Stella Di Mare Beach Hotel & Spa

I can see why people like this hotel, it just didn’t hit the spot where we wanted it. We had booked this hotel for its location primarily, we wanted to be close to Naama Bay, which it is, and a well rated hotel from people who have stayed. I had messaged the hotel in the weeks leading up, requesting a family room with 3 separate beds, I had said that we were staying at the hotel to celebrate my son turning 18 whilst we were there. Confirmation came back to say that a kind size bed and spare bed was available only, but I had seen photos of 3 separate beds in a room and that I wanted 3 separate beds, again the hotel came back to say a king size bed and separate bed was only available. They confirmed the trip was for my son’s 18th and that they would do something special for him, a nice touch from the hotel. We arrived late, the reception confirmed our booking and the request for a king size bed and separate bed, at this point I said we had requested 3 separate beds but it wasn’t available, he said it was. We were originally in room 717, no idea what that would have been like or the view as we never saw it, he then moved us to 507 and a spare bed was brought while we unpacked. Baring in mind we were there to celebrate an 18th the view from the room was a tucked away slight view of the spa pool, we had a view of two broken exercise bikes in an alley from the gym, a stone roof littered in cigarette butts, empty water bottles and a pink top that had at some point blown off from a balcony previous to our stay and remained there for the whole of ours! I kept thinking this is not the memory I wanted for my son. We really disliked the breakfast, it was probably the worst part of the food, I was the only one who ended up making the effort and then it was pancakes everyday as everything else was just not great. Lunch and dinner was fine, the Ala Carte was a success and my son had lobster for the first time which he loved. The something special for my son’s 18th never materialised in any form, unless it was the two balloons left in our room! The day before we checked out we confirmed with reception what time checkout was, they told all 3 of us it was 5pm, we thought great as our flight did not leave until 9:30pm, we had a courtesy call from a woman to our room also confirming a 5pm checkout. On the day of departure we were enjoying the pool when my son wanted to go back to the room, this was around 1:45pm, the card did not work, he came back to find me and I went with him to use my card, this also did not work. We went to reception to see what was happening and this is when they said checkout was at 12pm!, we hadn’t even packed based on the 5pm checkout we were told, they then said we could have until 3pm to get out, my daughter was still sunbathing at the pool, queue massive scramble to get packed and out. We went back to reception at 3pm which is where our bracelets were cut off as all inclusive was now finished. Needless to say our whole stay and our treatment felt completely off at this point. The good points really are the waiters, they will do anything they can to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel shops are a complete rip off, don’t bother. We wanted 3 masks for snorkelling, 2700 in the shop, Naama bay you can pick the same up for 1000, suntan lotion is $20, again pick this up for $10. Would we come back, no, it’s not the memory I wanted and felt we were let down at several points that just impacted the whole trip

Great staff. Safe location. Very clean throughout the hotel. Scrumptious food at breakfast especially the desserts at main restaurant in evening. Beautiful landscaped clean garden area. Was upgraded to a deluxe sea view room and the views were spectacular. Thank you to the team for arranging this. Huge shout out to Waled Raouf at the pool , such a hardworking guy and always smiling. The girls in animation/ entertainment were brilliant. Especially la meliz ( from albania). Yoga and stretching classes were amazing. The DJ by the pool was excellent and kept the vibes going. Thank you for playing my playlist. Mosquitos are rife at the hotel which is the case at most hotels in Sharm. Unfortunately I fell ill due to bites so taking lots of repellant sprays is a must. Would be helpful if the hotel provided plug in repellants as standard. I would definitely stay at stella again.

The clinic doctor was great, he was very professional and he came to our room after we called to reception to assess our 2 year old son. He performed a through assessment and then decided to bring him into the clinic for further treatment. We were later transferred to hospital for a further x-ray which could not be completed at the clinic due to not having the facilities. But the dr was great and very helpful and professional and kept us reassured throughout.

We've just come back from a fabulous week here at this hotel. From the staff, to the food, gardens, facilities, grounds, drinks, rooms. Everything about this hotel was just super. We never came across anything negative here. Nothing at all Ahmed for keeping our room immaculate Waled for keeping us hydrated The lovely ladies from the entertainment team Milad from the Asian a la carte restaurant for looking after us so well Loads more staff just too many to remember or mention. The above named stuck out though for that extra they always put in Well done everyone

Our stay at Stella Di Mare exceeded all our expectations. This hotel truly deserves its five-star rating in every aspect. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and professionalism. The reception team was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Every interaction made us feel valued and well looked after. The service throughout the hotel was outstanding. The bar staff were incredibly polite, cheerful, and efficient, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere every day. The restaurant team also deserves special recognition. They worked tirelessly while remaining kind, welcoming, and attentive to every guest. It was clear that customer satisfaction is their priority, and their positive attitude made every meal even more enjoyable. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, very clean, and offers everything needed for a relaxing holiday. The overall organisation, attention to detail, and hospitality reflect a very high standard. If we could suggest only two small improvements, they would be: - adding soft mattresses or cushions to the sun loungers for extra comfort; - serving watermelon at lunch and dinner, especially during the hot season. These are only minor suggestions and in no way diminish our excellent experience. We had a wonderful holiday and would happily return.
