Our holiday at TUI Magic Life Plimmiri was, fortunately, not a disaster—but that's largely thanks to Greece itself: the beautiful sea, the sunshine, and the warm weather. The resort certainly wasn't the highlight of the trip. Let's start with what deserves praise. The food was consistently good, with a wide selection and decent quality. The archery activity was one of the highlights of our stay, and special thanks go to **Joshua**, who ran it professionally and made it genuinely enjoyable. At the bars, **Sam** deserves recognition as well—his cocktails were consistently excellent. Sadly, that's where consistency ends. Cocktail quality depends entirely on who's behind the bar. One bartender can make a fantastic cocktail, while another (the guy with the goatee) serves something that barely resembles the same drink. Unfortunately, the negatives significantly outweigh the positives. The resort promotes itself as family-friendly, yet it feels much more smoker-friendly. Smoking is allowed virtually everywhere outdoors: around restaurants, bars, pools, and entertainment areas. As a non-smoker, it's surprisingly difficult to find a place where you can simply enjoy a drink or a meal without breathing cigarette smoke. Even worse, the few outdoor seating areas away from smokers don't have a view of the evening entertainment. So your choice is simple: inhale cigarette smoke or miss the shows. The restaurant management also needs serious attention. At dinner time, finding a table often means standing in a queue and waiting for other guests to leave. This isn't the fault of the restaurant staff—they worked hard—but rather a management failure. If you invite thousands of guests, you should also provide enough seating for them. The beverage selection is far below what I'd expect from a resort claiming to be five stars. The wine was poor and honestly tasted as though it had been diluted with water. There is only a single beer available, with no alternatives. And the "juice" is an insult to the word. It's just a sugary fruit drink with a small amount of actual juice, artificial flavours, and acidity. Serving this in a supposed five-star all-inclusive resort is simply disappointing. Then there's the bizarre water policy. Guests receive one 1.5-liter bottle every two days. In the Greek summer, restricting drinking water like this feels cheap and completely unnecessary. Booking activities was frustrating. Despite trying repeatedly, I only managed to reserve archery. Popular activities appear to fill up almost instantly, making it difficult to enjoy everything the resort advertises. The departure experience perfectly summed up the hotel's attitude toward its guests. After checking out, we asked if we could get some water bottle before leaving for the airport. We were told to **buy it**. Seriously? After paying for an all-inclusive holiday, the hotel couldn't offer departing guests a bottle of water. It didn't end there. Need to store your hand luggage (or smth valuable) after checkout in a locker? Extra charge. Want to weigh your suitcase before heading to the airport? Extra charge. These are tiny services that many hotels provide free of charge as a courtesy, especially at the end of a guest's stay. Charging extra for every little thing leaves a very poor final impression and feels unnecessarily penny-pinching considering the price of the holiday. Overall, this resort has potential. There are dedicated staff members, good food, and a beautiful location. But the smoking policy, lack of seating at dinner, poor beverage quality, inconsistent bar service, restrictive water policy, frustrating activity booking system, and embarrassing cost-cutting at checkout make it impossible, in my opinion, to justify its five-star rating. Ironically, we've stayed in several four-star resorts that delivered a noticeably better overall experience than this so-called five-star property. Before we would consider returning—or recommending TUI Magic Life Plimmiri to friends and family—a lot needs to change. At the moment, I would honestly describe it as **a four-star resort at best—and perhaps the most tobacco-friendly family resort I've ever visited.** The holiday was enjoyable because Greece is beautiful. The resort simply came along for the ride.
