Iliada Beach Hotel

A very nice place with a beautiful beach. The ladies at the reception were very attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. I had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed our time here.

We arrived at 2am in the morning to be warmly greeted by the night watchman. What a lovely guy and often checked in on us when we bumped into him asking us if everything was ok. The ladies on reception were all friendly and helpful. The waiting staff were efficient and big shout to Abu who works very hard and always gives service with a smile. It seems some of the older waiters sit back and let home do the work. Fani also deserves a mention. Her infectious smile and happy persona. We were all inclusive. The food was plentiful, lots of choice, tasty and well presented. Well done to the chefs. The room was clean when we arrived but it stopped there. It seemed the cleaners emptied the bins, changed towels and put toilet cleaner down the toilet and that was that. They never touched the beds or floor or surfaces, so after 5 days I asked reception who informed me that bed sheets should be changed every three days and would be done the following day. This wasn’t done the day after so I had to chase it up. They also didn’t replenish the shower gels etc Little touches to the rooms with a bit of paint would make all the difference. The beds are comfy. We had a side room and I’d recommend earplugs as the noise from the bars goes on into the early hours. Entertainment wasn’t the best but there weren’t many listening either. It is non existent through the day. No aqua aerobics or water polo as advertised in fact I don’t think there is an entertainment team, we didn’t encounter any. Drinks are good although in flimsy plastic glasses. Hard plastic would be better but then they would need washing up. Note: rose wine is NOT white wine with a bit of red wine in it. Just say you haven’t got any. Plenty of sunbeds as a lots of people use the beautiful beach that the hotel sits a couple of meters away from. Guests from the next hotel come in and use the beds which I’m not sure should happen. As I sit here writing this review the music has come back on far too loud and drives you mad as it’s it’s the same few songs over and over again. Apart from the little negatives we would stay here again as it’s in a great location and has what you need for a relaxing holiday in the sunshine.
