Absolutely fantastic location, very very nice hotel, clean rooms with a fantastic cleaning staff, very good food for the tastes, friendly and amazing hospitality and team from the top to the bottom

My stay at the Marilena Hotel has just ended, and I must honestly say that it is one of the best hotels I have ever visited! It all starts with the fantastic location – there is a bus stop right next to the hotel, which makes traveling very easy. The hotel itself is simply clean, and the service is brilliant. You can see at every step that the people working here truly love what they do! A huge plus for me was the lack of loud animations and the well-selected, pleasant music playing by the pool. The pool itself also deserves a special mention – it is large, beautiful, and spacious. When it comes to the staff, I must especially highlight a girl named Atalanti, who worked at the pool bar. She is an incredibly professional, open, and always smiling person who radiates amazing energy! I would also like to take this opportunity to emphasize that the alcohol served at the hotel was of very good quality – there were no bad side effects the next day. The people working at the reception are wonderful too. When we reported that we had run out of body lotion, we received a new one in less than 3 minutes! 😃 Special applause goes to the managers for their approach to guests and the quality of the hotel cosmetics – they are from a really great brand, not just random products. Additionally, daily cleaning and towel replacement were another huge plus. As for the food, everyone will definitely find something for themselves – there is meat, fish, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. I particularly enjoyed the desserts! :) The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained. Palms, lemons, mint, and rosemary grow right under the windows, creating an amazing atmosphere. We spent our evenings on the veranda, admiring the view of the beautiful mountains. In a word – I highly recommend it!

Please be aware this hotel is only all inclusive in June July and August. The rest of the year you do not get free snacks or ice creams only a limited drinks menu. The food is average and always cold. They have warmers but they don't work. Also we had the experience of 14 year old greek school girls coming in the restaurant at breakfast in pajamas. Neither their teachers nor hotel staff sent them back to get dressed. Appalling. On a high note the pool area is stunning, the rooms are nice and public areas are spacious and very nice. The staff are incredibly lovely and friendly. If it weren't for Thomas Cook selling this to us as an all inclusive I would have given it 5 stars.
