Caramel - A Grecotel Resort to Live

My Mother and I have just come back from the most amazing week at the Caramel, nothing was too much trouble and anything we asked for was attended to straight away. The staff are very friendly Eleni went that extra mile and gave us a villa upgrade and looked after us, We had a beach villa of which we spent a lot of time it was beautiful and spacious with a choice of 2 balcony’s a seating area and sun beds we didn’t feel the need to venture far. The swimming pool is also really nice and relaxing it was very peaceful and not busy. The Buffet staff are friendly especially the lady in the black dress we were always greeted with a smile and a hug for mum. Thank you Caramel keep up the good work we will be back

this is, in my opinion, one of the best hotels in Crete. I've travelled to Crete since about 1994 on business and pleasure and I've stayed at hotels from Kissamos to Agios Nicholaos and the Grecotel Caramel is one of the best - if not the best- that I have stayed in. The layout provides a clam and serene environment. The pool is lovely, although I had the benefit of a private pool, so didn't use the main pool at all. The hotel and ground are well laid out and kept extremely clean and in excellent condition. The suite that I stayed in was amazing and, as I said, the private pool was a real treat. The staff - from technical maintenance, cleaning staff, front of house to catering and bar staff- were all brilliant and made for a great holiday. Every staff member I had contact with was super friendly and helpful and are a real credit to Grecotel. The food is nothing short of amazing. Every day the breakfast buffet was brilliant and the evening meals were outstanding. The restaurant and bars staff provide a first rate service and I honestly cannot think of any negatives or areas where I think they could improve. It is obvious that the hotel management set very high standards and the staff uphold those standards in every aspect.

Writing this on the last of 4 amazing days here. It’s about one hour from Chania ariport. Everything here was to our liking. This is a luxurious and also very familiy friendly and homely resort. Beautiful rooms and one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever been to. The pool is amazing. My ten year old loved the mini club, just a few other kids as low season but they became friends and had a great time. Food is delicious, including buffé. Rethymnon 15 min by taxi, beautiful old town however this hotel is so nice we wanted to spend time here! Beach just outside the hotel. Would love to come back soon. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a perfect time.

Our trip with my girlfriend was a quick thinking decision. In a search of summer days (It's late October) we hopefully chose Crete. A lot of options in this huge Greek island but we were specific looking for something small & quiet. During booking we had seconds thoughts due to higher room rates than hotels close by... However....Caramel proved to be the best choice!!!! Elegant room, amazing food, exceptional costumer service!! Thank you little gem

This is a great hotel; fantastic service, good food (both buffet, à la carte and lunches), spacious rooms, suites and villas and great atmosphere. Although the hotel has been fully booked when we have been visiting, it never feels crowded and the atmosphere is always elegant and calm. We love the boutique interior and the outside gardens providing green areas between suites/villas. I also must give credit to the staff who is incredibly service minded and kind. Highly recommend!
