Evalena Beach Hotel

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. My family and I stayed here in June 2025 and we are returning again this year. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. I have to mention Krasimir, one of the hotel chefs. The customer service he proved was outstanding. Well done to all!

Located on a quite corner of Protaras next to beach ,clean bright reception area check in speedy ,room bright spacious ,lovely welcome from Housekeeper who seemed to be the only staff member who en-gaged with me the whole time ,any way off to breakfast ,edible wouldn't say enjoyable tho , pool area small sunbeds close together ,there's a bar area inside Hotel which no one seems to use and never tried to myself either ,about 15 minute walk to main area of resort a few nice cafes nearby and on beachfront close by

Stayed here as a couple last week of October, we paid for a sea view room and had a side sea view, the room was very clean and serviced everyday. If you have a sea view room try and get from floor level 2 upwards as other reviews have said level 1 over looks a roof. The beds are very hard, so if you like a hard bed you will be happy, for us even though the stay was very positive, we would really think about if we would stay here again based on the beds, bed preference is personal but for us too hard. There is car parking at the front and rear which is free, the hotel is right on the walkway over looking the beach fronts there are a couple of beeches a very short walk away, there are some sun-beds but not many, you are only 15 minutes walk from fig tree bay beach with restaurants and a bigger beach. The walk along the front in either direction is a great way to start the day with a run or walk watching the sun come up. The pool area is tidy and I can understand why some people say there are not enough sunbeds when it’s busy, it’s not that there are not enough beds, there are beds on all the free spaces, it’s more that it’s just a small area, we didn’t see anybody reserve sunbeds early, maybe this happens when it’s busier? We also found the pool area was pretty much empty from after 3 onwards due to the pool being in the shade, but this October. We stayed half board plus, which is bed and breakfast, evening meal and drinks with meals, breakfast had lots of choice, from fruits, continental, hot food, pancakes and omelettes cooked at the food stations, evening meals were different each night, one night was a Cyprus night and the food was excellent, each night there was a different selection of hot foods, salads, soup and deserts, we thought for a buffet it was excellent and the selection of drinks on the package was really good with lots of cocktails, wine, beers and spirits. A couple of things we think the team should look at, 1 Towels, you can only change towels between 9am and 1pm, this means you need to leave the pool to change towels while you are still using them, this time makes no sense, you should be able to change towels from 8am and up to 5pm or 6pm…….1pm is not great if like us you go to the beach all day. 2 gym, the gym is really old fashioned and the kit old, my main moan here is it doesn’t open till 9am, it’s in the basement, let people in early from 6am….9am is too late 3, evening meal…..7pm is too late, please change it to 6pm. After a busy day sightseeing and being out and about we found 7pm too late, you would go down to eat and people would be waiting for the doors to open. 4, late check out, we were lucky and were able to arrange this, we appreciate it’s not always possible, but making people keep going up to check is unfair, if you want people to ask 24 hours before that ok. But let them know straight away. 5, food the buffet was really good but wasn’t always labelled, and a couple of times we picked up things that we would not have eaten or chosen (offal) Overall we really enjoyed the stay, it’s a great location for local sightseeing, relaxing on the beeches, and going for walks along the front, the hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean and we really enjoyed the food.

Overall a good visit. There are aspects that are great and aspects that are not as great. Great food. Plenty of choice. Well stocked. Good quality produce. People saying their children could not find anything suitable should really do some self reflection. Staff members are polite and attentive. We found all staff members to be like this. They are professional. The room. It is clean, well maintained and housekeeping does a great job. The pool area is slippery and when we stayed the sun goes behind the building around 2pm. This essentially leaves the pool area desolate. The only bar with sun is the beach bar and you have to pay despite being all inclusive. The all inclusive drinks are poor. The beer was flat and the wine was undrinkable. Of course the paid wine is lovely.

This is a lovely hotel with a nice mix of nationalities and ages - families, couples young and old. Location is great, it’s on the beach and only a short stroll to the main strip with lots of bars and restaurants. I stayed with my Wife and 2 children, we were bed and breakfast. The food was fresh and very tasty, we also had drinks in the bar which was just as good. The hotel had a relaxed atmosphere and felt very modern and clean. To balance out my rave review there are 2 things to watch out for - 1. The pool surround is very slippery, so tread carefully. And 2. The lady who empties the bins around the pool is incredibly grumpy and rude, you have been warned - do not get in her way! If you are thinking of booking this hotel, do it - the hotel is fantastic. We will be back.
