La Marquise

We've just come back from a brilliant 2 weeks at La Marquise in Kallithea, Rhodes. We simply cannot fault this hotel! The service of all of the staff, the food, the drinks, the variety of places to eat and the level of cleanliness is next level. The restaurant team were absolutely fabulous and their service to and knowledge of the customers was more than 5 stars. A special shout out and thank you to Vasil, Daniel, Hasan and Vasilis who are a credit to the hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel and very much look forward to coming back in the future.

This hotel exceeded any expectations I had. We went all-inclusive for seven nights and it did not disappoint. Breakfast, lunch, dinner was excellent. The bar was lovely, free cocktails for all inclusive. The service was very, very fast and the staff were lovely. Mentioning the staff, they made the hotel what it is. Smiles and hellos all around. Informative and always there to help. Thank you staff! Beautiful hotel overall and so much to discover.

La Marquise 1st package holiday in over 30 years, mostly long hall and sort out accommodation not staying in one place previously. With the Trump effect and friends getting stranded in Vietnam, decided to play safe. Personally I don’t think Trump has had such a negative effect on the UK as that Lying Crook Boris f..@“;=+%king Johnson who should be locked up for what he did to our country and people…oops bit side tracked but so true. As we arrived from the airport on a packed coach the entrance, with its roof top waterfall… 1st impressions were to say the least very good, then when only 2 couples disembarked, you could hear and see the envy in the eyes from those left behind, this was very much confirmed when sharing and comparing with other holiday makers during our excursions. We knew it was 5 star but not one of Tui’s top Platinum Dine and discover hotels. You can always tell the quality of your accommodation by the simple things, for example - grouting and silicone beading especially in the bathroom, It was spotless no staining or mould. The painting, up to but not over fittings, thank you to the maintenance staff. As you walk into the grand reception along the mirror finished marble floor and into the main restaurant, you are greeted by the huge, genuine warm smile of the ‘Puffin Man’ (when you meet him you will understand) he personally walked us to our table where we are handed over to ‘Valsselious’ who along with the many waiting staff looked after us above and beyond, it didn’t seem to matter what time you dined there was always plenty of fresh food and choice, never queues as described by people at other resorts. The resort is large, with no high rise to shadow or block your views, just right , never feeling crowded or queuing, you can wonder round or get picked up by one of the many golf buggies which is a great way to be taken through their tunnel to an immaculate beach not golden but clean and regularly cleaned, again the service is very good, plenty of sun beds even for the (friendly very, very, very tall) Germans (who never smile, which is not surprising, due to concussion after smashing their heads every time they go through a door way) although they all speak Anglais we didn’t encounter many British. There are more than enough sun beds all way around the many, many or even more pools interconnected by tasteful bridges, waiter service as you wish everywhere. There is a lot more to the resort that we didn’t experience, simply because we didn’t need to or had time, Spa, Gym, Indoor Pool…I’m not a golfer but I would challenge any of you to get hole 11 in less than…11 shots. Oh and my partner did enjoy the Hairdresser and I enjoyed seeing the, early season, sometimes slightly over enthusiastic results. Chill at resort 1 day, Trip next day, always returning to enjoy and experience the new array of Gastroenterological delights, how they can come up with so many totally different choices is an accolade. The food… never experienced such an array of choice, every day different and every day the freshly created better than most UK restaurants these days whose menus have all become similar. So thank you to the behind the scenes army of catering staff for producing such a selection of high quality food, different every day, (they must start at sun rise and finish at sun set)after which we wondered through to the Crystal bar for drinks and evening entertainment, the drinks costs were very similar to UK pub prices, though the measures were less measured so experiencing new cocktails was a pleasure. The room was very clean, so thank you to the cleaning staff who were like ghosts we never heard or saw, only the results At the entrance there are 2 bus stops, on the opposite side of road is north to Rhodes and same side southbound to Lindos Card or cash £2.50 euros one way. On the resort app (very useful) the bus time table from Falaraki add 10 mins plus for it to get to the resort and 15 mins plus from Rhodes (get tickets from lower ticket hut closer to sea) Oh Yes, Oh Yes!…the later you leave your return journey the more competition from other travellers for buses, no seat no travel, bus drivers are helpful with a smiley face but strict with a none smile face, their buses are like their taxis, clean and functional, so respect and perhaps learn basic Greek for Hello and Thank you. Speaking to members of staff and the Tui reps who were always on hand to help but never pushy…we got the same feedback, they all loved working in an environment where everyone got on which each other and this was by far the best resort, this is their life and they genuinely enjoy it. The entertainment staff were extremely enthusiastic. Always had a smile and were very energetic. Did a brilliant job entertaining the very well behaved children and the adults, though some of the old ladies after a few Cremdemomffs were getting a bit fighsty! Last day…bugger…let’s pop into the Coffee House 1st time…wow such a beautiful, relaxing, tranquil setting to chill with yet again such temtping array of pastries, oh by the way the trousers I travelled here in will have its belt buckle let out slightly on my return. Going home soon, whilst we have been here, I’ve turned off all news (news for news sake, there could be another war and you wouldn’t know) and none essential comms, suggest you do the same. We’ve met 1 unhappy looking person since being on holiday…she told us she was a Goth but was happy inside being unhappy…what an amazing world of wonderment we live in. If you are thinking of booking this resort, don’t hesitate as you will not be disappointed…but don’t tell anyone! Mike and Helen

I disagree with the previous reviews as we had a lovely time. The weather was wet foe the first few days but the staff did all they could to make us comfortable and happy. I was ill and they prepared breakfast for my husband to take back to our room - beautiful fruit platters and savoury platters. We had a suite in the main building which was immaculate and very comfortable. Thanks to Christos at the bar for the plentiful cocktails. I only worry about the little cat who entertains and serenades the guests. I hope she is well fed and gets to see a vet.

So disappointed with this resort. If you want a beach holiday this is NOT the place to stay. The beach can only be decribed as horrific - the photos say it all. Absolutely not as advertised. Ended up spending money to hire a car for two days to find a beach worth going to. Staff were nice, food good but that's about it. Only bar in the evening is downstairs with kids music and children's entertainers yelling until 9pm. Would not recommend as there seem to be so many other nicer places to stay in the area
