SUNRISE Diamond Beach Resort Grand Select

My stay at this resort at the end of May and beginning of June was unfortunately a mix of excellent hospitality and a very disappointing accommodation experience. First, I want to acknowledge the positives. The staff were consistently friendly, polite, and helpful throughout our stay. The food was very good, with a nice variety and quality, and the cleanliness of the resort was excellent. Housekeeping did a great job, and these aspects genuinely reflected the standards I expected. Unfortunately, the room allocation completely overshadowed the positive experience. I traveled with my 79-year-old mother and my 76-year-old aunt. Before arriving, I specifically requested rooms as close to the lobby as possible because of their age and limited mobility. Despite making this request several times, we were assigned rooms in Building 14, which was an extremely long walk from the main lobby. This made every trip to meals and resort facilities unnecessarily difficult for my elderly family members. Even more disappointing was the room itself. I paid an additional amount through my travel agent to upgrade to a Super Deluxe/Luxury Room, expecting a noticeably higher standard of accommodation. Instead, the room we received was basic, dated, and nowhere near what I would consider a premium room. Although it was clean, it lacked the quality, comfort, and appearance expected from an upgraded category. The curtains were old and worn, some drawers were broken, and the overall room felt tired and neglected. When I raised my concerns, I was told that Building 14 is already scheduled for renovation. That response left me even more disappointed. If management is aware that the building requires refurbishment, why are guests—especially those paying extra for upgraded rooms—being accommodated there? My frustration is not about expecting perfection. It is about paying extra for a premium room and receiving accommodation that clearly did not match the description or the additional amount paid. It is also about repeatedly requesting rooms suitable for elderly guests and having those requests ignored. This resort has wonderful staff, good food, and excellent cleanliness. However, management seriously needs to improve its room allocation process and ensure that guests who pay for upgraded accommodations actually receive the standard they have purchased. I sincerely hope the planned renovations are completed soon, because the resort has great potential. Until then, I cannot say that the accommodation reflected the quality or value that was promised.

I want to start with a big shout out to mohamed taher very helpful all of our stay. Our room was very nice cleaned professionally nothing was to much trouble. Big shout to mahmoud adly Michael ay adult pool moatz elgarf top barman food was very good. Looking forward to returning to this resort in the future.

We stayed at Sunrise Diamond Beach Grand Select in Sharm El Sheikh for 1 week all inclusive. Right here's for the story.. we booked Posh Club Villa with private pool and butler service.. now we booked this some months back via TUI and had a £500 voucher plus we got an amazing price of £3156 so only paid £2656! because normally this type of room is £5k and above in peak season. We arrived on Sunday morning at 00:45 having had a delay as we should of arrived at 22:25.. We checked in and was given the 'Posh Club' bands on and taken by golf buggy to our villa . (Now here's where it gets interesting) We got to our room and I immediately said where is the bath and the separate lounge etc? To which we were told these types of rooms don't have that? I then gets up the info and pictures on my phone and shows the guy.. who then phones reception to be then told we had been told the wrong information.. by this time it was after 1am so we decided we would sort it out in the morning.. Next morning after breakfast in the Posh Club restaurant on the beach front.. reception we went and spoke to the rep explained everything and he says leave it with me! ..So off we went back to our room but the room although it had a private pool it was shared with next door (which is a completely different story) as kids kept appearing throughout the day and playing in the pool making a racket and it turns out that these kids were friends of next door who were staying in normal type rooms they just let them play in the pool.. when we reported this.. management said there was nothing they could do and they were leaving the next day anyway.. really? and that was management!! A further 2 days pass and we didn't hear a thing from the TUI rep.. so we contact TUI UK direct via the app and explained what had gone on.. it took them another 36 hours to reply.. for them to tell us the hotel had given us the wrong room type and infact had put us in an Excutive Posh Club Suite which we already knew!! And the hotel was telling us otherwise ..TUI UK contracted the hotel for the hotel to then say the room types (villas) we had originally booked were all now fully booked for the duration of our stay and then went on to blame TUI for selling allocation that the hotel didn't have! Meanwhile (back at the ranch) lol. We just stayed in the room we were given as we had all the same butler service and separate dining Posh Club dining room (oh and that is another thing) you can only eat breakfast 7 till 12 and lunch 12 till 5 in Posh Club dining restaurant you have to have dinner in either the main dining restaurant or prebook one of a ala carte restaurants.. and we did also still get 24/7 room service etc.. but unfortunately the latter wasn't up to scratch! As the butler service was done via WhatsApp and you waited ages for service and on a few occasions the order was wrong.. also the main dining room was like a school canteen full of kids so unfortunately there was no hope of a peaceful dinner! Despite what went on we made the most of our stay and enjoyed every minute of our Egyptian adventure.. all the public areas in resort were immaculate and clean.. food was OK and the hotel reef was not the best.. its just a shame that one is blaming the other and although we got a bargain in price! We didn't actually get what we paid for.. needless to say we won't be returning here as there are far better resorts in Sharm El Sheikh that you don't have to pay extra for... .. .
