The Golden Coast Beach Hotel

I had a wonderful experience at Golden Coast Beach Hotel. The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The hotel and rooms are very clean and well maintained. The food is excellent, with a great variety of choices that change regularly. Overall, a fantastic place to stay with great service, cleanliness, and food. Highly recommended!

I have recently returned from Golden Coast having got married there on 31 July. It was our family of four, plus all 36 of our guests stayed also. I will start by saying Felicity, the wedding planner is absolutely amazing and it is easy to see why so many reviews rate her highly! The organisation in the lead up to the wedding and the wedding itself was seamless. The hotel is lovely. We stayed in the family block. The room was nice and modern, on the small side, but completely manageable. Air con wasn’t the best in the room but again very manageable. Food was lovely, lots of variety. All inclusive drinks were very good, especially at the bar located near the beach. Amazing stay- will be back to celebrate our wedding anniversary in the future!

This hotel is an absolute nightmare of filth. I have never seen anything this dirty in my life. I’m 2 months away from giving birth and wanted to enjoy a few relaxing days, but this trip has turned into a complete nightmare. Since the day we arrived, I’ve felt sick because of how dirty this place is. The floors in the rooms were covered in crumbs, hair, and all kinds of dirt. They clearly hadn’t even been swept before check-in. We requested to change rooms, and they did give us another one — which is the only reason I’m giving this hotel even 1 star — but the second room was just as filthy as the first. There were stains on the towels and stains along the edges of the bed. One particular towel had a visible stain on it from the very first day we arrived. Every single day, I would leave that stained towel aside so that it would be replaced, but when I came back, the exact same towel would be there again, neatly folded as if it had been freshly changed. This happened repeatedly. It honestly seems that instead of replacing used towels, they simply fold them nicely and put them back for the next use. This is absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable from a hygiene perspective. It even looked and felt like there was dirt or some kind of debris in the bed itself. The bed linen has old, worn-out color, and honestly, I feel sick even lying in this bed. I don’t even want to imagine what the stains were from because I already feel sick thinking about it. Then came the ants — all over the sweets they had left behind and even on the floor. The water pressure in the bathroom is terrible; the water barely comes out. And apparently, one tiny bottle of shower gel is supposed to be enough for two adults. The dirt and lack of hygiene don’t stop at the rooms. The elevators, hallways, and common areas are all in an absolutely disgusting condition. We are paying a significant amount of money for this hotel, but what exactly are we paying for? I have been crying every day and counting down the hours until we can finally leave. Absolutely unacceptable. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Golden Coast Hotel is in a very good location and has many things going for it. We opted for the All Inclusive package, the selection was quite limited for our taste, so I will upload the drinks menu as well so future guests can see what is included before deciding. The hotel is very conveniently located, with a supermarket close by, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. There is both an outdoor and indoor swimming pool, and one of the strongest points of the hotel is the beach, right at the edge of the property there is a large sandy beach with plenty of umbrellas and sunbeds, which makes it very easy to spend the whole day between the pool and the sea. There are several bars around the hotel and evening entertainment for both adults and children. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a large balcony, good lighting and a smart control system for the room, we also received a lovely welcome package with Commandaria, which I personally really appreciated. The food was fine, but for us this was the area with the most room for improvement, the variety felt limited at times and some dishes would benefit from better presentation, the food itself does not necessarily need to change completely, small details in plating and presentation would already make a noticeable difference. The same applies to the All Inclusive drinks, offering a little more variety would improve the experience, for example, having more than one option in certain spirit categories would be appreciated, lf this is not possible, then focusing on cocktail presentation would already help, the correct amount of ice, fresh herbs, garnish and glassware make a big difference. My main constructive feedback to the hotel would be to focus more on the small details that turn a good stay into a memorable one. Calling guests by their names creates a much more personal experience, I also noticed many young team members working around the hotel, this is a great opportunity to teach them early to smile, greet guests naturally and ask open-ended questions, once these habits become part of their everyday interactions, guests immediately feel more recognised and welcome. There is a lot to like about Golden Coast Hotel, the location, beach, rooms and friendly team already provide a strong foundation, with more attention to presentation, personalisation and consistency, the experience could move to another level.
