Every hotel has its good & bad.. Annabelle could easily be a 5* all inclusive but I’m afraid that’s not the case today, it’s a very basic all inclusive at best & need some easy investment & management quick wins to bring it up to 5*. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, although tired in places, rooms are dated & basic but fine & very clean, staff are great, especially the bar staff, Kostas in the Taverna, Janis & Kostas Jnr at the evening bar & Valia at the beach bar, they’re all very friendly, work hard & nothings too much trouble. The entertainment team work hard with very little. The beach is beautiful but no one can control the sea & we’ve had a couple of days where swimming wasn’t permitted but that’s not the hotels fault, however the sun loungers on the beach are dated & uncomfortable, need to be changed, the same with the first pool but we didn’t spend anytime here. Would be great to also have some small tables around the pool what’s there is for the double beds which are taken by 7am each morning. Towels need to be refreshed & there needs to be more, there was trouble getting clean towels for the pool & some were very worn. Upon arrival you receive 1 bottle of water in your room, that’s it’s, unfortunately you don’t get that or anything else left in the room after arrival this would usually be standard. The all inclusive element is poor, basic drinks & limited cocktails, not what you expect in a 5 star hotel. For me the WiFi was fine however doesn’t extend to the second pool. The main issue for us is the food, we expect mass catering to be basic however we’ve struggled to find anything edible, let alone enjoyable & we’re not fussy eaters. Even down to the basics chips or pasta they’re either under cooked or oily, items so easily fixed, fortunately we booked on the understanding we would on occasion eat out & we have, just not as much as we expected being an all inclusive. There’s a couple of little gems close by, The Green Cafe Bar Restaurant only a couple of minutes walk, Salty a 15 minute walk & Captains Beach a 30 minute walk along the beach front. Also lots of great restaurants in Hisaronnos.
