Belussi Beach Hotel & Suites

Don’t dare to complain if you’re not happy with any aspect of the service. On arrival in the early hours of the morning, there was no-one on reception to greet us, despite this 4* hotel claiming to have a 24h reception. We sat in the reception area for several hours with our very tired 5 year old daughter and as cleaners and other staff walked through, they told us reception would open at 8am. At 8.40am, the hotelier eventually wandered in and greeted us with “good morning”. Maybe for him but not for us, and when we pointed this out and refused to say good morning back, he became very angry - shouting, banging on the desk and even shouting in our young daughter’s face at one point. He told us we were not welcome to stay because we wouldn’t say “good morning” to him and despite repeated conversations with the travel company (LoveHolidays) we were advised to leave. The hotelier refused to refund our money for the week we’d planned to stay there and we had to pay out for another hotel. Loveholidays initially promised to transfer our booking but they didn’t adhere to this. We were lucky to have the means to pay for somewhere else but some people might not. On our return, LoveHolidays continually referred our complaint back to the hotelier for approval - he lied, saying we’d shouted, sworn, been aggressive to his employees and had chosen to leave voluntarily. He had no evidence to support this (and LoveHolidays actually had evidence to prove otherwise) but they always took his word over ours and refused to acknowledge his poor customer service or more importantly, refund our money. The most awful holiday experience ever.

Nice 4* hotel in Zante at a quiet place. Private beach with sand, swimming pool. But not these things are matter... The hospitality, a friendly, smilie staff, a perfectly clean rooms, a top quality food what you got. The whole feeling of this place is unforgottable. We came at 10 a.m. and we were invited for a free breakfast, we left after one week, and left the room at 13:30. This family hotel just want to keep you satisfied from the owners till the trainee waitress. Thank you Dionisos for this experience and your hospitality!

Really nice and friendly Hotel. A warm welcome from the owner who informed us about he hotel and showed the way to our room made us feel welcomed and happy. The room was big with a nice view of the garden and even the sea. Ok beds and an ok bathroom. A plus that there was a rather big refrigerator and a kettle. The included breakfast was really great, lots to choose from and it was slightly altered from day to day. You could choose to be very healthy or the opposite! Nice pool, just enough to even swim some lengths in it and cool enough to cool down from the heat. The pool bar was great, nice lunch and a really helpful and friendly staff. We will definatly go back here, we really liked it!!!

Family run hotel who can’t do enough for you. Room was spacious and very clean, linen and towels changed every day plus beach towels. The shower temperature changed from boiling hot to cold in seconds without moving the lever! The small beach and grass area decked out with free sun beds was beautiful and the sea crystal clear. The breakfast was buffet style. However there are NO evening meals or pool bar snacks available in May. These may well be available later in the season. TUI have been contacted about this issue. As there are only 2 restaurants in walking distance this was an issue for us as we expected meals at the hotel. The bus stop is only a few minutes walk, however they DONT run in May or June. The supermarket is 30 minutes walk to the main road. Also there is a bakery opposite who serve excellent coffee and giant doughnuts, lush! Andreas restaurant is only 5 minutes walk beautiful setting by the beach however we were put off by the pushy waiter and the frozen fish. Also expensive for what it was. Porto Roulis restaurant is 10 minute walk, this family run taverna next to the beach was amazing. Very friendly, fresh fish caught by the daughter, music from the old man and a simple menu was what Zante is all about. We did have a good relaxing quiet holiday thanks to Dionisis and his family. Drosia being out of the way I would recommend a car, even if it’s just to get an evening meal, ( if the hotel are not serving food). Taxis can be booked by the family €25 to Zante and €15 to Tsilivi.

What a lovely hidden gem, family run hotel staff amazing just what I needed lovely week away amazing weather Hotel and rooms spotless cleaned and fresh towels daily I have mobility issues and every part of hotel just a few steps away We were bed and breakfast and plenty of choice Meals around the pool area massive portions and reasonable prices Couple of food tavern next door good quality Seafront and always plenty of beds also around the pool Would definitely go back
