Akasha Beach Hotel & Spa

I really enjoyed the stay, everything was as expected. We had the pool room which we had a few issues with because of loveholidays not showing pictures properly so we upgraded to a better pool. Drinks and snacks were great with the all inclusive but snacks could only be found in the fridge in the rooftop pool. Other than that, drinks selection was fantastic and snacks were good. I also experienced the spa massage treatment with elena and dimitra who made it very relaxing and extremely comfortable. A fantastic stay.

We’ve just finished our stay here for our honeymoon, and it’s honestly hard to put into words how wonderful this place is. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely incredible, truly the best service we’ve ever experienced anywhere. Nothing was ever too much, and we felt so genuinely cared for throughout our stay. The food is completely unbelievable. Every single meal felt like a treat, and we found ourselves eating far more than we planned because everything was just so delicious. Not once did we have something we didn’t enjoy. The setting itself is magical. The views, the atmosphere, and especially the hot tub made it feel like such a special and memorable place to celebrate our honeymoon. If I had to mention any negatives, they would be small in comparison to the overall experience. The beds were a little disappointing for a honeymoon stay, they were single beds that couldn’t be pushed together, which wasn’t quite what we expected. We had also booked a sea view room, but being located at the bottom corner meant the view was quite limited, and there was a fair amount of foot traffic past our room which could be a bit noisy at times. Another small downside was the lack of privacy between the hot tub areas. There were gaps between the partitions, which meant people could see through, and at times smoke from neighbouring areas drifted into ours, which wasn’t very pleasant. That said, these points didn’t take away from what was otherwise an incredible stay. We left feeling so well looked after and with such special memories. We would absolutely recommend this place and would love to return.

Location is okay, without a rental car you would struggle to find anywhere to go local. Staff are like something out of a 3 star, not very accommodating and the men are quite rude. We had what the hotel offers as one of the best rooms, awful. On first inspection it’s very aesthetically pleasing, upon further inspection, we had to ring to get our room cleaned, for new towels and the room was never immaculate, the dresser was never wiped over, same with mirrors, there was a layer of thick dust over any glass item, not 5 star service at all ! The atmosphere around the main pool is like a retirement home, nothing to offer apart from the same 10 songs on repeat and fighting for the limited beds available. The noise level was ridiculous, 12/12:30am there would be music which is so loud, I’ve been to party hotels but this was just ridiculous. Next there was the 2-4am staff chats in the corridors which were like they were trying to shout out to each other 3 miles away not 3 metres apart. After falling back asleep at around 4:30 be prepared to wake up at 6am hearing trolleys being dragged across the floor, loud staff and lorry engines sounding like their exhaust has blown off. Wanting late check out ? Don’t give them a heads up they will just say return on the day and then say no and your without a shower 12 hours before your flight. The food is something out of prison, in fact I can guarantee I’d rather the kettle boiled homemade HMP special over this. Pasta ? Slime tastes of nothing. Pizza ? Soggy and tastes of nothing. Soup ? More like water and diluted squash. Drinks ? €5 for a small coke. Meat selection ? Grizzly and chewy. I feel like I’ve come on holiday for a summer camp not a relaxing 5 star getaway. Honest opinion I think this hotel taking away the first look aesthetic wise, is definitely a 3 star maximum. Will not be returning.
