Nelia Gardens Hotel

Very disappointed in this hotel. Our room was near the play area and very noisy. The walls are thin. The room was very run down and not cleaned properly. Not worth what we paid unfortunately. The food was excellent at the NELIA beach and wish I’d stayed there instead. Perfect location although noisy. Staff friendly and helpful. Sunbed area very small and unable to actually get a sunbed. Spent most days at the beach or out. No entertainment but again NELIA beach provided this and it was a lovely hotel. I would not recommend this hotel or stay again

We stayed 10 days between October and November. The weather was perfect for me (as I melt and burn quickly). The biggest strength of the hotel is it's location and safety. I cannot name one other place we visited we could leave our stuff or let children run around without worrying too much. Hotel grounds are small and cosy (yet far more kid friendly than in partnering Nelia Beach). The area itself is very calm and safe, and the sea is perfect for small kids. We found few more toddler friendly beaches (check Landa Beach), but that is shallow enough and calm. If you go bit beyond Kaliva bar you will have sandy entrance and by the very end of the local beach (Pantachou) you reach small cliff great for snorkeling but not too deep. Staff is lovey. You eat breakfast in the hotel restaurant, which is basic, but good enough. Drinks list is short, but good enough. Snacks in between meals are quite ok (nachos seems old). Downsides on the local bar is that serving ice-cream by watching the clock to the minute seems petty, while drinks are served all the time. Also, seems most loved flavours run out fast, but there are left (in scoops form for cash-paying guests) - as others mentioned restaurant is open for others, but that wasn't a problem (except kids being barred from choc ice-cream and seeing others got it). The biggest downside of both restaurant, snack area and pool area (and even more dinner/lunch) were the smokers. There is no real division, and smoking table can be next to yours. All is up to the guests, who may or not be considerate enough. In our case it was less of a problem in Nelia Granders, but was an absolute disaster in Nelia Beach which we had dinner and lunch in (and should have kids disco). Kids Disco and play area in the Nelia Beach was a joke. Won't even go there. That's why Gardens was better at least because of the playground. In Nelia Gardens food and staff were good or great. Variety was ok, but food too mild (but they gave spices). Desserts were overfilled with cream, but some were brilliant. It was good for the price. I don't mind. Kids corner with snacks - brilliant. And then you sit down at the non-smoking table with kids, and some other guests (specific group usually) will sit next to you and start smoking making a form of statement of it. It ruins everything. Overall, it was good. I'd give it a 5. Now I give it a 4, but should give 3 or 2 just because how bad experience becomes due to the unescapable smoke.

We have visited this hotel in 2023 and we loved it. To say it has gone down hill since then is an understatement, rooms are dated, falling apart and dirty. The pool area is tiny and the sunbeds are taken at 4am in the morning by older people who believe they can tell children not to splash. The staff however could not be friendlier and helpful with anything you needed especially the staff in the restaurant. We won’t return to this location again

Very nice hotel , rooms cleaned daily Staff was very pleasant and welcoming Food was good as I was only B&B but rest of food on offer looked varied and good, Only 10 mins walk from harbour and same for the bus route to protaras. Started to get busy last few days and that caused only issue as the pool area for sub-beds is smallish so people would put towels on beds by pool and then go and do other things and come back 2 hours later… There are other places to sit not directly by the pool .

Lovely hotel- some good some bad. Booked with Jet2, on arrival to hotel they had no booking for us! Not what you need when you arrive after midnight and a long day travelling. Night reception put us in a room ( family of 3 with 2 beds) but this was quickly rectified in the morning by the reservations manager. Who did her best to ensure we were happy. Food- Breakfast was served in Nelia Gardens which was lovely and plenty of choice. Always had a warm welcome with a beautiful smile from Monica. Lunch and dinner is served at Neila Beach hotel across the road. Food abit hot and miss. Self service drinks machine is not cold. Puddings were amazing- not your typical all inclusive puddings that looked different but taste the same. Snacks are available at Neila Gardens and are made to order. Ice creams also available during certain times of the day. Pool- Freezing cold but area well kept. Super comfy sun beds but get up early if you want a spot in the sun. Life guard was noted on 2days of our stay only. Beach towels available from reception. Beach- We only used once but you can get free sun beds there. Take show shoes. Room- We had a 1 bed apartment with a lounge area, dinning table and kitchen area. Plenty of storage. Maybe alittle outdated however kept clean and housekeeping came everyday and all are wonderful and friendly. Napa Crown- Bar attached to hotel with big screens showing sky sports. All staff are super friendly and work incredibly hard. Food is fantastic. Supermarket next door to hotel and main strip less then 10 mins walk. We hired a buggy for €150 for 24 hrs to have a tour round and do some sight seeing. Visited some amazing beaches. Harbour is 5mins walk from hotel and well worth a visit. Overall we had an enjoyable holiday and felt it was a fair price for what we paid. Cyprus is kept beautifully clean.
