Sovereign Beach Hotel, Kardamena (Kos) We had an incredible stay at the Sovereign Beach Hotel and would highly recommend it. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely fantastic throughout our stay, with plenty of variety and consistently high quality. There was always something to look forward to at mealtimes. The snack bar was a real highlight too — serving delicious gyros, souvlaki, and a selection of beautiful desserts that were hard to resist! The beachfront location is stunning, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the views. Being right by the sea really added something special to the whole experience. Overall, we had an amazing time and wouldn’t hesitate to return

Pros Great location with beach short walk , great little walk along beach to lovely little town Kardamena . Great bars restaurants gift shops . Bar taverna food hot and freshly cooked . Pool bar great drinks , good animation team. Pool was nice and clean . Cons Restaurant food had a good choice , but food was never hot was only ever Luke warm . Most staff were polite there was two reception staff who were extremely rude . The smell of sewage is very bad all round hotel and as walk back from the town you can smell the hotel !!! Very off putting We had raw sewage in our room could of been dealt with much better eventually sent an apology fruit plate from breakfast and a bottle of wine when your staying in a all inclusive these were both available from restaurant so hardly and apology . Only staff member that apologised was the cleaner . Would definitely not return to this hotel due to our experience.

Stayed here for 10 nights in bungalow 77 with a shared swimming pool. The hotel is around a 20 minute walk to the main resort of Kardanena where you will find restaurants, bars, shops and beautiful promenade. The hotel is spread over a medium size area with the main building, swim up apartments, bungalows and family bungalows in different areas. The hotel is extremely clean everywhere and has a large amphitheatre for entertainment, small shop, spa, outside snack bar and pool bar. The private beach is only a 5 minute walk from anypart of the hotel, the separate snack bar is between the hotel and beach. The food choice and quality was the best I have ever had on any holiday, everything you could think of was on offer including Qyail, rabbit, octopus, several different fish and meats every evening. Fresh pizza made on site, meat and fish cooked in front of you absolutely loved it. Wine, lager and soft drinks available on tap during all meal services but coffee machine only open at breakfast. All other times need to go to the main bar or pool bar. Snacks were OK but not much on offer at the pool bar more available at the separate taverna. Our bungalow was great, nice and spacious but no separate bedroom, good sized bathroom with adequate showe. Beds comfortable and good size, ample hangers, wardrobe space[no drawers] lots if different lighting, kettle and mini fridge. Good sized, quite private terrace with very small table, chairs, 2 sunbeds and fixed in place parasol. Cleaners came everyday and were very good, all the staff were very friendly throughout the hotel . There is a 15 euro per night tourist tax paid on arrival as classed as a 5 star hotel Greek rating. We were only 2 weeks away from the hotel closing for the season and hardly any evening entertainment but apart from that really could not fault this hotel. Taxi to town is booked at reception and cist 6 euros each way bur the walk is nice and safe on a straight road at the back of the hotel along the coast so the views are amazing.

We stayed at the Sovereign Beach Hotel 19th - 26th October 2025 and had a fabulous holiday. The staff are wonderful, helpful and really want you to have a good time so go out of their way to ensure this happens. There is a great selection of food, including meats, fish, pasta and fresh salad as well as the delicious desserts and fresh fruit. The drinks are generous too. Our accommodation was great, we had a swim up bungalow, we had a couple of problems with it on arrival but all dealt with professionally, promptly and with no issues. We were given a bottle of wine & some fruit to apologise for the inconvenience. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff all seem to enjoy their jobs. The reception staff were particularly helpful and I can't thank them enough for their help as I was poorly whilst there and needed to see a Dr. We enjoyed our holiday at this hotel so much we are planning to return next year. It's not a massive 'chain' hotel but family owned and it certainly made a massive difference. Thank you to each and every staff member for making our holiday a memorable one...you all make the hotel what it is 😊

I am more than disappointed. I've read a lot of nice reviews and decided to visit this hotel with my family. Unfortunately, we decided to go there at the end of the season (18-25.10). Due to the end of the season almost all things were limited - starting with food and ending with events that were planned at the hotel. Food was good but only every 2nd day when a lady was cooking - other days, there was a guy and food was "eatable" but this is not what I expected from 5 star hotel. Snack bars - the one by the pool should offer 1st snack bar. However, "snack bar" included ONLY sweet rolls taken from the breakfast. On the last day, they served crepes but only for few hours. The 2nd snack bar "taverna" - souvlaki and fries were really good, but besides that, there were only burgers and hot dog (a dry roll with a sasage). Nothing more. During our stay, it was visible that the crew has already started to clean up all the things - they hid almost all "umbrellas" and deck chairs from the beach and also from the pool. They were doing it during the day when me, my family and other guests were relaxing. The yoga session and trainign session in water took place only during the first 2 days of our stay which was also disappointing cause it was very good. We paid exactly the same amount of money as people who were there before us - we have not received any discount for booking the hotel at the end of the seaon. Also, there was no information about limitations due to the time of the year. We feel that we were treated worse than people who visited this hotel in the "higer season" - it was visible the crew was ounting days to close the hotel. I totally understand they were tired after long season but that was completely unprofessional. The one and only highlight of our stay were Mel and Basia - absolutely amazing people! But anyway, definitely we will not come back.
