Falcon Hills

Hi we travelled from the UK and stayed at falcon hills hotel for a week, the check in was simple and the first half of week was good. Also the staff were kind to us and helpful for most of our stay, however… We started to notice bites on us after sleeping and realised they were bed bugs. However we went to ask to switch rooms after coming back from an excursion as I was in a lot of pain and didn’t feel comfortable sleeping another night in the bed to get more bites. The reception said one of the cleaners will come and check the room with us. However they just looked at the bed, didn’t really check properly and said they can only change the sheets and agreed to give us another room at 12:00 the next day. They changed the sheets however put the bug infested pillow and duvet on the other bed that my friend was sleeping in rather than somewhere else or the floor. I slept with no pillow and duvet on that night as they never changed them but still ended up with more bites after that night even on my face. The next morning the manager came to our room and said they will change everything in the room and inspect it and kept claiming that it was mosquito bites even after showing him my bites. They asked us to give them 20 minutes to change everything but didn’t mention once about switching our rooms like they stated the night before and when we asked they avoided the topic and just said that they changed and cleaned everything and there was no bed bugs even though there were clear signs. Even when we showed them our bites they wouldn’t admit it and said they done everything they could which they clearly didn’t. When we went to the hotel pharmacy to show them our bites they were agreeing with me saying that it is bed bugs however then asked us what hotel we were staying at and when we said Falcon Hills they said “Falcon no, falcon no” about having bed bugs even though the pharmacist agreed before they knew who we were staying with. Just to cover themselves. Disclaimer we did have mosquito spray on so it couldn’t have been mosquitoes and we have both travelled to many other countries with mosquitoes and never got bitten once (even without mosquito spray). Another thing is when laying on the sun beds there is a LOT of flies, like disgusting amount. We kept having to get them off us and I felt like i couldn’t lay still for more than 10 seconds without some fly crawling on me. There is also just a lot of flies everywhere within the facility, even in the restaurant dining area we’ve had flies land on our food, which puts you off eating more. If you are a picky/fussy eater I would not recommend the all inclusive food as it was very hard to find foods that we liked and they didn’t or rarely had normal pizza, french fries or chicken nuggets etc at food times. We ended up eating their fresh pancakes every morning and snack time (and we brought are own Nutella), which was the only nice thing that I ate the whole week. However if you aren’t a fussy eater you, will most likely enjoy the food! There is a menu available to look at if you scan a QR code however basically none of the food on it is served and there are hidden costs for things like fresh orange juice and cocktails. They were a small charge however still extra and after paying for an all inclusive you’d think it would be included. Overall, the staff are very friendly and kind but the problem with the bed bugs definitely ruined the end of our trip. Thank you to the hotel manager for trying to help us and checking in on us on our last day.

My experience here was fantastic I loved every second of it,the food was great, pool is lovely, the staff are amazing and kind ,the animation team Jessica Chloe and lunca are brilliant and did everything to make our stay better couldn't fault them I would definitely recommend booking this hotel
