Detailed review. Helpful information. Arrival was 10pm , and chevk.in was very straightforward. Samir in the red top took ourvluggage to our room ( we liked him ..funny and friendly. Helped us all through our holiday. Orgsnising taxis etc. With the lovely Philip, who tried to give us money back when we tipped him ☺️) The rooms are very clean, and were kept beautifully by hpusekeeping all 11 nights. Plenty of fresh towels and bottled water for the mini fridge. It wasnt cold tbf..but cooler than out. Air conditioning was spot on. There is a shortsge of hangers . We had 4 for both of us. The only issue was no double bed. Only singles which cannot be pushed together. My husbands hopes for romance were destroyed 😆. But being menopausal ..i was cool with seperate beds...like literally. Lol Very quiet and peaceful at night . 100% egyprian cotton sheets . Slept very well. The restaurants are next to each other. One looks like a boat and the glass blue one. Both serve tge same evening meal. Only the boat open for breakfast and lunch. Food for bfast was typical hotel style. With the extra egg station outside for omelettes and fried eggs. The queu for the outside station is slow...but its worth the wait because its all cooked to oreder. At night it becomes a bbq station for various show cooking events. When these are operating...it is AMAZING !!! 😍 piles and piles of shellfish, or chicken . But they are not every night. We were a bit dissapointed to only experience the prawn fest once, in an 11 night stay . The buffet queu is insanely irritating. I recommend going to dinner a little later. There are very very long queus for dinner. And some rude people will barge thier way infront of you. I found this to be the most annoying aspect. Food is very nice and cleanliness is excellent. Chefs are friendly and cheerful. Our waiter for the whole stay was Mohamed . A middle aged guy , with a lovely kind and gentle nature. Very good at his job ..we never had to ask for anything. He had our favourite drinks ready everyday. He was a highlight of our dining experience. All the staff are super friendly. We ate out in Dahab one evening ..which was above and beyond expectation ! We chose Ali babba restarant . It was very very good. Such a perfect dinner and all for 45 quid . We took our own bottle of wine, because none of the restaurants serve alcohol. Neither do the shops .. only the specialized 'drinky' outlets. Wine is about 300 egyptian pounds for a basic pinot gricio. Or a nice Malbec around a tenner in sterling. The seafront in dahab is a must see. Such diversity from dirty littke shanty shack coffee shops to beautiful waterside dining. Lovely crafts and art shops ..to hard sell tat ! Take care with the perfumed oil sellers. It is over priced for what it is..and they can be quite insistent. My partner made me howl each morning by saying " No more snake oil today !" 🤣 The shuttle from the hotel only operates at night into dahab . 5pm. 7pm and 9pm. But a taxi via the hotel is only around 3 to 4 quid . The beach is lovely. For views and the coral reef ...its priceless. We also recomnend the shisha bar at night . Its not for everyone.. a bit mucky and bedouin style ...but its a fun photo opportunity and very peaceful. The young guy is super helpful and advises on strength and flavours for you. It is only 300 egyptian pounds per pipe. The entertainment is pretty good really. A show is on each night at 9pm . The kids party seems to be popular from 8pm . But it can be loud . It doesnt effect the rooms, because the showbar is on the beach. The Trips are standard . Would recommend the submarine boat trip. Can be booked in reveption by Mohamed who is a nice guy. We also booked the 6 in 1 trip. This was quite good value at about 45 quid each ...but it was a whole afternoon with a shower break ..then into the night till late. Incl..quads, camel ride, bedouin dinner and show in the most anazing scenery . Soooo stunning. The fire and the stars were wonderful ..set to some crazy egyotian trance music. I LOVED IT. My partner found it uncomfprtable to eat sat on cushions on the floor . Lol ...but he does have long legs. Lol But be warned ! Egypt , outside of the hotel can be very unsanitary . .its not for the faint hearted, if you expect clean toilets with loo roll, soap and hot water .😆 The toilets mostly have built in beeday with a tap to wash bums and undercarriage. Its a game changer. But leaves you a bit damp if theres no tissue to dry. Lol. The hotel pool bar is run by Michael. He is a really really lovely sincere young man. Always smiling. We enjoyed quiet evenings there.. and a few times listened to a great Scottish family playing guitar and singing. Such lovely times. For the price point...i would definately recommend the hotel. The main requirements for us were cleanliness, scenery, food and friendliness...and i can say that happy life hit those points very well.
Do not go here. The hotel is terrible, and the staff are unhelpful and unprofessional. During room cleaning, my personal belongings were thrown away, and someone moved and touched my underwear, which was left in a different place than I had arranged. In addition, for some reason one of the staff members was staying in a room next to mine. He woke me up at 00:30 by making a lot of noise, talking to someone, and playing music. When I contacted the reception, no one came or addressed the issue. I had to call three times before anyone came to deal with the situation. The food is also very poor. I got food poisoning after eating rice and beef. The weather has also been unpleasant—windy and cold—even though it is the end of March, so I have not been able to enjoy the sea. None of my missing belongings were found or returned. There was also dog feces left in a public area, which was not cleaned for several hours. If I could give negative stars, I would. This vacation has been a nightmare. P.S. After I submitted my complaint to the tour operator, the hotel administrator ran up to me and told me to pack my things and leave the hotel, adding that he did not care where I would go. Shortly afterwards, another man approached and began aggressively waving his arms in front of me. I am currently preparing a formal complaint to the tour operator. If there is no response from the tour operator, I will escalate the matter by contacting the Ministry of Tourism of Egypt as well as the European Consumer Centre.
It is very good. Entertainment is amazing for all ages. There is so much to do here aswell. I woulddddd recommend A LOT!
Hi. We all went the first 2 weeks of April. Weather very hot(around 30,) but can be windy sometimes. Nicola's review is a good analysis of the hotel. The food in general is good but caters a lot for the eastern Europeans as there is a lot of them here. The mountain to the right is huge and awesome, but you lose the sun about at 4.45 because of it. The sunrise in the morning around 5.30 is something to see. There was no rain during our stay. The beach is very stoney and as you walk in to the sea, it can be slippy so hard foot ware is recommended. The staff are very good. However the management can be somewhat harsh, Half wasn't at all helpful when we on our last day was told that after we left our room at 12 all our inclusive rights had gone. We paid keep our room for £60, but that gave us till 6.30pm but our pick up time was 12pm so we couldn't have evening meal or any drinks after 6.30pm and this was relayed to the restaurant regardless of the fact that we lost a day due to a flight cancellation and that we went on a day trip to Cairo to see the pyramids(which was great,) Khalif was not bothered or interested in that...this is not mentioned anywhere or on our booking with Love holidays...so to that I have down graded my review score by 2. There is a child playroom but that's derelict and not in use, the kids playground looks like ( like much of the hotel) needs a massive overhaul and make up and very pre covid look! Our bedroom was very out dated and dirty with a lot of dust on the floors and units. Overhaul we would not come back because of our issue with the management but these are the things I'm pre warning you of..
Very good experience staff were friendly, help lots during our stay and were very good at organising everything. The room was very clean and organised and got felt welcome the second we stepped into the hotel
