Minos Ambassador Suite Hotel & Spa

This hotel is offering a small spa with great treatments. Stella and Aggeliri both give amazing massages we really would recommend. Both ladies have hands of gold :) Also their colleague Georgic is very kind and gives you the best advice about the treatments. The hotel self is near by the beach and the boulevard. You can walk to the nicest restaurants nearby, the city centre and enjoy the sunset from the boulevard. There are multiple pools at the hotel, very friendly staff and fine rooms. The beds are great, the rooms have a balcony, which is nice and it is spacious enough for a stay of multiple days.

While we really enjoyed our stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to return, I didn’t give 5 stars as there were both positives and negatives to the experience we had, so here goes: The Good - Friendly staff who recommended some great restaurants to us - Nice rooftop pool area with plenty of sunbeds and a lovely view - Tasty breakfast, great selection and good quality food - Clean and tidy everywhere - Nice touches like sandwiches and a bottle of wine in the room when we arrived - They arranged private taxi transfers for us to/from the airport which made it hassle free - A great location - 20 minute seafront stroll to the beautiful old town area and only 7 euros in a taxi if you don’t fancy walking it - A spacious and comfortable room that was cleaned every day The Bad - The indoor spa area was very cold to be in, both the pool and general area, to the point we were shivering and had to leave - You have to pay to use the sauna if you aren’t having a spa treatment, which I think isn’t very good when you’re a hotel guest and are freezing cold when using the indoor facilities - There is a drinks menu that shows the prices for Minos Ambassador and the cheaper prices for Minos hotel next door - if the prices are different fair enough but don’t advertise to your guests that they are paying more for the same drink than your sister hotel, it felt like we were being ripped off - Lack of hooks in the bedroom to hang wet towels and bathroom door handle came off in our hand when we arrived but was quickly fixed - Service for lunch and drinks was very slow, although I was given a free drink to apologise without even complaining which was a nice gesture All in all a very good experience and we had a fantastic holiday but some small improvements could have meant there were no negatives to report.

We stayed at the Minos Ambassador for a week. Had a wonderful time here- beautiful rooms and facilities. The staffmembers were very friendly and helpful, at the restaurant as well as the spa and reception desks. They always served you professionally and quickly. The spa treatments we booked were literally a treat. Professional and qualified employees who manage to make you feel comfortabel and relaxed. During our stay the weather was not always good (some days only 14°C outside), and at these days the temperature at the spa felt a bit chilly, both the room temp as well as the water. But I can imagine this will be experienced differently when temperatures outside are over 30°C! Location-wise the hotel is situated on a rather busy street, quite close to the beach and also at a 20-minute- walk to the old town. This means that you are in a lively area and you can hear traffic continuously, but you also have tons of nice bars and restaurants right around the corner! So this is simply a matter of what takes your fancy. All in all a definite recommandation if you are looking for a luxurious, high-quality stay in a vibrant area of Rethymnon!

Had a lovely relaxing 3 nights in the hotel. Our room access overlooked the spa area and I was tempted down for a facial treatment. The whole experience was very welcoming and Georgia did a fantastic job. If I was staying longer I would have returned. Hotel was well decorated, comfortable and quiet.

I had a wonderful full body massage by Stella. It was relaxing in a nice environment Although I had a discount, while being guest at Minos hotel next to ambassador, it still was expensive. Still it was worthwhile ending my vacation in a relaxed modus. Thank you Stella and Georgia!
