Me and my partner stayed here 17th June-1st of July, the staff at magic life are lovely, very welcoming, majority of the time they always say hello in walking past, staff try their best to do table service during the evening, but obviously it can get very busy so your not always seen to but that isn’t a problem at all when you can easily walk up to the bar yourself to get a drink. Checking in was very easy, we arrived quite late at night but it was a swift check in, upon arrival we paid the tourist tax (which is €15 a night), we had someone come collect us from reception in a buggy and drive us to our room with all of our luggage which was a lovely touch after a long day of travelling. There are 2 pools at this resort, the entertainment pool which is located right by the restaurant and main bar (wunderbar) this pool has lots of activities throughout the day, there’s always something to do, the magic life staff often come round the pool and ask if you would like to join in their pool game/ activities, this pool also has a bar the staff there Michael and Sam are lovely and efficient they always make an effort to spark conversation which is great! There are lots of sun loungers around this pool however shade is limited in areas, i recommend using the beds closest to the stairs as they have the most shade, as we arrived middle of June there was no sun beds wars at all! We would come down at 10am and there would still be more than enough, but towards the end of June start of July it does start to get a lot busier and you do struggle to get a bed, some people reserve them, but not a lot. There is also a spa located near the entertainment pool, the staff at the spa are very welcoming and lovely, however they walk round the pool everyday trying to get you to book a massage, they create a very personalised experience and they even include a free 5 minute massage to try out, but they do pressure you a lot to book one, even after saying no a lot of times or your not interested they will still try to change your mind, you can imagine how annoying this gets when your staying here for 2 weeks and they’re constantly trying to change your mind! The second pool is located further down the hotel near the beach, that one is slightly smaller, not a lot of sun beds, but very relaxing if you want come peace and quiet. The beach is lovely! The idea of a private beach at your resort is fabulous, there is also a beach bar that you can easily access, there is also lots of sun loungers and parasoles but i recommend getting down there early as it gets so hot during the day and it’s about a 5 minute walk to get there. The resort on a whole is fabulous! There are constantly staff working to clean the place from window cleaning to plant watering, it’s very well looked after. When we booked this hotel we actually didn’t realise that it was very sports focused, there’s tennis courts and football pitches, they also do beach volleyball, darts etc you name it they do it. They also have a mini market which has a shop, a jewellery shop, clothes shop etc, the supermarket in my opinion is a little pricey, so i recommend bringing lots of things with you rather than buying it there. The resort also has an adults only bar which is one of my favourite places to go, the staff are lovely, it’s a very chilled environment, sofas, bar tables, bean bags, majority of the time you can watch the evening entertainment from up there instead of being down in the wunderbar which i like. They also have a 24 “snack bar” which consists of sandwiches, fruit, cakes which is nice to have when the restaurants aren’t open. The buffet restaurant on a whole is good, there’s loads of tables inside and outside, the food is good, they have a grill station for fresh fish, they do fresh stone baked pizzas most days, they have Asian cuisine which is my favourite! Chef woujun is amazing! His food is fantastic! And the sous chef, forgive me I can remember his name, is great! He would always chat to us. Theres also a vegan corner, a kids corner and just a mix of lots of different foods to cater to everyone, there is always someone at the gate of the buffet welcoming you in, they also offer welcome drinks which is a nice touch. The à la carte restaurants are okay, the international restaurant was nice, you got to choose foods from different countries, and the Greek restaurant was good as well, if your a picky eater, I wouldn’t recommend these really. The cleaners clean your room every day but they do the bare minimum really like making your bed and changing your towels, but most days they didn’t replace our towels and we would have to calls reception to get some but that’s not a problem. The hotel also has photographers most nights, they take tour photo and you go look at them the next day at breakfast and you can choose whether you want to but them or not. The transfer from the airport to the hotel was just over 2 hours, there really is nothing around the hotel at all, it’s just land and roads, so if your someone that likes to go out in the evening away from the resort I wouldn’t recommend this hotel as there is no where to go. The hotel has a bus stop which we used to get the public bus into Rhodes town which was almost 3 hour journey, it cost €16pp to get there and back but it’s definitely worth it! Rather than getting a taxi which is €130. In my opinion I think this hotel is great for families, rather than couples, I can see that they try to cater for everyone but I think it’s better for families. We did enjoy our stay at magic life and will probably return!
Staff here are amazing very laid back and personable. They made the holiday extra relaxing. Food was amazing and always varied. Rooms very clean. Private beach very clean. Loads for kids to do during day and evening. Shopping centre was great as it is a little out of the way.
Just got back from 8 nights at TUI Magic Life Plimmiri and couldn't recommend it more. We're a couple in our mid-twenties with no kids, and this was actually our second time here (we last came two years ago). Not much has changed since then, but honestly that's exactly why we came back. The TUI transfers sorted everything from the airport both ways with zero hassle. When we arrived we were greeted by Michaela, and a golf cart took us and our bags straight to the room, which was a nice touch after travelling. The room was just as we expected, and the food was too. We thought it was really good value for money given everything that's included. There are loads of pool options and the beach is lovely. It's a hotel that allows children, but we never felt bombarded by kids and always managed to find a sunbed throughout the day without any stress. The rooms are spread across separate blocks with only a few rooms in each, so you're not crammed on top of everyone else, which made a big difference. This is the perfect holiday if you want somewhere quiet where most of the people you speak to are either staff or other guests. Because the beach is part of the resort, you don't get random people wandering around either, which adds to the relaxed, private feel. The entertainment was great, and the drinks at the bar were just what we expected. The staff in the buffet were especially friendly and helpful. They were also showing most of the World Cup games on the big screen, which was a bonus. There's also a spa, which we didn't end up trying. The staff there were a little bit pushy trying to sell us treatments, but we politely declined and that was that. We don't have children, but the services they provide for families looked great from what we could see. The one thing I'd flag is that if you're after a hotel where you can wander into the local town and explore, this probably isn't for you, although you can get a bus into the nearest towns easily enough. Over the 8 nights we never had a single complaint. It's a bit of a trek to get there, but it's definitely worth it. We were very happy and will absolutely be back. Perfect for some peaceful relaxation.
We came as a couple, I cannot fault this hotel one bit. Rooms are spacious and very clean, air-conditioning works perfectly and they are cleaned everyday with bottled water every other day, or you can ask for more. Light refreshments in the fridge on day of arrival. Towels changed if you leave them on the floor. Quite a large complex that seems to be kept clean at all times. Only used one pool once, down by the beach as it was less busy, sun chairs aren't a problem. Beach fills up we found after 10am. Clean beach, some sand but mainly pebbles, I recommend sea shoes! There's a beach bar serves drinks only, but a short walk you can get a buffet lunch instead of walking back up the thr restaurant. Food has been excellent, can't complain about any of it, lots of choice, all fresh and they do themed nights. They're are golf carts that go round and you can book them or flag them down if you want a lift anywhere on site. Entertainment is ok, standard really. Can't comment on kids stuff or sports as we don't have any kids but lots of youngsters and teens here. Overall I would highly recommend, staff are helpful and kind, always have a smile for you.
