Hotel Mediteran Plava Laguna

Rude reception staff rooms very small. No kettle not enough pillows. Terrible attitude of some reception staff. The buffet is uncontrold no order and like a zoo

I have just come back from a disappointing weeks holiday at Hotel Mediteran Plava Laguna. Music was played very loudly from 8.30pm to 11pm to the point that you couldn’t sit comfortably outside relaxing with a drink and you could hear it in the room loudly with the doors closed. Our room overlooked the restaurant dining area and the music was played at the other end. Perhaps a room around the other side of the hotel would have been quieter. I did ask to be moved as I had already requested a quiet room on booking but they couldn't accommodate me. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the atrium where all the air conditioning units were, which was again noisy. This did stop at 9.30pm but started again at 5.45am along with the gardeners who started using petrol engine hedge trimmers 4 out of the 7 days we stayed. I did complain and it appeared to stop for one morning only. Rooms were basic with a very small shower room with no where to put any toiletries. There is a safe in the room but you have to pay to use it. I have never been anywhere where I have had to pay for the use of one and it should be a standard item in any room. The catering (restaurant and bar) staff were very friendly and the buffet had a good variety although slightly on the cold side. I am not one to normally complain and I have never written a review before but I really did feel the need to do so on this occasion. It is such a shame as the hotel has a lot to offer; nice sized pool and terraced area which is cleaned daily. Plenty of chairs and hammocks, kids entertainment and in a nice location. The loudness of the music and unfortunately where ou room was located spoilt our holiday and turned it from being what should have been relaxing into very stressful.

We had a perfect stay at Hotel Mediteran Plava Laguna! Everything was excellent – from the service and cleanliness to the beautiful surroundings. The highlight of our holiday was definitely the aquagym with Marco – he was so energetic, full of positive vibes, and always in a great mood! The music selection was fantastic, with great songs in English and Spanish that kept everyone moving and smiling. We truly enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to come back!

Arrived early & could check in & have our room which was great! Kids entertainment was great, our daughter is obsessed with Pepi. Dinner in the evenings were good, there was a good range of food with lots of different choices to choose from. Breakfast however, this was lovely but it was the exact same every morning. 3 different types of eggs, smoked sausages & bacon and pastries. My husband has a nut allergy. We found the allergen booklet located at the front of the restaurant & it wasn’t clearly visible we had to look for it. I’d question if it was up to date due to the sheer amount of dust on it. While having an allergen matrix is legally compliant with the EU regulations I’d question if it was upto date. He did struggle at breakfast which was a downside. The restaurant layout & customer flow is incorrect. During busy points there was some serious bottlenecking to a point where my daughter got pushed & nearly had her head hit on the counter side (due to her height & being way to busy) Pool & loungers. Pools were a really good size & pool loungers with availability was questionable. People would be going down early morning to place towels down then going off for the day and not returning until mid afternoon. You get this issue everywhere you go however, when there is no one physically occupying those loungers for anything from 1-6hrs a day but having placed belongings on them was quite frustrating when there was 3 of us sharing 1 lounger. With all this being said would I go back, yes I would. Just feel if the hotel policed the lounger situation a bit better & switched up the breakfast offer as it was always the same I think it would be a great addition to the hotel. Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos, wish I did!

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff were super nice and always helpful. The animation team was great – they had fun activities during the day and shows in the evening. The room was clean and comfortable, and everything worked well. It was a relaxing and fun holiday. I’d definitely come back!
