This is a nice hotel but not worth the money we paid. Snack bar has gyros, burgers, pizza and chips that you ask for. Staff are not friendly. Gyros has2 different types of meat but I'm not sure what. No branded drinks included. You have to pay extra! When I come to a 5 star all inclusive I don’t expect to have to pay for anything… isn’t that the point in ‘all inclusive’ Drinks served in paper cups at the 'beach bar' which shuts at 6 sometimes 5. Most cocktails are disgusting. At the main bar we asked for a cocktail (negroni) to be made, using the ingredients they had and was told no, so had to ask for each of the ingredients separately and make it ourselves! Beach sand and shingle - take beach shoes - nice once you are in, warm and clear Beach is part of at least 3 other resorts, if you have read anywhere that there is windsurfing and water sports this is not true and solely for the other resorts. We went and asked and were told no, even tho it is right on the beach that is part of Asterias. If you book a suite you will be right by the beach but don't expect to have the sea view you have paid for... we had a view of a hedge !!! Absolutely shocking for the extra we paid. The hotel is in between two other hotels that share the beach and will have to listen to loud techno and karaoke music as they do their exercise classes . Entertainment 1st night was bingo that you have to pay for !!! ( this is meant to be all inclusive and we are paying for entertainment ??) cost us £10 euros for 3 people. Prizes were animation t shirt or bottle of Prosecco when drinks are included anyway (unless you want to pay for a nice drink) 2nd night Greek traditional dancing and music, encouraged to get up and do Greek Conga. Restaurant had nice food and always something tasty. Breakfast is usual European stuff. No good cereals for teens, no donuts or Nutella just their own chocolate sauce. They Don't make omelettes with varied ingredients, just make them themselves and then tell you to take one. Hard to get someone to come to your table to offer a drink at meal times and no wine, beer, fizzy drinks to help yourself to, only orange, pineapple or apple juice. Usually have finished meal by the time you can get someone to get you a drink. Only house wine or fizz on offer which is both disgusting. The food is very good tho and was the best part of the holiday. Remember to visit the Greek corner as the food here was also fab with rabbit stew and octopus. We came here as wanted a junior suite with a sea view - paid over £1000 extra for the privilege and were given a view of a hedge !!! This really let the holiday down for us as it’s just ironic that we paid to have a sea view and didn’t get it. Lots and lots of bugs in my children's sink, seemed to go when we sprayed insect repellent. Some sort of nest of maybe a hornet or a bird or something outside our rooms, really gross to see each time we go out the door. We were put where the staff have all their cleaning gear so woken at 6.30am most mornings. Sorry but how they can say this is a 5* star resort i do not comprehend! More like 3. I have been to many 5 star and not had to get my purse out to pay for standard things my children or i would like such as a Fanta, coke, ice cream etc. You go down to the beach for a swim, come back via the beach bar and have to pay for a drink unless you want something horrible. How is this 5 star all inclusive? There is no football. Tennis and basketball is out the front of the hotel. Overall thoroughly disappointed and feel like we were duped from Tul and the website, so writing this review in case anyone else is wanting a review of possibly the same things as we were looking for and didn't get. We just kept going to the neighbour hotels as Asterias beach didn't fulfill our needs as a family who look forward to a well earned family break and didn't get this from this hotel. One waitress in lobby bar is attentive and friendly, other is dismissive and rude and doesn't come and ask if you want drinks as clearly can't be bothered. I think the hotel management need to remind staff people have saved and worked hard to earn this holiday and should have a duty to be polite and accommodating. They constantly have sprinklers on the grass areas that you walk over to get to the beach etc which you tread on and is a boggy mess, putting mud all over your feet. Lots of cats. The cleaner kept our room lovely and really appreciated that. Take a short stroll down the beach for water sports 80 euros for jet ski for half an hour, sofas pulled by boat, hire a boat etc.

The room - spacious and overall ok. For the hotter months you need to request additional room keys so that the air-conditioning stays on. The third bed in the room for our daughter was tiny, ideally should be larger. Drinks - all the traditional cocktails were terrible, we couldn't drink them. Stick to the beer, easy mixers, and if you like coffee ask for a cafe frappe with Irish cream. Food - was ok. Nothing to phone home about it suppose but all edible and nice enough. Pool - pools were good, large with a kids pool which my daughter had great fun in.

A lovely hotel. We had a lovely 7 day all inclusive holiday. To summarise our thoughts below: Positives: - Beautiful setting. The hotel grounds is well maintained. Lots of colour. Maintenance staff clearly take pride in their work around the hotel. - very friendly staff. They were interactive with our child and knew our drinks orders. Nothing was too much to ask. We were literally the last guests to leave the hotel today (it is not closed for winter) and they gave us a late check out at no extra cost. - we upgraded to a large family room and it was LARGE. - there is a path that leads you directly to the beach. There is a beach shack that serves all inclusive drinks on the beach too which is a plus as you don’t have to walk all the way back to the snack shack. - the snack shack chef made the yummies fresh gyros each day. A real perk. - A really good amount of sun loungers. - lovely seating area for the restaurant. - lovely bar area in the evening. They also have board games and cards etc out for you to use. A nice touch. - spa on site with good deals. 30 euros for a massage and facial. - indoor pool. - rooms cleaned and tidied every day. - air conditioning - good range of all inclusive drinks. There are some cocktails you have to pay for but this did not interfere with our experience. - mini market on site. Perhaps send some buckets and spades to buy down to the beach shack so parents don’t have to walk all the way to one end of the hotel and then back again. Some cons: - the pools were absolutely freezing. It didn’t stop our child from spending ages in the pool but for a 5* hotel I would have expected heated pools as the season came to an end. It did stop us making full use of the pool which is a shame as it’s one of our favourite parts of holidaying. - the restaurant provided good evening and lunch choices but often it was only like warm food as it’s a buffet. No pitta breads at all! Breakfast was really repetitive and no variety between the days. This could be an improvement. The food that was served during the day however was all delicious. - the entertainment was a real mixed bag. We understood it was coming to the end of the season but the entertainment felt half hearted and wasn’t really drawing people in. This is a huge difference to previous 5* hotels we have stayed at where the entertainment is bubbly and interactive. Sadly, you could hear the vibe from the hotel next door more than you could from the actual hotel. The two young ladies who did the kids mini disco every night were good with the kids and they were part of a team that organised a Halloween party for the children which was a nice touch. - the bathroom in our accommodation was very tired and could do with a refresh. Tui rate this hotel as 5* and I can definitely see potential of this however I would say our experience was more alike to a solid 4* during our October getaway.
