Atlantica Imperial Resort

We stayed at the Atlantic Imperial Resort in Rhodes for one week and overall had a mixed experience. On arrival, we were greeted very warmly by reception staff, offered hot towels and champagne, and given a full introduction to the hotel. We were then escorted to our room via golf cart, which was a really nice touch. The porter staff were friendly and informative throughout our stay. Our room was a sea-view double, and it was spotless. The shower pressure was excellent, including the rainfall head. Toiletries were plentiful and good quality, and the minibar was stocked daily with Coke, Sprite, beer, wine, and water. The espresso coffee machine in the room was a great addition and something we used every day. The room also included robes, towels, flannels, a bath mat, and even a sewing kit—which actually came in very handy when my girlfriend’s top tore slightly. The hotel itself has a very luxurious feel, with lots of marble, mosaic detailing, high ceilings, indoor and outdoor water features, and a stunning atrium with landscaping and a waterfall. Food quality was excellent—probably the best we’ve had at an all-inclusive resort. There was a wide range of options, although it did become quite repetitive, especially at breakfast and lunch, which were almost identical every day. Dinner offered some variation with different cuisines on certain nights. Drinks were widely available across several bars, with a good cocktail selection. You could even request off-menu cocktails, which was great. However, consistency was an issue. The lobby bar produced the best and most accurate drinks, but at other bars—particularly the Helios pool bar—cocktails varied significantly depending on the staff and time of day. For example, a “Sex on the Beach” tasted and looked different almost every time, and towards the end of our stay, it seemed to be replaced with a premix that didn’t meet 5-star standards. The Ginger à la carte restaurant was a highlight—10/10. The food was delicious and well worth it. The only downside was that steak came at an extra cost (with a 30% discount for all-inclusive guests). It would have been nice to have a more affordable steak option included. Unfortunately, the spa experience was disappointing. While the front desk staff were friendly, the overall service felt lacking. The masseuses were very quiet and not particularly engaging, and there was little guidance on pre-treatment procedures like sauna or shower use. The massage itself was decent, but at €90, it felt overpriced for what was essentially a basic oil massage with no additional treatments. We’ve had far better spa experiences at other 5-star hotels for less. After the treatment, we were taken to a dark room and handed an iPad to write a review, then left alone without any explanation of what to do next. No one returned, and it felt quite unprofessional—especially during what seemed to be a staff shift change. Overall, I would rate the spa 2/5 and not good value for money. The hotel’s location is excellent—right on the beachfront in a lively area with plenty of local shops and things to do nearby. Overall rating: 4/5 A beautiful hotel with great food and location, but let down by inconsistency in service and some aspects that don’t quite meet 5-star expectations.

Wonderful holiday in this efficiently run hotel. So many amenities and could not really fault anything. Rooms are fabulous and the entire resort is spotless. The staff make this hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. They really made our holiday special. Main restaurant is beautiful and the buffet offers so much variety. Some great spaces to relax in. Good evening entertainment. Overall highly recommend.

The spa experience was disappointing and not worth the money. There was little communication about what to expect, and the overall service felt lacking. The showers were also unclean, which was off-putting. The massage was okay, but afterward I was left in a dark room with no guidance or refreshments, and quickly handed an iPad to write a review, which felt unprofessional and rushed. At £90 per person, it didn’t feel like good value—I wouldn’t recommend the spa, despite really enjoying the rest of the hotel.

Great place to stay! If you are after all round attentive care and good cuisine, this is certainly the place for you! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from tthe quality of the room [which was spacious, with corner sofa] to the food standard being extremely high. There is plenty of choice, for all foodie types, with each evening being of a slightly different theme. The only one that didnt really appeal was the oriental evening as from the UK this felt more like a take away than 5* dining. But it was all still delicious. The drinks are made well and not over powering in alcohol like some all inclusive resorts. The hotel has lots of space to find peaceful places and the beach [although not all sandy] is also very private and beautiful. The staff are happy to go above and beyond and are always checking your stay meets your expectations and they ensure the personal touch is present in your stay. The one A La Carte dinner we chose the Ginger Restuarant and WOW what an experience! From staff to food to the wine. Bravo!

We stayed at Atlantica Imperial Resort Rhodes in the Residence building with a swim-up pool during week 18, 2026. Overall, the hotel is nice, but unfortunately it does not live up to a 5-star standard. One of several issue is the noise level. On top of the main building there are large cooling towers and ventilation systems, which create a constant and disturbing noise—especially in the Residence building, which is located slightly higher up. You don’t notice it much around the main hotel areas, but from our room it was hard to ignore. The area surrounding the hotel appears worn down and offers very little if you want to go for a walk outside the resort. The hotel itself is attractive, but it seems to have grown too large for its facilities. The main restaurant, Agora, is not adequately sized or organized to handle the number of guests. Although it appears spacious, the noise level is very high (we measured around 75 dB), and there are long queues—both to enter the restaurant and at the food stations. It often feels like “every man for himself” just to get food. The drink service is also inefficient. On several occasions, we never received the beverages we ordered. The system—where water is served quickly and then a waiter later takes additional drink orders—does not work well. We also tried two of the à la carte restaurants: Ginger: An outdoor dining concept that doesn’t work well early in the season. With temperatures below 20°C and light wind, we felt cold despite a few gas heaters. Mylos: The best experience of our stay. Very cozy and authentic atmosphere with excellent service. We were lucky to be seated indoors—guests seated outside later in the evening seemed uncomfortable due to the cold and wind. For breakfast, we used Blue Ray in the Residence building every day. It’s smaller, much more relaxed, and offers great service. Unfortunately, it’s not open for lunch or dinner, which is a shame as it would be a great alternative to the main restaurant. The Sky Bar, also in the Residence building, is small, cozy, and has good service—we used it often. However, the temperature in the evenings could also be an issue here. Conclusion Atlantica Imperial Resort is a pleasant and comfortable hotel, but due to issues with noise, restaurant capacity, and service, it does not meet the expectations of a true 5-star experience.
