Royal Lagoons Aqua Park Resort & Spa

Really disappointing. On arrival, went to check in at reception - the bloke didn’t even look at us throughout checking us in. No hello, nothing. I just knew then this place was going to be bad. Got upto the room, we had 1 double bed, 1 single bed and a sofa bed that wasn’t made. I rang reception to ask for bedding as my son who was 4 was tired, we had been travelling all day and it was 19.30pm. After a number of attempts we got given a sheet! A SHEET! At 11pm!! I was still trying to get bedding until gone 6pm the next day! Reception staff don’t care and are really not helpful at all. Snigger in their language at you. The room is ok - but falling apart. It was comfortable though. The food - just awful. It’s like a cattle market in the dining room - not enough seats and rude guests like vultures. On the second day, our towels got pinched from around the pool. We then had to try sort this as I wasn’t paying for them as they say if you loose them. The hotel needs improvements. It’s falling apart. It’s absolutely NOT 4 or 5 stars! Id say it would possibly scrape a 3 star at best. Do not get roped in by the animation team to pay $40/euros to go watch a show on the beach - waste of time. The music was ridiculously loud - we were paying to watch the hotel team do a show - we could have watched a show at the hotel but stupidly sold how amazing this was…. It really wasn’t and wasn’t even set up when we arrived. If you leave the resort - leave at your own risk, harassed 24/7. We won’t be back. There’s nicer resorts than this!

This is not a. 5 star.hotel.A .3 at the best. I wasn't expecting the Ritz for what we had paid but Let's start with the pros Staff are amazing and make this place from the lifeguards setting up your sun loungers each morning. The pool bar staff make it that you don't need to get off your sun loungers as they bring your drinks to you. Restaurant staff and other bar staff are great. Grounds are clean and tidy the gardeners work hard on the green spaces each day. Pool.areas.are.large and plenty of space. Lovely promenade you can walk around at the back of the hotel with restaurants.and shops. Shops in the hotel are ok and reasonably priced. Shop bag, jewellers, t-shirt and a mini market s should you want to buy something. We had a superior room and whilst it needs updating it was clean. The room.was.cleanwd everyday and towel.art left was good. Negatives Food can be repetitive but can find something to.eat. just be prepared for long queues. You may struggle to find somewhere to sit once you have your food and can be a race to get a table sometimes if you are not there early and waiting for the restaurant to.ooen..they definitely need to look at more space. Lots of reps trying to sell.trips and spa treatments so if you can get a red bag from the towel area to avoid the constant stream of people bothering you whilst you try to relax. Entertainment is not good..loud music by the waterslide pool all day. Mini disco for kids for half an hour at 9pm then the team dancing for a bit in a show..foam.party one night in pool again loud music across the resort. There is also a disco that starts at 11pm and goes.on until 2am again loud music and shouting if you are in building A near the disco you may struggle to.sleep as the walls can vibrate from the bass that they have in there. Don't bother ringing reception as they don't answer or put the phone down as soon as you say you want to make a complaint or are not happy. They are not interested. Overall it was ok but needs work to be done, they are updating some of the outside areas by the pool, but it needs some money spending on the rooms. It is a good hotel for what you pay and the staff make this. Just the management need to help make this even better instead of just walking around and shouting at the staff..

Avoid this place if your from UK, management don't care about you!! This so called 5* resort is a 2.5 at best, the only and I mean only redeeming features are the bar staff, Dining Staff, the cleaners and the Life Guards , other than that I wouldn't piss on the rest of they were on fire especially the so called entertainment staff who after 11pm they have a disco which if your unfortunate enough to be put in Block A will keep u awake till at least 2 am . Food is mostly ok but gave lots of people Pharaoh's revenge ( squits ), uncooked chicken for instance. Please heed this warning ⚠️, we are here now and just trying to save future possible guests to go elsewhere. We would not recommend this shoddy attempt at a resort even if they let us stay for free for the next 40 years of Summer holidays, it really is that bad, you have been warned.

We had a good vacation the rooms was so good and the animation was the best it was a wonderful experience
