La Marquise

We stayed here for two weeks in the adult section so this review is from that perspective. Aesthetically the hotel is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were all brilliant. Everyone was friendly and helpful. There are carts just outside reception that take you pretty much anywhere on the resort and to the beach if required. The food in all the restaurants was excellent. We had the black card which entitled us to use three a la carte restaurants twice per week. We were also entitled to a lunch once per week in the Gondola pool bar/restaurant and we could also use the a la carte buffet for breakfast on the third floor for black card holders only. This was a real advantage to have because although the food in the main buffet was excellent it could get monotonous if used every day. However, for families with children the main buffet was superb. There is even a section for children with things like chicken nuggets etc. The food here was plentiful and presented beautifully and items were replenished regularly. The rooms are large and the cleaning service was very good. The service in all the bars was fantastic especially in the Azzurro pool bar. The bartender there was very professional and friendly and kept the whole area clean and tidy. There are, however, a few things that could be improved upon: The beach is not the best. Loungers are comfortable albeit a bit old. The sand is what I can only describe as likened to fine dirt and dust. There was rubbish left from the day before ie empty cans of drinks. It’s a shame that the beach bar/restaurant isn’t included in the all inclusive package. The entertainment isn’t very consistent but Jersey Boys were fantastic. Around the two pools in the adults section there are well spaced out loungers. However, many of these loungers are the “property” of the ground floor rooms which were previously paid for by the occupants of said ground floor rooms as part of their package. This made for a few arguments around the pool when people inadvertently sat on those loungers and were asked to move. These loungers need to have a reserved sign on them with the room number to which they belong so it is clear to unsuspecting guests where they can and can’t sit. I witnessed four occasions where people were moved on. It’s embarrassing for all involved. In short this is a fabulous hotel and I would have no hesitation in returning.

Staff very friendly in the buffet restaurant especially Kostas and Jonida been with the hotel.years. 5th stay here and the level of housekeeping has gone downhill Drinks in minibar out of date Safe broken on arrival Bathroom door won't lock Shower blocked and flooded the room Aircon very noisy and inefficient All things housekeeping should check when preparing a room for new quests and not relying on quests to report to reception and eventually getting things fixed.

From the initial kerb appeal as you compare to the high rise hotels opposite, from when you walk into the foyer for the first time, from when you go into your room from the first to the last time when you leave, this hotel is just wow. Went All Inclusive in the adults only area. Food was great, we actually preferred the choices of the buffet as found the a-la-cart menus restricted. Drink quality did vary depending on who made it, but never a problem to request something different. Highlight for us was the coffee shop with cakes to die for which was included in the AI. Taxi was €24 to the old town which was worth a visit. Staff were all great, from the cleaners to the porters to the waiters to the bar staff to reception.

Lovely hotel with great service from everyone. We went half board which worked for us and able to swap dinner for lunch. Restaurant staff amazing - Marina, CJay and manager all so nice and food was v good. My negatives are that I felt it seemed a bit soulless - could be to do with the size which we knew but it lacked something. There is a real lack of atmosphere in the evenings and entertainment that was ok but only 3 nights out of 10 and from the app it’s the same every week. Think hotel really missing something here as these evenings were really well attended and people up dancing without it being mad and not late. Other nights you could sit in bar and there is not even any light background music so people didn’t bother too much going. Because the hotel is not near any other restaurant or bars without travelling on bus we found it lacking. Daytime activity was also not great - the animation girls tried but the app said another water activity planned for each afternoon but they couldn’t run it as hotel said quiet time but as there is no music around the pools it’s pretty quiet anyway Loved the style of the hotel and service was great - shout out to Eriola in coffee house etc but felt it didn’t really deliver fully on the explanation in terms of entertainment and as we selected it as my adult daughter has special needs and loves that type of thing - even the Tui rep said in evenings people go out as bar so quiet and not much going on

We are on our final night of a 10 night stay at La Marquise and we are nothing but thrilled with our stay here. Throughout our stay we have been looked after with care and attentiveness by the incredible staff, every single staff member has impressed us with their politeness and friendly natures. A special shout out has to go to Hasan in the Da Vinci restaurant for how quickly and expertly he goes about his job. While we had some issues when leaving the hotel due to tourist trap beach bars and restaurants everything about this hotel is excellent. From minute one we have felt comfortable and well looked after. We would definitely come back and if we were to do so we would go all-inclusive.
