Ilaria

Illaria hotel means a lot of things: quiet atmosphere, big garden, spacious rooms, super friendly staff, goodd location (close to the airport, close to Laganas and Kalamaki). We loved the rooster waking us up every morning. The room was convenient, as we only slept there. The pool is big and well kept, nevertheless in October it was a bit too cold to use it. We only had a breakfast there, and, although repetitive, it was good. The hotel is run by super nice people. One advise I'd have for the hotel would be to please take care of the cats living there. We fed them throughout our stay and we hope someone takes care of them when the hotel is closed for the winter season.

This hotel was amazing, we had he most amazing time here, the hotel is perfectly situated between Laganas and Kalamaki, ideal to explore both resorts, the hotel is huge and very well presented, the food was amazing with a great choice for all tastes. They could not do enough for you, i am celiac and they went above and beyond to accommodate my allergies, would definitely come again, so friendly and help full.

This hotel is not a 4 star by a long shot. Rooms very basic. We tried eating there one evening @20 euros each, it was awful so I wouldn't bother. Simmona the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful as were the others not forgetting Thannos. Didn't have to fight for a sun lounger which was great, spiross made decent food at the pool bar basic but nice. Mattresses were 2 inches thick had to ask for another as my husband couldn't sleep properly and was in pain . Air con was free but does not go below 16 degrees. Which @ 32 degrees at night was tough. There was no entertainment and it was a 20 minute walk to kalamaki and a 10 minute walk to Laganas which looked like the slums. It was too hot to walk so we took a taxi 12 euros to kalamaki and 10 to Laganas which takes a lot out of your budget when you just need to go to a supermarket. Our stay was ok but just ok.

The Ilaria was a perfect haven situated between the vibrant nightlife of Laganas and the more chilled vibe of Kalamaki. The hotel was clean and very spacious- reckon you could land a small aero plane in the main lobby. The rooms reflected the sense of space and generosity as did the menus. Breakfast was a mix of trad Brit’s abroad and more excitingly local specialities. The staff were so helpful. My teen kids arrived unexpectedly without me and were looked after really well. They couldn’t have been more helpful. The pool was seldom busy and again the sense of space was brilliant. One previous reviewer suggested that if they tidied up a few things they could be 5 stars. I disagree - they would lose the local charm and become another steel and glass anonymous hotel. The character of the place really delivered. Thank you to all of the staff and those who make it so special.

What a beautiful place. So chilled, so relaxing. Staff were so friendly, nothing too much trouble. Good breakfast selection, pool bar had enough to keep you going over lunch time. Pool was lovely. Bedrooms so clean, freshly made beds & towels every day. In middle of two towns Laganas 10 minute walk. Kalamaki 25 minute walk. Ideal for a chilled trip
