Hotel Le Meridien Lav

We stayed at this wonderful hotel as two families, and we all had such a fantastic time. The hotel is absolutely immaculate, both inside and out, and we honestly couldn’t fault it. I’d read some negative reviews before going, but I really can’t relate to any of them. It is a large hotel and, being there during peak season, of course it can get busy. However, we never had any problem getting sunbeds and, importantly, we weren’t getting up early to reserve them. We walked to the nearest supermarket on the days we wanted to pick up drinks and snacks for the children, which was really convenient. There are some lovely restaurants within walking distance and an inflatable aqua park we went to twice. The spa and facilities were very impressive. We took Ubers into Split, which were around €20 each way. The traffic could be quite heavy at times, but it was absolutely worth it. Split is beautiful, and the location made it easy to enjoy both the hotel and the surrounding area. We also feel the hotel photos really don’t do it justice, it is even more beautiful in person and amazing sunsets. We felt completely safe with our children, and all of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had a brilliant holiday and would definitely stay here again.

This was our fourth stay at Le Méridien Lav, and once again, we had an absolutely fantastic experience. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and always spotlessly clean and tidy. The service is one of the things that truly makes this hotel special. The staff are amazing – always friendly, smiling, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. You really feel well taken care of throughout your stay. The breakfast is easily 10/10! There is everything you could possibly want, with a huge selection of fresh food, fruit, pastries, and much more. There is also an egg station where they prepare eggs exactly the way you like them. The beach is perfect, with complimentary sunbeds and as many fresh towels as you need. The whole resort has such a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere – another 10/10 from us. The restaurants at and around the hotel are quite expensive. The food is perfectly fine, but we would definitely recommend taking a Bolt into Split for dinner. It only takes around 10 minutes and costs approximately €12 each way, and you’ll have a huge selection of great restaurants to choose from. Overall, another fantastic holiday and experience at Le Méridien Lav. The fact that this was our fourth stay probably says it all – we absolutely love coming here and will definitely be back! ❤️

Had an absolutely amazing stay at Le Meridien. Hotel manager Josep and manager at Gooshter, Gabriel are legends! We will for sure return to this amazing place. I can highly recommend this.

This was the worst hotel experience of my life. We paid approximately €1,300 for two nights for a family of four (two adults and two children, aged 3 and 7). The hotel is completely run-down. The rooms smell of mold, and the corridors smell even worse — an extremely strong, pungent mold odor. We also found serious discrepancies in the hotel’s billing, for which we have collected evidence. There were cigarette butts on the balcony, pubic hair around the toilet, questionable stains all over the floor, and damaged bathroom fixtures. We even found hair in food that we had ordered to our room at a premium price. There was not even an apology, as if it were perfectly normal to find hair on a €21 order of fries and nuggets. Throughout the night, from approximately midnight until 4 a.m., suitcases and furniture were constantly being moved around. The noise was so loud that it woke up our children in the middle of the night. This happened BOTH nights. When we called reception, we were told, “We’ll send security,” but even afterwards, the noise continued exactly as before. I also recorded videos documenting the noise. An absolutely unacceptable experience. In my opinion, guests should seriously reconsider staying here. Based on our experience, this hotel falls far below the standard anyone should reasonably expect at this price point.

This was a beautiful resort. The rooms and common areas were very clean, the gym is well equipped, and the breakfast was fantastic. The bar also had some really great cocktails. After breakfast, you can see staff doing a very thorough cleaning of the area. This property is right along the beach and has the views to prove it. The hotel is a short drive from the city center of Split and breakfast can get busy, but the staff is wonderful. Special thanks to Jane and Mary Crystalline at the breakfast and to Mia the concierge. We appreciate all your help in making our stay memorable. Would definitely return.