We were extremely disappointed with our stay at Magic Life Plimmiri. Throughout our holiday, it felt like German-speaking guests were treated much better than everyone else. The rooms were very dated and not as clean as we expected. Our wardrobe door was hanging off its hinges, which should have been repaired before guests arrived. We've stayed in 4-star hotels that were much cleaner and in far better condition. For a hotel of this standard, it was very disappointing. The staff were often rude, unhelpful, and inconsistent. At the bar, I asked for a milkshake and was told they had finished. Moments later, a German-speaking guest asked for the same thing and was given a milkshake without any problem. We also struggled to get a booking at one of the speciality restaurants. After finally managing to get a reservation, the restaurant was almost empty, making it even more frustrating that it had been so difficult to book. Despite there being very few guests, we were made to feel rushed throughout the meal. Staff encouraged us to eat quickly and leave, and one member of staff even took my nephew's plate while he was still eating. We were served and finished three courses in just 35 minutes, which completely took away from what should have been an enjoyable dining experience. Another concern was that staff mopped the floors around the main restaurant and central walkways between approximately 7:00 am and 9:00 am, when many guests were heading to breakfast. The floors became extremely slippery and felt like a serious accident waiting to happen. It would make much more sense to do this before guests started using the area or after the breakfast rush. The pool area was also poorly maintained throughout the day. Empty cups and straws were left lying around the pool for long periods, and with the strong wind they were blown everywhere. There didn't appear to be anyone regularly collecting them, which made the area look untidy and neglected. For a hotel claiming to offer a premium all-inclusive experience, we were also surprised that there was no waiter service for drinks in the restaurants. Guests had to leave their meals to queue for drinks themselves, which took away from the dining experience. On our last day, we went to the snack bar to get something to eat before our journey home. We were told there were no cobs available, even though the snack bar was still open for another hour. We explained that we were leaving and just needed something to keep us going until we travelled, but the staff simply said no. It was only after asking to speak to the manager that, suddenly, a box of ready-made cobs appeared. Clearly, they were available all along. A member of staff called Caria at the beach was particularly rude when we asked about the watersports. Rather than being helpful, she made us feel like we were an inconvenience. Overall, the customer service was poor and left us feeling unwelcome. Based on our experience, it appeared that German-speaking guests received preferential treatment. If you're not a German speaker, don't expect the same level of service. Between the poor service, dated rooms, lack of cleanliness, rushed dining experience, and inconsistent treatment of guests, this was not the 5-star holiday we expected. Sadly, we won't be returning and cannot recommend this hotel based on our experience.
Nicole was a very good masseuse. Every time she moved to a different part of the body she checked the pressure was good. I really enjoyed the stretching as well as the deep tissue.
Very good massage from krisa - would do this again.
Just back from a fantastic week stay with 11 people (9 adults, 2 kids) can't say enough great things about this hotel! Location is far from the airport yes, but we knew this before booking so no surprise. The transfer did allow us to see a lot of the island though, and we had great commentary from the driver about the history as we drove through which was brilliant. Rooms were very spacious and clean, housekeeping very efficient and water supplied every 2 days. Lots of water machines everywhere to keep us hydrated in between the water deliveries. Upon arriving we were greeted with cold flannels and a lovely welcome. Reception very quick and efficient and helpful with any questions. Pools are big and plenty sunlougers, lots of entertainment and activities. Aqua biking and aqua aerobics were a highlight and the energy is kept high by the staff. Pool is cold yes but much needed with how hot it is. A great relief when the sun was hottest! The buffet was great, wide variety of food and different every night. Especially loved the Greek section and different meats on offer. Swordfish, mussels, brisket, tuna, chicken, pork, beef all seen and tried. There was a great salad bar too and plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too. Water slides are fantastic and a great laugh. Entertainment at night is very varied and the bands / greek dance group were particularly great. The DJ was also fantastic with our group staying until the end every night because of the fun we had! Cocktails were good, the bar were also very willing to make cocktails that weren't on the list. Coffee house also another highlight, delicious! Special shout to Lily, she introduced herself to our group during the evening entertainment and we saw and had such a laugh with her almost every night. Another shout out would be to Sam and Michael; to be honest not one member of staff fell below expectations, every one so helpful and friendly. Brilliant experience, top tier holiday. Would recommend to all :)
