Aminess Vival Grand Azur Hotel

We have been returning guests at the Grand Azur Hotel for at least 10 years. We usually spend 7-10 days here in the fall after the intense heat of summer. The prices are lower and there are no crowds. Orebic and the surrounding area, with the Franciscan monastery on the hill and the cemetery next to it, with its sailors from a bygone era and tales of times gone by, are wonderful. The hotel is clean, the staff work hard and are very friendly. The front office manager helps us with everything like a good friend. We stay in a junior suite, which is comfortable and has a magnificent view of the beautiful sea and Korcula. The food selection is plentiful, and wine, beer, and soft drinks are included in the half-board. The fitness center could use a little maintenance, and a sauna would be nice. Overall, it has lost some of its former glory and could do with a facelift, but it is still a lovely place where we enjoy coming every year.

We stayed during the last week of the season in October and had a wonderful week. The scenery is breathtaking. The sea is crystal clear & perfect for swimming. Our room (a junior suite) was spacious although the bathroom was a little small. Balcony with beautiful views. Food plentiful and good quality. Plenty of choice (even as a vegetarian). Red wine at meals is good quality. Beautiful walks along the coast path in both directions, and up the hill to the church & cafe. Orebic is 10 minutes walk & a lovely town. The ferries to Korcula are easy & cheap. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

First time in Croatia,will definitely not be the last,the transfer is 2hrs30min,but worth it,we stayed for 10days and was a very peaceful break with plenty to do and with beautiful scenery and boat trips,we had no issues with the food plenty of choice and fruit was amazing, just a Shame no tea and coffee at lunch and dinner.room was a little old fashioned but we didn't mind that for the fantastic views from the 4th floor, we hope to return with more of our family

We stayed 6th to 17th October 25 for 11 nights. Weather was mostly beautiful and sunny. We had a seaview room with balcony, fantastic view. The room was quite small but adequate . We had tea and coffee facilities but for some reason no milk ever issued. The cleaning service was a bit 'adhoc as they sometimes didn't turn up even when you requested with the card. Generally the hotel was clean with just a few areas that could maybe do with slight attention as well as bits of maintenance. Food was generally very good but a little repetitive. Also a bonus was the all inclusive light (drinks with meals) beer, wine and soft drinks. Toni, Leonarda and Tereza on reception were always smiling and friendly. A deluge of kids entered the hotel for a couple of nights halfway through the holiday who were a bit unruly and not very well supervised by their teachers/leaders and took over the games room without warning. The walk into Orebic was heavenly as was the ferry across to beautiful Korcula (4.6 euros return). The staff were mostly very pleasant. One of the things that spoilt our experience at the hotel was the disgusting attitude of the bar staff in the reception especially Sophia who was totally bad mannered and ignorant..she is a detriment to your hotel and company..we had been warned previously by several other people in the hotel about that bar and boy were they right. We complained to the manager but 'nowt' was done and no apology. Overall we had a great holiday, met some lovely people and was good value for money. The area is beautiful and views stunning having also ventured out with our friends a couple of days in their car. I would have awarded 5 stars had it not been for bad bar staff. Would we stay again?...yes definitely and would also recommend to anyone.
