Palm Beach

Overall, the whole experience has been meh. I would rate it a solid 5/10. Hurghada itself is a war zone. Think tons of rubble, plastic waste & rubbish. Additionally, the hotel we stayed at (Palm Beach resort) wasn’t the best in my opinion. Pros: - Got a good room in terms of location, not content (the beach was in front/right next to us) - The private beach was clean & tidy - Shower pressure was great - Food options were decent - Bedding & towels were clean - Excursion staff are very caring, attentive & friendly (booked via a different app called Viator) Cons: - Scammers kept wanting Euros instead of Egyptian Pounds (their actual currency). Don’t bother changing your money unless you already have Euros - Expect to be hassled/harassed by people trying to sell things 24/7 - Inattentive staff, not being able to communicate things properly - Anything you expected to be supplied as standard, you would be charged or would need to e.g. WiFi, mugs for tea,milk & coffee & more - No actual vibe, no atmosphere (it’s basically a hotel for 60+ yr old people) - Music was extremely low & not up to par - Expect your room to be cleaned at any time. Either morning or afternoon - Not enough towels & bottled water (we had 2x 500ml water in our room, had to ask for stock ups) - There was mould in some areas & shower door was very stiff - Everything felt like trouble to ask for - Definitely not a 4 star hotel. At most, a 2/3star hotel - A lot of staff present but some of the staff don’t do very much/lazy at their jobs - They need to hire actual bartenders to make the alcoholic drinks

We stayed at this hotel from November 30 to December 8, 2025. I can only recommend this hotel; we had a room right by the pool, cleaned daily, and the services were excellent, except for the beer, which is Egyptian and served from cans. I must also mention the head chef in the dining room, who is very friendly and always gives good advice. We will definitely come back here. Marcel

We spent our vacation in this hotel at the beginning of September. We are very satisfied with the service, cleanliness, food and drinks. The animation team is excellent, the evening show is ok. The sea is clean and clear, and the beach is sandy. The hotel met our expectations and I would come back again!

A long review from our one-week stay at Palm Beach Resort with a group of 8 – grab some popcorn 🍿 First, the pros: the garden area is beautiful and well kept, the animation team is super cheerful and youthful, with great programs happening all day within the hotel. The sandy beach is stunning and doesn’t get too deep too quickly (the marine life on the beach itself isn’t abundant, but we were on several excursions, so this didn’t bother me too much since there were plenty of fish☺️). The cocktails are delicious – both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Most of the food was tasty, but I’ll get into that later. There are several shops both inside and just outside the hotel (slightly cheaper outside, but not bad inside either), and we visited them multiple times a day. Unfortunately, the positives more or less end here 🥺. Now, the cons: as a couple, we were given a twin room instead of the double bed we had paid for. Even after three requests, it was not changed, so my partner and I had to sleep in separate beds for a week, which was quite unpleasant – who wants to sleep separately while on vacation with their partner? 🥲 The room itself was extremely low-quality for me. Maybe my expectations were high, but as our first trip to Egypt and our first holiday together, this really dampened my mood. Housekeeping also had issues. Sometimes towels weren’t changed for two days, toilet paper wasn’t always provided, and our shower gel ran out on the first day. I assume it wasn’t refilled before our arrival, and we had to ask almost daily, yet it was never topped up. Small toiletries were only provided on the first day, so I stocked up on shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner at the hotel shop. While not a huge deal, if these things are supposed to be provided, why weren’t they? 😅 We had to ask for everything constantly, and I started wondering if we were just a “problematic” group or if basic standards were really this hard to meet 🥹. Of course, all the Russian and German guests were in the renovated part of the hotel – maybe they have an issue with Hungarian guests? 🤣 Some in our group wanted a room change and were even willing to pay extra (unnecessarily), since it wasn’t just us who had problems. Even so, they said maybe in 2–3 days, so we gave up. This really took away from my first experience. As for the dolphins – not a priority for me, but my mom was disappointed. Everyone said they were always at the hotel, which was one reason we booked it, so you can imagine how many we actually saw 😂😂. The day after we left, a video was posted showing the dolphins, but I guess that’s just PR 🤣. Regarding food, opinions in our group were mixed, but mostly positive. The meals were tasty, though often repetitive. I personally enjoyed the beef dishes – I had them almost every dinner. Breakfast was always the same: scrambled eggs, with omelets made to order at the end of the restaurant, cheeses, salads, cold cuts, sausages with tomato sauce, sweet and savory pastries. At lunch, besides the restaurant, the pool bar offered hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, pizza, and ice cream every day, all very tasty. Vegetables and fruit were abundant at every meal. We read many reviews in multiple groups and on TripAdvisor, almost all of which were positive, so we went with high expectations. Maybe we’re just a particularly picky group (there’s a chance 🤣), but unfortunately, Palm Beach Resort did not impress us at all. Now that we are home, I feel like the previous reviews we read weren’t even about this hotel 😞. In summary, I have very mixed feelings. What really saved the week was our group ❤️. For me personally, the issues I mentioned made the stay more of a disappointment. I hope this post helps someone make a future decision and gives a peek at the less pleasant aspects, as some things came as a cold shower for us 🫠. Thanks for reading all the way through 🤣❤️. This was a very nice all inclusive resort. The food was good, lots of choices and clean rooms and very nice staff. My only issue was with the bed being way too hard and the rudeness of the other guests. When it was time to eat they acted like someone rang the cattle bell and acted like they were gonna run out of food. The only other thing I would have loved to know as a newbie to all-inclusive, was that alcohol was included and that there was self serve ice cream and other snacks throughout the day. Though we didn’t spend a lot of time at the resort because we had other activities planned.
