La Marquise

We spent 11 nights at the hotel on our honeymoon in October 2025. We had a room with a private pool and it was excellent. The room was large and spacious with separate bath and shower. The pool area caught the sun all day and was lovely and secluded, although the pool itself was a little chilly! The sea was much warmer to swim in. We had a black card and after the first morning took every breakfast at the a la carte restaurant- it was amazing and relaxing and a great way to start the day - the staff worked super hard and were always so friendly. We had some fun and games waiting for the buses into Rhodes Town, they were running every 20 mins, but sometimes they didn’t stop as they were full by the time they got to the hotel. We did get the red boat from the beach into town which was a good alternative. We had a fabulous holiday made by the beautiful surroundings, amazing food and wonderful staff - thank you everyone

we got married here in oct, had a contact - Frank, who was amazing, nothing was too much trouble and he answered all emails promptly and gave all the information needed. once arrived we had a meeting with Frank who noted all of the requirements, and made us feel in expert hands. on the day the food and drink service was exceptional. i would recommend having a wedding here! rooms were very posh but a bit of a maze trying to find family as we werent together. very comfortable sun beds on the beach but disappointed the beach bar wasn’t included in the all inclusive. staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. only negative was the speed of the table service in the crystal bar, over 30 mins waiting so we went to the bar to be told to sit and wait for someone to come to us, next day we ordered 2 rounds at once, upon receiving them ordered more

We stayed at La Marquise from 24th September to 1st October in Room 1314—our second visit after first staying in 2019 so we were keen to see how the hotel had changed during COVID as we read that they had a refurb during this time. Check-in was warm and efficient, and we were delighted to receive the room we’d requested which was the same as our last stay. The room had been refreshed since our last visit, with lighter décor, updated furniture, and a much improved walk-in shower, great for accessibility. The fridge is stocked with a bottle of water and isn't refilled again during your stay. The tea & coffee box was empty however as I brought my own in my suitcase this wasn't an issue. The shared infinity pool and poolside view added to the comfort. Dining at the main restaurant was a highlight, with varied themed nights, live cooking stations, and beautifully presented desserts—kudos to the pastry chef. However, the service was inconsistent, on several occasions, drink orders were overlooked, which was disappointing and on two days in a row our waiter didn't bring us our drinks when he took our drinks order which was only a can of lemon iced tea and a Fanta meaning we went all through dinner with no drinks not even water. The second day was the same and It was hard to get his attention, I managed to flag down another waiter from another section and he told the waiter that he's not delivered our drinks and then it was brought over , but with no apology for delay. Shame The Gondola Bar offered delicious lunches with attentive service, and the new coffee shop was a lovely addition , perfect for a light bite in a relaxed setting. Offering pizzas, baguettes, cakes ect and a vast selection of drinks Some areas of the hotel grounds felt a little tired and needs some maintenance and up keep. Path ways were chipped or cracked and the general landscape needed a bit of tlc. The biggest disappointment was the main lobby fountain remained off throughout our stay, which was a shame as it adds a bit of luxury it's lovely to see and adds to the feeling of the hotel but on this visit wasn't to be Entertainment was minimal, especially in the evenings, so we’d recommend venturing out to explore the charming Old Town at night which is beautiful or purchase a pack of playing cards. During our stay 3 nights was a pinano player, and some days it was the same live singers or dancers it was 6years ago , the entertainment could do with a freshen up Despite a few letdowns, it was a much-needed and sunny escape after a difficult year battling illness. With a few improvements, La Marquise could truly shine.

La Marquise Hotel - Holiday September 2025 This was our second stay at La Marquise, which is ideal for both children and adults. We were a family of three adults and one child, staying on a half-board basis. We chose half board because our grandsons prefer to visit a friend’s bar in the evenings, which is conveniently located not far from the hotel. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and efficiently checked in by the receptionist, who was extremely helpful and polite with a smile! The bellboy, who was also very courteous, took us to our family suite in a buggy. The suite, located not far from the main building, featured two bedrooms and a balcony with a pool view. It was very spacious, with a generously sized bathroom that included both a separate bath and a walk-in shower. The housekeeping staff were excellent and always ensured our room was spotless. Personally, I would have liked to see some English sausages available at breakfast, but this was a minor detail, as the food at the hotel was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes to suit all tastes. The waiters in the main dining room consistently provided outstanding service. We did not try the other restaurants in the hotel, but that was our choice, as we were happy dining in the main restaurant. We appreciated the dress code in the dining room, where men are required to wear trousers for dinner, which is fitting for a five-star hotel. The pool bar, open from 10 a.m., is very pleasant, and just a short stroll away is the coffee house, which serves delicious wraps, brioche buns, pizza, cakes, and more perfect for a snack. For those who prefer not to walk to the beach, there is a regular buggy service from the main entrance that takes guests to and from the beach. The buggy drivers are very friendly and efficient, a special mention to Andreas who we enjoyed chatting with. Alternatively, relaxing by the swimming pool is highly recommended, and it’s a great way to cool off. Each morning, complimentary ice cream is served with a smile! The pool attendant was always helpful, assisting with sunbeds, parasols, and anything else we needed. The hotel offers regular entertainment, including a daily animation program and evening shows with live bands. There are also activities for children with a mini-club and a playground, as well as live music in the restaurants and bars several times a week. You can visit Rhodes Town and Faliraki by bus or taxi. If you’re feeling energetic, you might enjoy the 20-minute walk to the Epsilon shopping centre, which has various shops and bars. The bus fare to Epsilon is 1.50 euros, while a taxi costs between 7 and 12 euros. Finally, we would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff for their hospitality and excellent customer service throughout our stay. We are already looking forward to our next holiday, which is booked for 2026.

We are currently staying at La Marquise, our fourth visit to this beautiful hotel. As usual having a very enjoyable stay. The pool access room is large, comfortable and a few steps away from pool. Despite being full, the hotel does not feel crowded and service remains good. The food in both buffet and a la carte restaurants is excellent. The staff are friendly and professional, and take good care of guests. We enjoy pre dinner drinks in the Luna Bar every evening. Nektarios, mixes very good cocktails and gives outstanding customer service, he is a great asset to the hotel. The location is convenient with regular buses to Rhodes town and Faliraki. We have already booked a return visit.
