Aegean Bay

Just back from a 7 night stay in beautiful Kos, at the Aegean Bay and would recommend. The hotel is in a great location, not too far from the airport, 5 mins walk down to the beach. We stayed in block C and had a pool view which I would recommend. The hotel is relatively small compared to the size of the grounds which was nice as it meant walking over to the restaurant/ entertainment area. The hotel looks modern and we loved the minimalistic Scandi style. All areas were really clean and the team work hard to keep everything up to scratch. We were slightly worried about the hotel only having 1 restaurant as usually when we visit all inclusive there are a few to choose from. However, we weren't disappointed. The restaurant offers the normal salad, veg/pasta/meat/pizza etc options that you would normally find at an All Inclusive buffet but they also have different theme cuisine each evening (Mexican, Italian, Greek, Indian, Chinese) - the change in music to meet the theme was also a nice touch. We were a group of 6 but George, the Manager, was excellent at every single meal time, in arranging a table for us all to sit together - He remembered from the very first day we arrived and went in for lunch which made the experience so much easier. They had a fairly limited selection of cocktails to start with but by the end of our stay had increased the offering. It wasn't an issue as they were also happy to make drinks using a spirit and a mixer if that's what you preferred. It would be great if they could use reusable plastic cups for by the pool rather than the paper ones though, they are nicer to drink from and I am sure more environmentally friendly reusing and washing rather than the thousands of paper cups being thrown away, a personal preference though and not essential. The entertainment team were great, I would say it is more low key than lots of hotels but this really suited us. There was plenty to do throughout the day if you did want to join in and the three of them were great (friendly but not pushy). There is a kids club but we didn't need this so cant comment. The evening entertainment was ok but nothing special. We were surprised to be charged 5e pp to play bingo as we've never had that before, especially as it was just one short game and one winner. Plenty of other areas in the main reception bar to sit in the evenings though if you want to just have a cocktail and chat or play cards. A few tips: Make sure you take cash for the hotel charge (10e per night per room) as they don't accept this payment via card. Take your own swim towels as these aren't included. Take a walk to the beach for sunset - It is stunning! If you want to spend the day at the beach, walk a little further along and the sunbeds are free, they just ask that you buy a drink (waiter service from your sunbed and not pricey). There are regular buses (bus stop located just a few mins walk from the hotel) in to Kos town which only cost 2.50e pp (cash only).

Stayed for week...the hotel is good if you get it reasonably priced i wouldn't pay silly money stay here...good points are..2 good pools 1 near dining hall quieter than reception area although not much..grounds well maintained you can also see were modernising work is going on..the air-conditioning in room blows ice cold and works perfectly..entertainment is ok ..now drinks aren't the best quality and the food is very poor... I won't go into detail but lots of people ate out we saw them and spoke to them...if the food standards were upped and drinks better this hotel would be perfect...70 euros tax to be paid cash only..🤔🤔..on arrival....I hope Alberto doesn't respond below 👇 with a why you not mentioning this to us on your holidays...because in all fairness you don't have a magic wand and nothing would be solved overnight....and kos airport departures are shocking...that's my opinions...now you decide....🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Lovely hotel, staff very welcoming and keen to help in anyway they can. Lovely spacious room in block B overlooking the pool where activities take place during the day nice pool and comfy sun beds and day beds. I preferred the other pool near the restaurant as quieter but nice to have a choice. Food in the restaurant was very good although only buffet selection available every day the salad selection was delicious and the food freshly cooked on the grill was delicious with fresh pizzas every day and a meat different every day depending on the restaurant theme. Staff in the restaurant are very helpful and working hard to keep the tables cleared and reset. Management is also very visible around the hotel in bars and restaurants chatting to guests and checking everything is all good. Hotel location is good with local bus stop for buses into Kos town just outside and short walk 800m to beach where most bars have lovely sun beds free if you buy your drinks from them. Biggies have a minimum spend 12euros . My only negative and I have come to expect it from all inclusive hotels is the drinks are not to my taste. I don’t like pump mixers and whilst they do have premium spirits available at an extra cost these prices are not advertised and they would still have pump mixers. Tip buy own from supermarkets and don’t be put off as otherwise a great hotel.

On first impressions, we were very impressed with the hotel. Pros:The hotel and especially the grounds are lovely with all the beautiful flowers and trees in bloom. Our ground floor room overlooking the main pool had everything we needed,and the beach is only a short 10 minute walk away and the transfer is a comfortable 25-30 minutes. The entertainment staff are really lovely and make you feel included. Jethro in particular, is very talented as proved at the variety show and could we feel be a professional singer, dancer or dj. Cons: We have at least 2 all inclusive holidays a year usually to Greece,Turkey and the Canary Islands and can honestly say this is the worse food and drink we have had for a long time. We are use to food being lukewarm but the standard is very poor and everything seems to be done on the cheap for example show cooking consisting of liver, lots of chicken wings and even pasta!! The bar staff while lovely and very polite have obviously had very little training to the extent that the cocktails are undrinkable. Grenadine is a colourant not a main ingredient and totally spoilt every drink when an inch is added. The tonic made the gin undrinkable and I can usually drink anything! The cleaning left a lot to be desired. 3 out of the 6 full days we spent there we had to go to reception to ask for our room to be cleaned and the answer we received was that they work until 6 so would just have to wait. Not ideal when the restaurant opens at 7. Then it was just a case of emptying the bins and changing the towels but only then if they had been left on the floor which we didn't realise. We never saw the balconies being swept or mopped in any rooms the whole time. It's such a shame as we wanted to love this hotel but unfortunately didn't. It could be so much better if money was spent on improving the food and drink. It seems the hotel is run on a shoestring.

Me and my boyfriend booked this hotel last minute on a deal price, Reading the reviews I was really happy and excited to come for our first holiday together and first visit to Greece and wow, I was not disappointed! A few days before our flight out I recieved an email from TUI to say that there was building works nearby. We decided to stick with the hotel and were so happy we did. The hotel was beautiful and did not hear the building works once. The staff at the hotel could not do enough for you, they were all brilliant and a credit to the service provided. The food was brilliant, especially the gyros. Lots of food variety and always tasty. I am sometimes a picky eater on holiday but couldn't fault the food here once. The drink were okay, variety of soft drinks etc. Limited variety on sprits, vodka, gin, whiskey, schanpps. Not much variety on the cocktails but a few were nice. Always plenty of sunbeds and great pool. we always stayed around the quiet pool. the nearby beach was gorgeous. The most amazing holiday, I recommend a trip to paradise beach
