Blue Sea Beach Resort

Thank you to the hairdresser based in the spa Maria Perros, she did a fabulous job doing my hair for a wedding, she did a beautiful job!

Really nice place, Nice rooms, food need to be improve, lunch and dinner nice, beach is lovely, pools are nice but a bit freezing, Animation team are funny and lovely a lot of activities and fun, live music and evening shows are nice

My family and I stayed at this hotel from 16th May to 23rd May, and unfortunately our experience was quite disappointing overall. The biggest issue for us was the food. There was very little variety throughout the stay, and the meat was consistently undercooked and extremely fatty every day. On top of that, most of the food lacked flavour. We were especially disappointed with the à la carte restaurant. The meat I was served was raw and had to be sent back, which completely put me off. In the end, I ordered from the children’s menu and ended up eating chips, which is definitely not what you expect from an à la carte dining experience. Cleanliness in the dining areas was also concerning. On several occasions when getting drinks, the glasses were dirty and still had lipstick stains on them. There were also stacks of plates left to the side because they had not been cleaned properly. The room also did not live up to the photos advertised on On the Beach, which was disappointing. There was also a strange smell in both the room and the corridors throughout our stay. That being said, the staff were friendly and polite, especially the spa staff. I had a facial and my boyfriend had a massage, and we both really enjoyed those treatments. The spa experience was definitely one of the highlights of the holiday. Overall, while the staff and spa were positives, the food quality, cleanliness issues, and condition of the room meant this was not the experience we were expecting.

We arrived Tuesday night and opted To stay in the annex. When we went to checked in the receptionist kindly directed us to the restaurant before it closed for the night and then we checked in after We were shown our room which was across a main road and then we decided to take a look around the hotel grounds Given it was dark I unfortunately fell over an unseen step at the top pool and incurred what I though was a bad sprain I hobbled back to our room to find that there were no extra blanket or pillows and no strip across the bed to keep the under sheet dry/clean. It was cold that night and could have done with a blanket In the morning I could not put any weight on my foot which was still very swollen My husband went over to reception reported the incident and came back with crutches which I used for the duration of our stay I also went to reception and asked them to change our room (which was far better than the annex and complete with blanket etc) as I could no longer walk the distance which the hotel accommodated but what I did find strange was they DID NOT to my knowledge make an official record of my accident or did not ask to see my severely swollen foot Turns out when I got back to the uk hospital I had fractured my ankle ! STRIP LIGHTING is required at that step as it is treacherous in the dark when you do not know where you are going Other than that the food was a good variety and we were basically left to ourselves by the animation team as they saw me hobbling with crutches, though one member did ask what happened Was nice at the beach where I spent the majority of my time and there was a lovely waitress who offered advice for my foot and sorted out my food choices Please sort the step out at the top pool !

There's good points then there's bad so let's start with the good, first good point is the beach bar, great if you want to stay on the beach all day as the beach bar serves drinks and a good selection of food and sandwiches all day and we noticed that all the neighbouring hotels didn't have a beach bar.second is that you can literally eat food all day if you want, there's the main hall serving meals at the usual times then as I mentioned there's the food on all day at the beach bar and there's the pool bar serving crepes during the day. Another good point is location, a short walk to falaraki town if your able but a short 1 euro 50 bus ride from just out front of the hotel and on the other side of the road is the bus stop to Rhodes town and the little trains that do small trips are situated outside the hotel near the shopping centre. Ok here are where the hotel could improve, our hotel room hadn't been prepared for us properly, there was drinks left from the last people in there and there was spilled drink inside the fridge, second is that there's a few bar staff that are absolutely miserable, they half fill the small plastic cups plonk it on the counter and turn away looking like they hate their job and don't want to be there, I've lost count how many times I said thank you to them in greek and English and they just turn away from you with no response, oh and if you want to jump the queue at the beach bar when the skinny older guy is serving, just put a few euro on the counter, don't get me wrong most of the bar staff are lovely, there's just that few that will only acknowledge you if you give them a tip.they need to employ someone to keep the beach tidy, a lot of the neighbouring hotel beaches were much tidier than this one, oh yes Toilets, the cleaners do their best but some of the toilet areas need cleaning more regularly as some guests at the hotel are not as cleanly conscious as the rest of us.all in all a good hotel we've been there twice now and it always seems busier than the nearby hotels.
