Mary and her team at this hotel go above and beyond. Always there to help and all very attentive. The hotel is spotless and the room have everything that is required. Will definitely return again in the future. Thank you Mary and team ❤️

We stayed in La Stella for a full week and it was spectacular for what we wanted. Mainly, this is due to the staff who are friendly, helpful and honest. They make you feel welcome and are more than happy to converse/provide advice. Mary offered multiple times to order taxis, sort out hire cars etc. Professional and courteous with extensive knowledge of the island. Booking through La Stella also gives you access to the Atermeno Hotel (5 star) upstairs infinity pool amongst other facilities. The gym, spa, steam room and sauna do have additional costs if you want to use them. Breakfast was grand although don't expect a huge selection as it is a smaller, more personable hotel. The quality was great and still offered new breakfast options every day varying from more traditional plain options to many great local options. I would say this hotel is perfect for those who want to explore the island as it is more central between Chania and Heraklion. It is also around a 10-15 minute bus from Rethymno so it is not an overly touristy area (at least in my experience.) Overall, very positive experience and great way to enjoy our Cretan experience. We felt welcome from the very first minute. The staff was exceptionally friendly, professional, and always helpful. You immediately notice that service is a top priority here. Big thanks to Mary Sinolaki, who was always helping with Special Requests and questions, she made the stay even better! The room was modern, clean, and had a great balcony overlooking the surrounding countryside. The beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioning ran quietly and efficiently, perfect for warm summer nights. The cleaning ladies swept through every day, made the beds and gave fresh towels, for every person, every day. Shower gel, the hand cream and hand soap were included, little tip if these go empty, ask the cleaning ladies, they will fill everything directly. Breakfast was delicious every day: a selection of local products, including Greek yogurt, honey, fresh fruit, pastries, and savory dishes. It was a good amount, for a balanced breakfast. The pool area was well-maintained, with enough loungers and umbrellas, if the hotel wasn’t too full of people. If it was ever full, you have the opportunity to use the partner Hotel _Atermono Boutiqe Resort_, which is only 800 metres away. If you wanted to get to the ocean, it was a short 10 -minute walk through the beautiful town from the suburb of Rethymno. Once you got to the beach, there were enough loungers for everyone. Small tip, if your of to the beach, there are exclusive loungers from the partner hotel, which you can use for free, if you are staying at _LaStella Suites_. You just have to tell the cashier guy, that you are from _LaStella Suites_ and you can use them. What we particularly liked: The peace, the relaxed atmosphere and the hotel Cat, named lily. We would come back and highly recommend this hotel. A real recommendation for your stay in Crete!

A cozy and elegant small hotel with only suites. The beds were very comfortable, and extra blankets were available upon request. The room had everything we needed, including a large fridge and even a coffee maker! The air conditioning worked perfectly. The pool area is small but functional, and the breakfast was generous and varied throughout our stay. The hotel staff deserve a 10/10, incredibly friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was excellent. Shops and restaurants were within walking distance. Even though our balcony faced the highway, the traffic noise didn’t bother us at all. A wonderfully relaxing and peaceful place to stay. We truly enjoyed our time here.

Poor all round, deceptive with the online booking. What they advertise for guests to book is not what they give you. I booked a room with 2 king beds but was given one double bed and a sofa bed. Horrified because I should get what I paid. When I was at reception this also happened to a German couple. They seem to make a profit out of scamming tourists.
