A very disappointing experience – not the 5-star holiday we expected We booked this hotel expecting a 5-star experience, hoping for a relaxing family holiday and beautiful memories. Unfortunately, our stay became a very stressful and disappointing experience. From the beginning, we noticed serious hygiene issues. We saw dirty dishes, glasses that did not appear to be properly washed, poor cleanliness in the restaurant and food areas, and we experienced problems that should not happen in a hotel advertised as 5 stars. During our stay, we saw cockroaches more than once. One of them appeared in our bathroom and in the sleeping room. We managed to take a photo as proof. Unfortunately, this was not the only time we noticed them, and we saw more cockroaches during our stay. This was very unpleasant and made us feel uncomfortable, especially while travelling with children. Several members of our family became seriously ill during our holiday, with stomach problems, vomiting, diarrhea, and extreme weakness. We had to seek medical help, and some of us required treatment. Instead of enjoying our holiday, we spent many days sick, exhausted, and trying to recover. We reported our concerns to the hotel, and we were shown other rooms. However, changing room did not solve the main problems – the hygiene and food safety concerns remained. Even after receiving medical treatment, we were still worried about eating because we continued feeling unwell after meals. A holiday should be a time to relax and create wonderful memories, but unfortunately many of our days were spent dealing with illness and disappointment. This was far below the standard we expected from a hotel presented as 5 stars. Despite everything, we would like to mention the positive side of this hotel. The outdoor area is truly beautiful. The swimming pool areas, the greenery, plants, and the overall surroundings are very well maintained and attractive. This hotel has great potential and could offer a wonderful holiday experience if more attention was given to hygiene, food safety, and overall standards. However, we want to give a very special thank you to one person who made our difficult holiday a little better – Mahmoud. He was the true highlight of our stay and the most positive memory from this trip. Mahmoud always welcomed us with a smile, showed genuine kindness, and did much more than was expected from him. His care, professionalism, and willingness to help were exceptional. He treated us with warmth and respect during a time when we really needed it. Thank you, Mahmoud, for your amazing attitude and for showing what true hospitality should look like. You are a wonderful example of how one person can make a difference. Unfortunately, because of the hygiene issues, food safety concerns, and the impact this had on our family’s health and holiday experience, we cannot recommend this hotel to other families until significant improvements are made.

So thought id share my views on this hotel. Ive just returned from a 14 night stay and regardless of this review i had an amazing time with my friends and family. Going to be a long post lol Pros Staff are amazing , pool guys, lifeguards ,barmen waiter staff and animation i couldnt fault they are all so lovely polite and attentive. What a tough job they all have and do it with a smile on their faces i will miss them all. Pool- fab the kids and adults had so much fun always seemed clean to me and always had plenty of beds, pool party a bonus kids loved it. Grounds- stunning very well kept/maintained loads if nice places to take some pictures Location- excellent its why we chose this hotel, out the back its endless shops bars restraunts etc Cons for me Reception staff - checked in and basically gave is 3 keys and told us to choose our rooms between us. Checking out my friend got pulled up for not returning her key even though she checked out at 5 oclock. Didnt believe her and after arguing back and forth (she left as bus picked her up) i had to deal with it and i said they had to go check cctv. 15 min later came back and said yes she did hand key back and a half hearted apology. Check out for me following week my son checked out his room at 12 paid his bar bill. When i checked out at 6 (paid to keep room on) they tried to charge bar bill to my room so my son had to show receipt of it paid then said it was another bill from week before again proved it was paid by having to show bank statement as receipt was binned by cleaner, then said we owed late check out fee again argued it was paid as that morning when he said we could keep room i had to pay there and then but said it wasnt, i didnt get a receipt so showed bank statement again. Through all this their attitude stinks. Rooms- we had 3 rooms booked 1 superior and 2 standard. They Said they upgraded the other 2 to superior , gave is 3 keys to choose our rooms, 2 rooms weren’t suitable for us so my friend swapped hers woth me as hers wasnt suitable for her and our other room was still too small for my daughter and kids as they all only slept 3 when it was booked for 4 people. Tbh i would have rather have had the standard as the superior although bedroom area was more spacious it lacked the dressing room and the bathroom was tiny. Cleaner- wouldn’t say she cleaned tbh made the bed. No floors got swept or washed the whole 2 weeks and bedding changed once Drinks- undrinkable except beer and soft drinks but we knew this so bought at duty free Food - basic and non existent for kids at dinner time. Lunch chips pasta and some days pizza but at night they had nothing for kids except pasta( if they like that) Restraunt- cattle market too many people not managed well at all not enough seats to handle guests had to open earlier to try accommodate guest but didn’t work. There is not structure and badly managed Bars- the entertainment bar is the only place at night for free drinks (unless you walk away up to inside reception) doesnt open till 9 so we normally were out of dinner for 8 and sat at seats for hour before you can get a drink Sports bar- payable Shisha bar-payable Upstairs lounge- payable White party- payable Bbq- payable Not sure what your paying for as you have allready payed for drinks, food and entertainment so to have to pay again is shocking Entertainment- ok but its on a weekly repeat so your second week is just the same so gets a bit boring Guest 70% were egyptian, even staff commented in this of how busy it was. (And no im not racist but with very few british etc it was hard for the kids to meet new friends etc) Sadly until things change i wouldnt go back here and will try new hotels and hopfully things will pick up as regardless of the faults o had a fab time. I was at this hotel last year and all year i have defended it. But now i see why and where the complaints come from as it has went downhill from when i was last there
