Palm Beach

My husband and I just spent a fantastic week at the Palm Beach Resort in Hurghada, and overall, we left with some really warm memories. If you are looking for a solid 4-star experience that doesn't break the bank, gives you direct access to the Red Sea, and lets you genuinely unwind, this place is worth considering. Stepping away from the hotel topic for a moment, I also want to highly recommend Sheriff Egypt, a fantastic local agency that organizes excursions. You can easily find them online just by searching their name. Their prices are significantly lower than what hotel guides charge, and the quality of service is top-notch. I especially recommend booking their Cairo trip in a small group of up to eight people, complete with an individual guide who speaks fluent, excellent English. We also did their Super Safari, which was an absolute blast. If you want to explore Egypt comfortably and affordably, definitely reach out to them! Here is a breakdown of our experience, with all the little details that actually matter when you are staying there: 1. Room and Grounds. We booked a standard room with a pool view. It was clean, spacious enough for two, and surprisingly quiet at night. The air conditioning was a lifesaver given the July heat, and housekeeping did a lovely job folding towels into swans and flowers every day (we left a small tip each morning, which is always appreciated). The hotel grounds are exceptionally well-kept—lots of green lawns, palm trees, and pathways that lead straight down to the beach. 2. Beach and Snorkeling. This was definitely the highlight of our trip! The resort has its own private sandy beach with plenty of sun loungers and windbreakers. But the real magic is right off the shore: the coral reef starts just a few meters out. We spent hours snorkeling with our masks and fins, seeing colorful fish and even a couple of stingrays near the drop-off. Just a tip: bring reef shoes, as the entry from the shore has some dead coral and pebbles before you hit the deeper water. 3. Food and Drinks. The main restaurant offers a buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The variety was good—lots of fresh salads, grilled meats, traditional Egyptian dishes, and an incredible pastry corner at dinner that my husband couldn't stay away from. Breakfast had a live station where a chef made custom omelets and pancakes. We also tried the Italian à la carte restaurant once during our stay, which was a nice change of pace. The bars served local drinks, and the beach bar was super convenient for grabbing cold water or iced soda without having to walk back up to the main lobby. 4. Service and Location. The staff here are genuinely warm and attentive without being pushy. From the front desk receptionists who helped us check in quickly to the pool attendants always ready to set up your towels, everyone was polite and welcoming. Location-wise, the hotel is about 15–20 minutes north of Hurghada's city center (El Dahar). We took a local taxi into town one evening to buy some souvenirs and spices, which was very easy to arrange right outside the hotel gates. Minor drawbacks to keep in mind: Wi-Fi in the lobby can be a bit slow during peak evening hours when everyone is online. If you need a stable connection, it's easier to grab a local e-SIM or data package at the airport. Some of the furniture in the rooms is a bit dated, but everything was fully functional and clean, so it didn't bother us much. Final Verdict. We came here looking to disconnect, swim, and enjoy the sun together, and Palm Beach Resort delivered. It’s not an ultra-luxury 5-star palace, but for a comfortable, fun, and relaxing vacation by the Red Sea, it offers fantastic value for money. We would gladly come back!

Felejthetetlen karácsony a Palm Beach Resortban ​2025 karácsonyán jártunk a szállodában az egész családdal, és előre elmondhatom: senki sem bánta meg az utat. ​Nem egy hatalmas komplexumról van szó, így kifejezetten ajánlom azoknak, akik a kisebb, kevésbé nyüzsgő hoteleket kedvelik. Ez egy tipikus egyiptomi szálloda, ahol a szolgáltatások és a személyzet is teljesen rendben voltak, mindenki nagyon kedvesen bánt velünk. ​Az ételekkel is teljesen megvoltunk elégedve, és ami a legfontosabb: senkinek sem „kapta el” a gyomra a híres fáraó átka. decemberben különösen jól esett, hogy az egyik medence fűtött volt. Bár a tenger nekünk kicsit hideg volt, így abba nem nagyon mentünk be, maga a tengerpart szép és hangulatos. ​Külön plusz pontot érdemelnek a karácsonyi programok, amelyek nagyon hangulatosra sikeredtek. Összességében remek választás volt a családnak! ​ ​An Unforgettable Christmas at Palm Beach Resort ​We stayed at the Palm Beach Resort with the whole family for Christmas in 2025, and I can say right away: nobody regretted the trip. ​It is not a massive complex, so I especially recommend it to those who prefer smaller, less bustling hotels. It's a typical Egyptian hotel where the services and staff were completely fine, and everyone was very kind to us. ​We were also completely satisfied with the food, and most importantly, nobody got sick or caught the "Pharaoh's curse." In December, it was a huge plus that one of the pools was heated. Although the sea was a bit too cold for us so we didn't really go in, the beach itself is very nice and scenic. ​A special bonus goes to the Christmas programs, which added a wonderful festive touch to our stay. Overall, it was a great choice for the family!

Palm Beach - I heard all beaches here are public, which means anyone can go, but there are not umbrellas or chair for you. They are only for the hotel guests. We weren't sure how to get into Palm beach. We parked across Barcelo Aruba and walked to the beach(there was a road leading to it, a parking lot). Good beach, however this beach area we got to had some seaweed. the water wasn't clear. Nice walk along the beach there are shops and you can see different resorts. no noisy jetskis.

It’s my fifth visit!!! 🥰And of course I will come back! Supper service! We got 2 rooms on 1 and 2 floors! We didn’t like it! So next day we got 2 rooms on ground floor! 170 and 173! Thank to all staff! And thank Miriam for very good food!! 😋😋😋
