Nana Royal (ex. Aldemar Knossos Royal)

Nana golden sands was the perfect location for a family holiday with 2 children aged 9 and 11. We chose a prestige family room which was essentially two completely seperate rooms each with its own bathroom and fridge with an adjoining balcony and door between rooms. We went with the intention of relaxing and it did not disappoint. We spent all day every day at the pools taking a few hours out for the waterpark and the beach. The pools were mostly 1.4m or 1.45m at the deepest point so my children could stand on their tiptoes in the deepest area which was so important to me. They were able to go on all the slides and enjoyed some of the watersports at the beach. The evening entertainment was great - excellent for all ages. The staff were very attentive with staff members regularly going around with melon water and ice creams at the pool beach and waterpark. Each pool had a bar which served a wide variety of snacks which differed at each location. The food was of excellent quality the only thing that let it down slightly for me was a lack of seafood or steaks and that is only because I am comparing it to the buffets on cruise ships which would have had more choice. The à la cart restaurants we went to included poisidon umi and thallassa which were all excellent and did have seafood as standard. Drinks were generous and tasty but daiquiris weren’t frozen which would be my preference but otherwise great!! All in all this was a fantastic break. I have seen some reviews express concern around the sunbed situation but whilst there were a lot of towels out very early at the main pool we only had a couple of days were we struggled to get enough beds together so we made do with 2 or 3 until people left. We did a private transfer which was so straightforward. On the Saturday night we walked into the nearest town to a beach bar )scorpion I believe) and back and there were lots of shops for the kids. The onsite market is excellent it’s on the pricier side but standard for a hotel shop. If you are thinking of booking you won’t regret it!!

The scenery was beautiful. My room was nice and cool. Everything was inclusive, so there was very good value.

What a wonderful restaurant, prompt service, always friendly and welcoming. Great food for breakfast and evening. Highly recommend.

Fabulous holiday, staff are so accommodating. Something for everyone to do! Our son had dairy allergy and each chef was so helpful to ensure his requirements were met. Some staff went above and beyond. Our holiday was brilliant.
