Almost everyone from arrival to departure was happy, friendly and offering to help in any way they could to make it an enjoyable stay at the hotel. The lobby area was absolutely stunning and in fact we sat there most evenings. It was a short walk to our allocated room which was modern and spacious. It was next to the pool and we couldn't have asked for better. One cleaner in particular deserves a mention, and that is Mohammed Yousaf. He did an amazing job!! There were 4 pools in total (the water was cold) and the towel guys and lifeguards did an excellent job and were always cheerful and friendly. The beach was only a very short walk away, lovely and clean with plenty of sunbeds. At the beach bar there was free popcorn every day, and you could also book in advance for a Pizza meal and a Chinese meal during your stay. Both of these were excellent and was an alternative to the main restaurant. At lunchtime there was the option to eat at the beach bar too (usually chips and grilled meats etc). Once again, the staff here were brilliant! The main restaurant provided a wide variety of food to cater for all tastes. In fact, my partner is coeliac and was well catered for, and they even baked GF bread to meet her dietary requirements. All the chefs were very accommodating and did their utmost to ensure every visit was an excellent experience (a special mention goes to Head Chefs Ahmed & Bashir who couldn't do enough for us). One point to mention is that wine was NOT available at lunchtime or even at the "special" a-la-carte meals at the beach bar in the evening, for reasons unknown to us. Also, it seemed most strange that ice cream was only available from the coffee bar 8-10pm!!! Animation Team - what can we say???!!!! There was only one member of the Team who spoke to us during our stay. During the day there was easy-listening music played at the main pool area but the beach bar had their music playing at the same time, so when guests were sat around the pool reading or relaxing, the 2 lots of music were fighting against one another, so 1 would turn the volume up, then the other would turn theirs up!! Our main criticism is that on a daily basis, the Animation Team insisted on playing music EXTREMELY LOUD when doing aqua-aerobics, but they had to shout to those taking part in the pool, whereas if they turned the blaring music down, they wouldn't have to shout to make themselves heard! The music was still blasting out when the activity had finished and we had to ask for this to be turned down every time - much to the annoyance of the Animation Team and very occasionally they reluctantly did so. In fact, the hotel manager had to tell them on a few occasions to turn it down. Usually the music they played was to suit themselves and the younger age group, whereas if you looked at the average age of the guests, they were between 40-70. We did venture to the sister hotel next door (Shams Safaga) and what a difference their Animation Team was!! They were all smartly dressed in matching attire and presented their shows in a professional manner. The way they interacted with the guests was a pleasure to see. They invited us to join in with their activities - even though we were not staying at that hotel. "Nu Nu" deserves a special mention for his friendliness and he was a pleasure to speak to. We were not at all pestered to go on any trips or to book the use of the spa facilities. We did not venture out of the hotel (other than to the Pharmacy at Shams Safaga) so we cannot comment on what there is around, ie shops etc. We did overhear one member of staff in Reception stay that the hotel was at 99% capacity but it certainly didn't feel like that to us, which is a sign of excellent management in that the staff coped with the volume of guests brilliantly. Even though we were the only English couple there (mainly Russians and Eastern Europeans), we would recommend any English people to just book it. You will not be disappointed and will be most welcomed! ALL the Management Team were AWAYS friendly and approachable. They were very happy to help and/or listen to any comments which guests had. It was a delight to see that they were not "hidden in an office" away from guests and out of view as is so often the case. In fact, they made us feel like family and it didn't feel like we were staying in a hotel - more like being in their own home! It was so good, we are seriously considering going back in September!!!
's amazing vibes and more quiet to get chill easily, and the staff is really respectful and service is okay, the quality of the food is nice, animation team also nice and friendly
