Happy Life Village

Very friendly hotel. We went mid February when the hotel was quiet and had an excellent time.. Beautiful, happy place. Lovely beach and reef. Two warnings: it's not in Dahab itself but there is a free bus every evening. There is a pack of dogs loose in the grounds. They could frighten you if you are not keen on dogs. We had the most relaxing time..

We picked a really cheap week in the sun with flights combo, so our expectations were low, so we were really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel and its access to surrounding natural attractions including stunning snorkeling reefs, a deep ravine through the dusty dry and jagged mountains behind, and a neverending path along the shoreline. The hotel itself had uniformly friendly staff everywhere, clean rooms, a wide choice of what to eat (vegetarians not so much), and drink as part of the all inclusive package, loud music and entertainment if you wanted it, but places where you could get away from it by day and by night, and completely silent nights due to the resort's location. Why not five stars? The price point attracts a wide range of clientele from all over East & West Europe, from a wide socio-economic range, so that's quite a lot of cultural difference to squeeze into one melting pot, but the place was big enough to accommodate this diversity, I felt, and by the end of a week's stay there, you are on nodding terms with everyone who came when you did. Tips: - bring nibbles to go with your free drinks - tip 50/100 egyptian pounds to enjoy enhanced attention from beach and bar staff - don't fall for the rep's pressure selling of trips as soon as you arrive, ask others what they enjoyed best and copy them - we went on the Sinai Mountain overnight trek to see the dawn and the monastery - magic, but a quad bike safari which was a massive pressure sell for the photographer who we kept stopping us all to take influencer photographs which he then tried to sell for 3/4 of the cost of the safari, and took up half of the time - much better deals if you ask, and ask around.

Our vacation was great, we were here from the end of February when it was still very windy, but from March it was fine. The rooms were fine, the kitchen were nice, the service was pleasant and professional. The animators were all friendly and the zumba and evening disco were amazing with their professional dancing (Sandra, Omar). The noise around the hotel was sometimes during the day when people were going on quad bike trips. To sum up, it was our first holiday in Dahab and it was unforgettable experience, we will definitely come back.

Hotel Happy Life is an ideal place for my relaxation. It is a very peaceful location, with a wide and rich selection of food that is very tasty. What I liked the most, however, was the very friendly staff, and the animation program was amazing. The rooms were clean, with daily housekeeping. I also appreciate the beautiful, clean sea. I highly recommend diving and snorkeling, as there are stunning corals, fish, and wonderfully clear water.
