Riu Palace Antillas

Spent 3 nights at Riu Antilles in July. This Riu is top-notch for cleanliness and similar to other Riu “adults-only.” If you’ve spent time in other Caribbean destinations, it’s no different. There is a beach. There is a pool. There is a pool bar and a lunch buffet (with lots of fresh, local fish). The excursions are similar: catamarans, snorkeling, ATV tours, etc. We were able to get into Krystal and the Aruba restaurant at 6:00 without waiting (party of 2) on a Sunday and Monday. On Tuesday, we went down around 7:45 but the Steakhouse was full for the night; got a pager for the Italian restaurant and were seated at 8:30. No problem getting a palapa each day at various times and there were always open chairs at the pool. Late checkout was $15/person per hour and after we checked out we went to the lunch buffet before asking for a taxi to the airport. Taxi was already pulling up; made it to the airport in 15 minutes. There have been complaints about the room keys cards. They actually changed out the door locks on our floor while we were there to a tap system, instead of the swipe cards.

Sitting in the lobby leaving our honeymoon as we write this. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff is 10/10. Everyone always had a smile on their face and was willing to help or answer questions. If you’re sitting on the beach they bring beach chairs to the palapas for you. Location was awesome a 5 minute walk to downtown. Food was incredible so many options at the buffet. Spa was amazing. The girls who did our couples massages were so sweet and massages were wonderful. Ocean of course was perfect. No waves 0 seaweed. It wasn’t as rowdy as the other reviews were making it seem. Sooooo fun. Would absolutely come back!

This was our second time at this resort. We chose to go back because we had a great experience the first time… a couple years later it felt like a completly different resort… it was very dirty. Halls going to rooms smelt musty and like mildew. Our room was filthy. We told the front desk immediately and they did nothing but send someone else up to “clean” and it looked just as dirty. We were never given fresh towels once they did clean. The food was terrible we only were able to go to two of the restaurants on the resort because they were filled already by 7pm so they would turn you away. Ridiculous. Why pay for all inclusive and then be turned away at the restaurants. Food on the island other places was amazinggggg! No need for an all inclusive and will never be back here. Do not waste your money there are such nicer places on the island. The Hilton and Hyatt were beautiful and great food! This was our honeymoon where I put a note in when we booked thinking they would do something nice and acknowledge but nothing instead they put us in a filthy room. Our room Was not fully cleaned until we complained for 4 days straight and I talked to another manager where he said it was unacceptable and had maintenance crew re grout the shower and paint and bleach. We were leaving on Sunday. Such a shame.

This is my 10th visit here. The location is amazing. Very clean. I get the junior suite ocean front room. I love the view at night from the balcony. It is adult only and service is wonderful. It is well worth the money considering all food, drinks are included. Many nationalities come here and all are very respectful of the other guests and staff. In aruba, you can do lots of excursions or just chill out. I want to relax mostly but do a couple excursions. I look forward to my vacation every year. I just came home yesterday but am already planning for next year.

A fantastic hotel right on the beach. Only thing that was a problem was it was very windy all the time. Beach is beautiful, theres a cabin that you can use floats and snorkel masks for free for a limited time. Staff are supper friendly and can’t do enough for you. Rooms lovely and well furnished. Fridge, restocked twice a day. Coffee machine and drinks cabinet in the room. Large bathroom with walk in shower, double sink. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner all provided. Expensive for us as we traveled from the UK using scheduled airlines but well worth the cost. Restaurants,Main buffet, Arubian, Asian, Italian and steak. Food delicious and plenty of choice. 24 hours snack bar also serving alcohol. Plenty of bars, nightclub Cocktail bar in the lobby with a different cocktail every night.
