We were guests at the hotel from May 25 to June 5, 2026. The hotel itself is very charming, with beautiful views, great swimming pools, and a lovely beach. However, I am writing this review mainly because of the appalling restaurant service, whose behavior should not go unnoticed. First of all, I would like to point out that the situations described below occurred multiple times during our stay. However, I have chosen the two incidents that stood out the most and best illustrate the exceptionally rude attitude of the staff. Situation #1: On our last day at the Thalassa restaurant, we experienced a very unpleasant incident involving one of the waiters. As a family of three, we sat at a table for four. Shortly after we had taken our seats, a tall, dark-haired waiter approached us and asked how many people were in our party. When we replied that there were three of us, he simply responded, "OK." A short while later, while we were still eating breakfast, the same waiter returned to our table and, without saying a single word, pulled away the second table we were using (the four-person tables are created by joining together two two-person tables). Such behavior was both shocking and absurd, especially considering that there were plenty of small tables available throughout the restaurant. The staff regularly converted small tables into four-person tables by adding two extra chairs, even though there was clearly not enough space on them and used plates were often not cleared away promptly. I would also like to add that we never saw more than two people seated at the small tables, whereas four-person tables were frequently occupied by families of three—including at the very moment when this unpleasant incident occurred. We were left with the impression that we were treated as second-class guests because we did not speak German. We travel abroad frequently, but this was the first time we have ever experienced such disrespectful treatment from hotel staff. Situation #2: Another incident worth mentioning took place at the Athena restaurant, where lunch is served daily from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. During our stay, we arrived there at around 2:00 p.m., and the staff had already started preparing the tables for dinner by laying elegant tablecloths. We wanted to sit on the terrace at the only available table, where a waitress was in the process of placing a tablecloth. The moment she saw us approaching, her facial expression clearly showed strong dissatisfaction. She then removed the tablecloth in an obviously annoyed manner and walked away without saying a word. Due to the extremely poor and unwelcoming service we experienced throughout our stay, we will never return to this hotel despite its many other positive qualities.

Five years ago (in September 2021) we visited this place for the first time. We had a renovated SUPERIOR room with a beautiful view, and the entire holiday experience was excellent. For our first holiday with our eight-month-old daughter, we therefore decided to return. Unfortunately, this holiday was less enjoyable, mainly due to the service. The service in the restaurant is poor. The staff is unfriendly: they don’t say hello, and when you sit down, a roll of cutlery is tossed in front of you as if you were a dog. The crockery is usually dirty, so you have to pay close attention to which plate, cup or bowl you pick up. This also applies to the cups at the pool. At the buffet, most labels are missing, so you don’t know what you’re eating. When a label is present, no allergen information is listed. On top of that, the food is never really hot — most of the time you eat everything lukewarm. What I find truly bizarre is that the food is cleared away well before closing time. Because of the baby, we often had to eat earlier or later. On one occasion we were told off at 8:30 PM by a waitress for eating “so late,” while by 9:00 PM the food had already been cleared — even though the restaurant was supposed to be open until 9:30 PM. I also found the service at the reception to be poor. Standard checkout is at 12:00 PM, but our flight didn’t leave until 8:30 PM. Since we were travelling with a young baby who is a difficult sleeper, it was essential for us to have somewhere for her to nap during the day, especially ahead of a long journey. We therefore requested a late checkout a full week in advance. Unfortunately, they could only confirm it after 5:00 PM the day before. Of the two rooms we had, only one was available until 4:00 PM — which was not long enough for my baby’s schedule. I asked about other options, such as any other available room on the resort, but all my attempts were brushed aside without anything even being checked. Grateful that anything was possible at all, we booked the late checkout until 4:00 PM at €10 per hour. On the day of departure, our baby had a poor second nap, meaning a third nap around 4:00 PM was needed. I decided to go to reception once more to ask whether it was truly impossible to find a space somewhere — perhaps near the lobby. After all, the heat and 85 dB of music by the pool were not an option. I understand that my request was not a right, but the complete lack of empathy and the zero effort made to think along with our situation genuinely surprised me. They were not willing to place one of their many travel cots somewhere. Such a small effort would have made the world of difference to us. In the end, my girlfriend sat in the dark on the toilet for half an hour so that our daughter could sleep on her. It is ridiculous that this was necessary. Of course, not everything was bad, so here are some positive points to close with: - The housekeeping staff are extremely friendly and the rooms were always beautifully clean. - The ladies at the pool bar are super friendly, helpful and cheerful. - The views from the resort are stunning — you are surrounded by sea on all sides. - The food is very good, with many local dishes. - There were always enough high chairs available, even when the restaurant was very busy.

Amazing hotel with fantastic staff, especially Alessandra in Thalassa restaurant! Love the food in general, clean and a breathtaking view! The small beach is fabulous! Can deeply recommend this hotel!
