The good points about this trip were numerous it wasn't all bad by any means. But the bad things were enough to put me off coming again. The hotel was lovely. It was really clean. Great hot powerful showers. Huge bed. Plenty of storage and hangers. The buffet had loads of choice for all meals and plenty of seating inside and out and staff were pleasant and helpful. The a la carte restaurant was nice. But not really a la carte in the literal translation! It was a set menu apart from the main course which you had a choice but it was nice food anyway. The downsides however would stop me from returning.......... and it was the drinks. They were either watered down or poor quality or both. I dont drink a lot but i do like a nice cocktail of two before dinner and really look forward to this on a holiday. We had paid for what i thought was a 5* all inclusive hotel and the drinks just didn't meet this standard. The soft drinks were just as bad. The staff behind the bars would say it was lemon Fanta or orange Fanta but it wasn't. Juice in any cocktails tasted weird like squash rather than juice. The spirits were either watered down or not made in the right quantities. The first drink I ordered from the beach bar was a gin Collins and just tasted like soda water. I actually threw it away. I hoped it was just a one off but things did not improve at the other bars. The drinks were weak. Tasted like water and after observing were often missing ingredients listed on their menus. There was one member of staff who was unbelievable rude at the quiet pool bar. After having such bad drinks I watched her make a cocktail with missing ingredients. The first was a Cuba libre off the AI menu. When I asked for lime (should be line juice but a slice would have been fine!) She just bunged a bit of lemon in and shrugged and said she didn't have any. Very grumpy. I then ordered another drink and watched it being made again and she had forgotten one of the ingredients (lemon juice) I politely pointed this out and asked if she could possible put some in and make as per their menu and she started arguing about what should be in the drink. I showed her the menu and the ingredients listed. She sighed and huffed, snatched up the bottle squirted a bit in and then threw the bottle back down. It was like a stroppy teenager. She was so rude and unhelpful. I couldn't tell if poor cocktails by order of management to save money or if watered down or bought low alcohol cheaper versions or if they just didn't have the right training to actually know how to make them properly. Hard to tell! The guys in the main hotel bar were lovely and did try to make them look nice at least but you shouldn't have to watch every drink made to make sure it has the ingredients listed in their own menus! I ended up ordering the components separately and making my own just to get a decent drink. It sounds a bit petty to be complaining just about drinks but it really did ruin the holiday for me as pre dinner cocktails are my favourite bit. If this issue wouldn't bother you then it would be a great place to stay especially with young kids as there was so much choice for food and the kids pool was great. But unfortunately, not for me and not a 5 star all inclusive at all. TUI really needs to tighten up on their definitions for all inclusive or do more thorough reviews of their hotels. The drinks were AWFUL! Its also Pepsi and not Coca Cola! 😱

And the food was definitely some of the best Iv ever had in AI .. massive well done to all the kitchen and serving teams.. the lady at the gyro counter is absolutely amazing!!! The majority of the staff are wonderful.. the young lad in the main bar is a bit moody and he studiously ignored us one night ! However the bar staff, and the young lady who waitresses were great . Special shout out to mae the young French lady from the animation team and Samuel the tall thin young man from the main dining room… both polite, friendly and a credit to their respective teams. The padded beds around the pool are lovely.. the beds on the beach are the most uncomfortable Iv ever used. You definitely need beach shoes. One thing that was somewhat of a nuisance is the fact that there are no toilets near the main bar, you have to walk ( or lift) down 2 flights of stairs. Drinks were on the whole really good… and it was never a long wait to get served. I would definitely return, thanks for a great stay
Such a lovely time away staying here. The food was brilliant, the entertainment was excellent. We feel totally relaxed. The hotel is beautiful and clean, staff are very friendly and the vibe is very friendly peaceful and relaxing. Couldn’t ask for any more. Also, the entertainment from Mondher was great. A special thank you goes to the animation team – Mimo, Sergiu, and Olga. They are energetic, friendly, and always make guests feel welcome. Their activities are fun, well-organized, and suitable for all ages. They truly create unforgettable memories and bring so much positive energy every day. I would also like to praise the restaurant staff, especially Kiriakos and Kosadina. They are professional, hardworking, and always serve guests with a smile. Their kindness and excellent service made every meal even more enjoyable. The reception team deserves recognition as well. They were always helpful, polite, and ready to assist with any questions or requests, making the stay smooth and stress-free. Finally, a big thank you to the lifeguards for their professionalism and attention. Their presence made everyone feel safe around the pools at all times. Overall, Asterias Beach Resort is a fantastic hotel with outstanding staff. I highly recommend it and would love to return in the future!

The hotel was clean, beautiful, and perfect for families with children. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We would especially like to recommend Olga, the children’s animator. She is amazing, caring, and fantastic with kids. Our children loved spending time with her every day.
