Alex Beach

Amazing stay at the Alex Beach. Room was perfect, cleaners always come by to tidy up. Facilities were wonderful, we sat poolside everyday, had no troubles finding seats, we used basketball court with balls provided by the hotel. Quick access to the beach, everything is just in range. All inclusive buffet was diverse and plentiful, they were always quick to refill. We were greeted by Andreas everyday, had lovely chats, exceptional service and tips for things to do around the island. Staff were always on hand, thank you to Andreas to go the extra mile with us. Exceptional man 10/10

Ultimately we had a good stay here. Here are the positives: +Lovely beach right by the hotel, with plenty of loungers, free soft drinks and water sport facilities. + Lots of choice of food at all meals. + Easy location to get to from airport, quick drive. And then a nice costal drive along the Rhodes sea front in the other direction. Great spots to see the sun set. +Rooms are clean and comfortable. We got upgraded to a Beach Bungalow which was lovely. But there are some things potential guests should be aware of: -Family hotel. Lots of kids around. All were well behaved and gave us no trouble. -Mostly German guest. As solitary Brits we actually really liked this (Germans are probably better behaved than Brits abroad) but if you’re an English speaker who’s looking to socialise bear in mind. -Being close to the airport the planes fly close overhead. I didn’t mind too much, was quite fun plane spotting but does slightly disrupt the peace. -Food isn’t great quality, plenty of choice and quantity but nothing amazing.

I will say that the hotel does not live up to the descriptions 4 stars, it´s more like 3 stars Hotel. The outside aria does not present a hotel, it´s more like a camping space. There is an incredible lot of noise from all the cicadas and all the airplanes, on top of that are people shouting to be heard. Pools are dirty, some of them are murky with paint residue from the pool floating on the bottom with other rubbish. Breakfast and dinner are adequate. Service in the restaurant is very good. Lunch is terrible, food is laid out by the pool, people stand on top of each other to get something. Do not count on the food between meals, very little is served, and it is gone quickly. I will never go there again; I rather stay home. we ordered a room with 3 beds. an extra fold-out bed was put in. consisting only of slats, and the two top mattress, from the otter two beds. this resulted in 1 bed where slats could be felt and 2 extremely hard beds. I had back and shoulder pain all week. it is very noisy in the evening, because of their entertainment and airplanes. there is also a lot of noise early in the morning, people are shouting in the corridors and cleaning will want you up so they can clean the room. we were all exhausted and tired, during this stay, very stressful. The last night vi catches a cockroach in the room.

what a terrible place, a very stressful stay, far too much noise and far from the four stars it is rated for. Our experience of our stay at Alex Beach Hotel & Bungalows was not good. The place itself is probably closer to 2 or 3 stars, an extra bed in a double room is a dream bed with two top mattresses, there is a noice hell from cicadas and constant overflights, the pool is dirty and a lot of chemicals are used, the service is so-so, breakfast and dinner buffet are mediocre, lunch is downright stressful, poor and extremely low standard, and snacks are limited, and also a sloppy deal. Also on coffee, milk (UHT), soft drinks and more, savings are made and the cheapest solutions are used. The gym is not worth visiting, there is 1 machine that does not work very well. Only two people from the hotel staff gave us a four star service; Michalis and Adrianna in the resturant who was always smiling and helpfull - everyday with no exception. We booked this on Hotels.com where it has four stars. I would argue that this is false marketing, and maybe hotels.com should send an agent and then I think it will go down to 2 stars, max 3. I feel cheated, both for the money I have paid and for the time I spent have wasted at this place. At the same time, Hotels.com should state that this hotel is almost only for German guests, who may be used to and satisfied with camping conditions. If you want peace and quiet, a relaxed holiday, de-stress completely, and not least get something good to eat and drink, definitely don't choose Alex Beach Hotel & Bungalows, it's more of a holiday you just want to go home from!

There is no way this is a 4 star Hotel … Rooms are awfull beds are uncomftable all single beds … food is not great its eadable but not tasty and not authentic greek food ! Fruits are a complete diabolical joke ! Offering famalies single piece of orange ! Apple ! And pears if your lucky and even banana’s was cut into 3 pieces ! NO WATERMELON ! NO PEACHES ! NO STRAWBERRYS 🤦‍♂️ to be in greece a mediteranian hotel with no decent fruits . And the drinks they offer taste like sewage 🥹 its not even a joke . Staff are pleasent . Pools are decent ‘ weather is nice apart from that i honestly do not recomend any famalies to book here as its disheartened me and my family only thing keeping me going is my kids enjoying the pool and weather ! So for the money i highly recomend turkey !
