TUI BLUE Lindos Bay

First the room, it was spacious with a huge balcony which we were able to use each morning and evening before venturing out. The utilities in the room were tired and due for an update and the storage wasn’t great. Location is excellent albeit secluded from the local area, with not much outside the hotel in walking distance to enjoy. However a short taxi ride over to Lindos and away you go. Get your taxis from the stand just down the road, if you book through the reception it will cost you an extra €5 each time. Kitchen staff do a great job in putting out a good buffet spread, usually all inclusive buffets get very repetitive very quickly but somehow this was not the case. There are 2 specialty restaurants on the grounds, both of which are just ok, but strangely the main buffet surpasses both of them. The bar staff were ok and the drinks available were of a decent standard, beers, wines and spirits even the cocktails, no complaints there. Then comes the Jewel in the Crown, the restaurant waiting team, in what appeared to be a constant stream of Basil Faulty type calamities day after day, visit after visit. Frustrating at first turned in to unwitting entertainment as you knew someone was about to do something stupid, you just didn’t know what. 1 Star for service, 5 Stars for entertainment. There is also a young lady called Adela who is the guest liaison manager, who will take care of any needs or issues you may have, not only try and fix but will follow up regularly with to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible, she is a little gem.

3rd time visiting Lindos Bay and again did not disappoint. Gutted to see some staff had left but also nice to meet the new. Fab bar staff and I am so sorry I cannot remember your names 🙈 Adele the new customer relations manager was great and even taking time out to look for us to check everything was ok. Great to see the cleaning lady is still there and still doing the aerobics from the balcony. Fab new team of TUI reps, especially Claire who took time to speak with us and was understanding in that we wanted a relaxing holiday and to not join in. Restaurant as always spot on, I have ceoliac's and all were very attentive and made sure I ate well and did not miss out. Hotel and surroundings are kept very clean and rooms cleaned daily with fridge replenished every other. The only thing that was very different was the sunbeds, in the previous 2 times there was never an issue in people reserving the loungers, (one year was August so the height of the season) this year seemed to be different and we were quite shocked at the difference. All in all a fab holiday, set out to do what was needed and we will come again. Thank you Tui Blue Lindos Bay

2nd year great time again thankfully the sados who get up at 5:30 for a sunbed doesn’t bother us the beach is fantastic, easy to get a bed at a reasonable time easy access in and out of sea as well Katrina at Thea’s makes a mean ice coffee The bar staff great and then there is my football friend serving breakfast great guy To finish the day was the great Maria best waitress on the island even remembered us from previous years thanks so much

It's the staff that really make this hotel such a great place to stay. The entertainment crew Claire, Elliot and Charlie in particular were fantastic in providing fun activities during the day and the evening. We had a room with a private infinity pool which was situated slightly up the hillside away from the main hotel. But Dave and co were always available to take us up (and occasionally down) in the hotel's buggies. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and wonderful views. It was cleaned every day and our fridge restocked regularly. The food in the MDR was a buffet. The evening meals were fine. But we found the breakfasts and lunch time service to be a bit samey. And despite being all inclusive there is very little to eat as a snack between meals. I went to look a few times and the only food available seemed to be left overs from breakfast and some hot dogs which did not look very appetising. Would have been nice to get an ice cream, a cookie or cake, some pizza etc between meals. Especially as I need Medication at a certain time each day with food. We had to go to the on site supermarket to get some biscuits to have with my meds. Other 5 star all inclusive hotels we have been to have had a bit more of a choice throughput the day. And this is the reason why we have not given it 5 stars. Also, the towel situation was a bit strange. We were only allowed one towel each. And could exchange towels once every 2 days. This meant if your towel got wet after swimming, you had no dry towel to sit on on the sun beds. In hindsight we should hace packed some towels, but didn't think we woukd need to as we have not been restricted in the past. Despite these little niggles, it was a great stay and we had a lovely relaxing time.

We enjoyed our holiday very much but a few things could have made it wonderful. More sunbeds around the pool were needed as getting up before 6am to get 4 beds together was a joke ! the beach is very disappointing & getting in & out of the sea is very challenging ! All inclusive drinks are very limited. The Culinarium dinner was very poor with the exception of the Mushroom soup which was exceptional. Having said that, we enjoyed our stay & overall the food was very good with excellent choices. Claire, Elliot & Charlie were brilliant . We loved Lindos & Rhodes Town but feel we've done Rhodes !
