Sovereign Beach

We visited as a family of 4 (3 adults and 1 child) for 9 nights. First time to Kos and will not be the last. Flew with jet 2 and it was so smooth from leaving Stansted to arriving at hotel and return to uk too. When we arrived at hotel they welcomed us and the staff at reception were always so friendly and no problem is too much. We discussed a couple of concerns I had about my autistic daughter and they reassured me straight away. We had room 210 (which is 2nd floor, 1st floor being reception) room was a little on the small side but I’m not there to stay in the room, but the balcony was huge and the view was amazing!! Could have done with a bit more storage space but we managed. Air con was an issue was not as strong as we have previously experienced alternative hotels, however, we had it checked twice as once it leaked and it was sorted asap! We was given a fan which helped our autistic daughter, so thank you! Like I said nothing was too much for them and they always tried to solve the issue asap! Mini fridge in room handy to keep bottles of water in there, we bought small ones from the shop for 50c - good price! Lift up to our room as in main building which helped my daughter and my mum with walking difficulties. Food: now there is a lot of choice, it did become repetitive but thats all inclusive for you! There is fresh pasta and pizza every lunch and dinner which was a nice touch also a hot plate cooking fresh food all the time. The food was hot, fresh and a wide selection. Kids buffet seemed to be only 2 items and this could be improved. My autistic daughter struggled with the food but we knew this would be an issue as she eats the same food daily and can tell if it tastes different, BUT she did have plain pasta, breads and chips. We spoke to the restaurant manager and she cannot do enough for you, we shared what her favourite foods were ie English sausage and hummus and on some occasions it was provided. This is amazing that she was supported. I am sure if she really didn’t have anything to eat one meal then something would be done about it but she managed. The staff in the restaurant were absolutely amazing and so friendly. Drinks were good, was Pepsi, Pepsi max lemon etc, beer and wine on tap! the bar in the reception is only open in evening, however could do with a bar open during the day too. The pool is a little cold when get in but it’s refreshing! Good kids pool and large pool with a shallow end going towards deep end. Toilets a little awkward to get down at the pool and can get slippy this could be changed to easily accessible but doesn’t ruin the holiday. Pool bar, lovely, fresh drinks. Cocktails amazing! Ice creams available to help yourself and fresh crepes made which were lovely!! We visited the beach snack bar once, fresh fruit which was lovely, gyros very yummy! Now the entertainment team they work so bloody hard!! ENZO, your presence, your personality and fun beams across the hotel and my daughter absolutely loved you! The day entertainment is good especially the aqua Zumba and even better when ENZO is in the water lol. The evening entertainment is good they work hard and have some outside companies in too. Could change it up A bit as we saw a couple of things twice but again not a big issue. We got the mini bus into town and back on Tuesday was lovely and very convenient. We didn’t walk due to mobility issues. We also prebooked a cab to go into town for a meal one night, it was easy and cost 12 euros including the booking fee. Got the mini bus back at 11pm after seeing the cab queue in town some people waiting over hour, so you’re better waiting for the mini bus at 11pm. In town we when to Avil restaurant and highly recommend! We got engaged this night and it was beautiful! The hotel shop was is reasonably priced. Lovely staff in there too. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel from The reception to the restaurant, bars and entertainment team, you all work so hard and always with a smile on your face. Thank you, we are already considering returning next year as my daughter was so settled.

We had an amazing time at hotel with my family. Thank you Enzo and his team for the amazing job. I hope we come back soon. Amazing food, perfect garden and clean.

This was a last minute holiday booking for us and it did not disappoint. We arrived early hours in the morning - where we greeted by a very friendly receptionist who gave us complimentary drinks due to the bar being closed and told us all the information we needed to know. Our room was very clean with a beautiful jacuzzi in the garden. The walk in showers are amazing but could do with being more powerful but it still done its job. The sun beds - always sun beds available and no one is fighting over them early morning which is an absolute bonus. Breakfast had lots of options and everything was cooked fresh and always full. The bar never had queues which is another bonus! We were allowed drinks whenever we wanted and the drinks were fantastic. No restrictions on cocktails which is another bonus and ice cream whenever you wanted during the day. The crepes were amazing! Pool opening times are 10am and closing times were 6pm. It didn’t affect us but we do like to stay a little longer then 6pm but felt like we couldn’t due to the staff tidying the pool up. The beach is amazing! Highly recommend bringing a snorkel as the fish you see are phenomenal - best time to snorkel is in the morning. We went down around 8am the morning we were leaving and we saw absolutely thousands. Definitely bring sea shoes as the rocks are hard work when bare foot. We hired a buggy for half a day - we chat GPT what to do in a buggy and visited some beautiful places which was amazing! Highly recommend this. We did want to hire a jet ski but the women wasn’t in the hut on a Sunday. The local town kardamena is absolute beautiful - giving off mamma Mia vibes with its beautiful bars - beautiful side street shops and the locals are so friendly. Staff at the hotel are amazing - everyone speaks very good English and cannot do enough for you. The food - gyros are 5 * including the snack bar burgers which are huge!!! But everything is quality. The reception area could do with a little upgrading but doesn’t ruin the feel of the amazing vibe of this hotel. Entertainment was very friendly - great English and got everyone up to do water aerobics - beer pong and the shows were fantastic! I loved sitting in the Greek theatre as you get the vibe for Greece. Everyday our rooms were cleaned to perfection and the cleaning staff are so friendly and always made us feel welcome. The shop on site is a little expensive but very friendly again inside. We absolutely loved our weekend away here as a couple. I did think due to being a family hotel we may not have enjoyed it but there was a great mixture of couples and families. I don’t think a weekend was enough in my opinion so I would definitely look at staying longer next time as we didn’t get to do all we wanted to do in such a short time. We will be back as this hotel is amazing ❤️

Well what can I say! Just back from a fabulous week at Sovereign beach. The hotel is great , clean and well equipped rooms. We had a family room which was a little on the small side but was clean and recently refurbed. People who are moaning this is not a 5* have to remember that a 5* abroad is not going to be like the Ritz! The hotel is large with plenty of space especially around the pool which is a must for us. Plenty of sun beds no need to be at 6am putting towels out. Also you are not all packed in around the pool l. Entertainment team are fanatics and entertained everyone. Food is very good with a good variety every night. The Taverna Gyros is a must! Drinks are good quality local Zythos Vap is a decker beer and also branded Pepsi available. Sam in the pool bar is great and the whole catering team work especially hard Walk down to Kardemena town it’s lovely and a nice walk along the beachfront. Loved Kos, loved the hotel already talking about next year!

Our stay at your hotel exceeded all our expectations! Every member of the staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a genuine smile. The food was absolutely delicious, with excellent quality, and what impressed us the most was that it was always served at the perfect temperature—something we rarely experience at other hotels. Our room was spotless, and the private pool made our stay even more relaxing, enjoyable, and truly unforgettable. We couldn't have been happier with our experience and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect holiday. We will definitely be back!
