This is an honest and detailed review written whilst I am still staying at this hotel, with four days remaining of our holiday. Unfortunately, based on our experience so far, I would strongly advise others to avoid this resort. To begin with, this is absolutely not a 4-star hotel — in my opinion, it would struggle to meet the standards of even a 2-star property. I also would not consider this to be a true all-inclusive resort. Meals, snacks, and drinks are only available during restricted set times, and the food choices are extremely limited. The snack bar offered little more than burgers and chips, which were at least edible, or what they attempted to pass off as a chicken wrap. The drinks were equally disappointing. I rarely drink alcohol, but I did try a few cocktails during our stay. The alcohol was so watered down it was almost undetectable, and the cocktails lacked any consistency. At one point, I was supposedly served a double rum piña colada and still could not taste any alcohol whatsoever. The hotel appears to cater predominantly towards German and Dutch guests. Anyone who has stayed at similar resorts may understand the issue this can sometimes create. Throughout our stay, we experienced extremely rude and entitled behaviour from other guests — people constantly pushing in front of us at the bar and restaurant, or walking directly into us as though my pram and baby were invisible. It became genuinely frustrating and uncomfortable. Without question, this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. This holiday was especially important to us as it was our first trip abroad as a couple with our 6-month-old daughter. Prior to arrival, we contacted the hotel on three separate occasions to ensure a baby cot would be provided. We arrived after 1am and were escorted to what can only be described as the smallest, most dated, and dirtiest room on the entire complex. Unsurprisingly, there was no baby cot. Instead, staff had wedged a tiny single bed between the wall and the main bed, which was completely unsuitable and unsafe for an infant. I genuinely would not rate this room even 1 star. My partner and I immediately returned to reception to request a room that resembled the modern standard rooms advertised on the booking website. The receptionist responded by pointing towards a board displaying upgrade prices. We have since been informed that this is apparently a common tactic used at some resorts in Hurghada. I had already paid for an upgraded room when booking, yet the receptionist was dismissive and extremely rude when I explained this. Sadly, much of the male staff throughout the resort appeared to have very little respect for women. Eventually, we were moved to what they described as a “better room overlooking the pool” at “no extra cost,” as though they were doing us a favour. In reality, it was simply the standard room we should have received in the first place. A baby cot was eventually delivered, however several bars were missing from it, making it unsuitable and unsafe for a baby. Unfortunately, the entertainment area was directly opposite our balcony, and every evening the music bass was so loud our walls were literally vibrating. After several sleepless nights, we had no choice but to request another room change, this time to the main building. Our first night in the new room was no better. None of us could sleep due to the mattress being so old and hard it genuinely felt like sleeping on a wooden board. At 3:30am, we found ourselves back at reception yet again. Staff attempted to “fix” the issue with what they called a mattress topper, although it was essentially just a duvet placed on the bed. After adding a second one, it became barely tolerable enough to get a few hours sleep. The following morning, we had to practically beg reception for a replacement mattress, which they eventually swapped from another room. The air conditioning unit in the room sounds like a broken lawnmower whenever it is running. To make matters worse, whilst writing this review at 10:30pm, there has been drilling and hammering taking place directly below our room. It woke our baby immediately. When I first contacted reception, they denied any work was being carried out. I even went searching around the building trying to locate the source of the noise myself. Eventually, when my partner went down to reception in person, staff finally admitted maintenance work was being done and told us it would continue for “another ten minutes.” The cleanliness throughout the resort is unacceptable. The pools have a slimy residue across the bottom, and guests are only permitted to use both the pools and a tiny cordoned-off section of the sea between 8am and 5pm. Another constant issue is the relentless harassment from staff attempting to sell additional services. Every single day, we were approached repeatedly regarding spa treatments, overpriced excursions, tattoo services, and glass-bottom boat trips. At one point, we were quoted £90 for a men’s haircut and facial alongside a facial for me. The sales tactics are extremely pushy and exhausting when all you want to do is relax. The on-site pharmacy also attempted to charge me €5 for a packet of baby wipes that can be purchased from the shop outside the hotel for the equivalent of around 16p. To top everything off, both my partner and I have suffered upset stomachs for the past two days and are now actively avoiding eating within the resort. I do, however, want to mention one genuinely positive aspect of our stay. Our cleaner, Bassam, has been absolutely lovely throughout our holiday and extremely thorough in his work. He has consistently gone above and beyond to ensure our room was kept clean and well stocked with water each day. His kindness, professionalism, and hard work have been appreciated and are one of the very few positives we have experienced during our stay. I also want to mention a nearby restaurant called Havana Grill House. The staff there are friendly, the food is fresh, and the prices are extremely reasonable. If anyone from management at Palm Beach Resort takes the time to read this review, please consider it constructive criticism. There are serious issues throughout this resort that urgently need addressing so that other guests — especially families travelling with young children — do not have the same experience we have had. Sadly, this experience has completely put me off returning to Egypt in the future. Thanks for reading Aimee in room 157, 360 and 203 ☺️

Palm Beach - I heard all beaches here are public, which means anyone can go, but there are not umbrellas or chair for you. They are only for the hotel guests. We weren't sure how to get into Palm beach. We parked across Barcelo Aruba and walked to the beach(there was a road leading to it, a parking lot). Good beach, however this beach area we got to had some seaweed. the water wasn't clear. Nice walk along the beach there are shops and you can see different resorts. no noisy jetskis.
