Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort

Very disappointing for a supposed five-star luxury resort. There are far better options in Halkidiki, particularly for families. Unfortunately, our stay at Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort fell well below the standard we would expect given its five-star positioning and premium price. Our biggest disappointment was the Kids Club, which was one of the primary reasons we chose Miraggio. We were very surprised to discover that it costs €20 per day, per child, something that was not clearly advertised or communicated to us when booking. To their credit, Guest Relations eventually waived the fee, but only after several hours of unnecessary discussions and negotiation during what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. After all of that, our children attended for approximately one hour, asked to leave and refused to return. The Kids Club itself was nowhere near the standard we have experienced at other five-star family resorts. The 10am–6pm opening hours, additional charge, limited activities and lack of active engagement with the children were disappointing. When our children wanted to do artwork, we were told “we don't have any left” regarding basic art supplies and “the hotel manages this, not us.” For a luxury family resort, running out of basic children's activity supplies is difficult to understand. Internal responsibility between the hotel and Kids Club should never become the guest's problem. Unfortunately, the issues extended beyond the Kids Club. Service throughout the resort was inconsistent across restaurants, bars, housekeeping and guest services. Staff frequently seemed unsure of processes and we regularly had to follow up on basic requests. Housekeeping frequently failed to replenish coffee pods and toiletries, sometimes taking hours after we requested them. On several occasions our rooms were not properly vacuumed or mopped, and we had to remind staff twice about turndown service despite it being included. Dining was similarly inconsistent, with incorrect orders, missing items and breakfast coffee sometimes taking around 20 minutes due to issues with the coffee machine. The spa and thermal facilities were another major disappointment. Sauna facilities were unavailable or not functioning correctly, while approximately half of the outdoor spa equipment we attempted to use had buttons or controls that simply didn't work. Considering the thermal spa is a major feature of the resort, this was particularly disappointing. We also experienced rude and abrupt interactions with bell staff, including towards my wife when we first arrived, which created a poor first impression. We understand August is an extremely busy period in Greece, but peak season occurs every year. A five-star resort charging peak-season prices should have sufficient trained staff and resources to maintain the level of service guests are paying for. Individually, some of these issues may appear minor, but collectively they resulted in an experience that simply did not feel five-star. The most telling point was that we became so disappointed that we chose to spend our final day away from the resort, despite specifically paying for a resort holiday where we expected to enjoy the property and its facilities. Miraggio is in a beautiful location and has considerable potential, but based on our experience, the service, housekeeping, Kids Club and maintenance of facilities were nowhere near the standard suggested by its five-star rating and price. We would not return and would strongly recommend families considering Miraggio look at other luxury resorts in Halkidiki.

The staff at the Pool Bar is amazing: very friendly, extremely good and personalised service and precise advice for choosing food and drinks. Alexandros and his team are great! It is always a pleasure to come back! The hotel, spa and pool are very beautiful, clean and luxury.

Wonderful hotel for families with kids. Highly recommend it, especially the Club rooms. The variety of food and the service could benefit from some improvement but nothing that would affect your stay overall! Girls at the kids club were so amazing! Paraskevi, one of them, is also a talanted face-painter and our daughter couldn’t get enough of it. The landscape around is breathtaking and there is a little chapel at the hilltop where you can see the whole resort from, it was indescribably beautiful 🥰

I liked very much the service in the beach Christina has provided to us. She has provided brilliant service and was always ready to help. She was very fast at providing any assistance and orders we had. I recommend to promote Christina to higher position since she is very customer oriented and knowledgable
