Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa

We stayed here two years ago and had a lovely time, so decided to return. We opted for the same villa style room - two ensuite double bedrooms, with sitting room and balcony facing the sea. The hotel is large, with an amazing beachfront. The beach front sun beds, whilst popular, were nicely spaced and plenty of options. The sea on most days was calm and great for swimming / snorkelling. Lots of options with the onsite water sports. The restaurant at breakfast can be busy but there are so many options catering for many different tastes but also emphasis on local food. We opted for half-board again and the buffet in the evening is really very good, with around 10-12 different main courses to choose from, which varied each evening. Plenty of different breads, salads, cheeses, desserts too. Therefore, caters very well for young and older families. Would recommend a drink in the Aura lounge, sitting out on the balcony facing the beach. The hotel also has a very large and popular outdoor pool, although we mainly opted for the beach. The indoor pool is also very good, although understandably quiet given how lovely the weather was. If you are staying in a villa, then you can typically park your car outside/just below, which is helpful if taking trips to the neighbouring town or shops. The hotel is also about 30 minutes from Krk Island, which has some lovely towns and beaches. Service at the hotel was excellent which added to a great holiday. Would happily return.

Perfect location between Opatija and Rijeka. Beautiful atmosphere, the rooms are big and all with a view to the sea. The whole hotel is perfectly clean, with not noise at all since it is located in a perfect spot. No noice between rooms! The service was the best. Great restaurantes, including Nebo Michelin 2025 There are 5 restaurants and all of them were great. The best breakfast Buffet I have been lately.

2 room service coffees served in take away cups half filled for 18 Euros. Trainees all over the hotel. No basic amenities in the rooms / villas, have to call housekeeping for everything, get delivered in over 40 min every time. Thats some of the feedback, and there was more. Low value for money, we wont come back.

We spent 4 nights at this hotel & it was perfect from start to finish. We stayed in a villa which was very spacious & comfortable. We eat in the pizzeria once which was very good & twice in the fish restaurant by the beach which was excellent. Enjoyed a couple of lunches at Sunce the pool bar again very good. Breakfast was always taken in the Kitchen restaurant where there was plenty of choice. Unfortunately I can’t comment about the spa as we didn’t get round to using it as we spent our time sitting down by the beach & swimming in the sea. Many sun loungers & umbrellas available. Staff throughout the hotel are lovely always happy courteous & helpful. For the 4 days we felt we were enjoying a 5 Star experience so would definitely recommend this hotel

It’s been a while and I just realized I never submitted this draft. That staff at this hotel are just about the most amazing in the hospitality industry. By the time we checked out, I felt like we were saying goodbye to new friends. Petar in the executive lounge was a wealth of knowledge and gave us great suggestions and also provided exceptional service. The concierge helped us procure football tickets. This was a beautiful resort and I hope I have a reason to come back.
