Tsamis Zante Suites

Just returned home from 10 nights staying here.The staff were the best we have experienced at any hotel.The hotel itself was spotlessly clean.Our room was spacious with everything we needed.water was replenished daily,however if you wanted coffee pods you had to pay for these.The only problem was the hanging space for clothes ,there was nowhere with enough height in the wardrobes to hang dresses.The area feels remote.There is a bus stop half a mile away,also a taverna and supermarket.We didnt find the roads suitable to walk along as they had no pavements.We did miss going for daily walks.The hotel has direct access to the sea by way of steps.The setting is beautiful.We were half board,which you would need to be unless you have a car.A negative for us was the fine dining restaurant and vegan restaurant were both closed during our stay.The food was very good.Sometimes we food it not to be hot enough.I personal didnt find they had a good variety of plain grilled/baked fish and meats,most proteins were in sauces. That said we always found enough to eat.There was some wines missing from the wine list,also no beer on draught during our stay.A big negative was the smell of sewerage walking along a path to the pool and restaurant.It was at times overpowering. But if you want a relaxing holiday this is the place to go.

Lovely hotel, slightly remote. Its a 5 star hotel but I think 4 stars is a better valuation, very clean rooms, ours was without a private pool, the location is very quiet with minimal parking. The staff were all excellent and friendly. Most spoke English so don't get some of the negative reviews, elsewhere, about not speaking English. The hotel was very clean and the rooms nicely furnished and had a safe. There are three pools one on the main building where the reception is and shaded from the sea breeze with a bar area and pool side mattresses. The two other pools each on a different level overlooked the sea again both had bars also they both had pool side sun lounger mattresses. There is no beach to speak of but there are steps leading into the sea, where you can wade out at least 50 meters. The breakfasts were great , with a good mix of cooked food , cold food cereals coffee , tea, fresh omelette, fruit etc. The evening meals served between 1900-2200 hrs were excellent with a large choice of salads,hot and cold food , lovely deserts etc. The only let down to this hotel was the fact that there is no beach to lay on although there are plenty sun loungers on the sea side sitting area. This area can get a bit wet if it starts to get breezy as the waves splash onto the terrace area. If this happens you can move to the other pools. Zakynthos itself is approximately 30 mins away. We absolutely love this hotel and always visit off peak when the crowds have left. Staff are lovely and always obliging. It's an 'away from it all' location. You need a car - especially if on bed and breakfast basis in order to travel further and discover what the island has to offer. Breakfast - even off-peak - has lots of breakfast choices including cooked to order eggs, French toast, pancakes etc. Dinner choice (buffet) is also very good with plenty of choice and daily changes including freshly cooked fish. Rooms and pools are also great.

My husband and I just stayed here for a week and we honestly have so many good things to say about this place. It has stunning views, adults only, so peaceful, there were plenty of places to sit around the pools where we never failed to find a sunny spot. We had a room with a private pool. Rooms are as pictured, they were so clean and housekeeping was great. We also used the gym which is small but nice and had enough equipment for a small workout. The staff were absolutely wonderful from the managers to the waiting staff and Doris! We also got free welcome drinks on arrival. They made our stay, nothing was too much to ask, they were so friendly and helpful. They were so efficient and worked really hard to make everything 5*, the best part of all was the food. The food was AMAZING we were half board and it is honestly the best buffet breakfast and dinner I’ve ever had everything tasted great, at breakfast and dinner there was always a wide range of different foods/ meats/ cuisines/ salads/ deserts and fruit available, there really was something for everyone every night and it wasn’t repetitive. The hotel is quite out the way, not near any bars/ food places etc or much to do apart from a small super market so definitely recommend half board. The only small thing as to why we haven’t given it 5* is that we could constantly hear people in the room next to us through the walls even if they were watching TV we could hear it, we could also constantly hear the people above us walking around their room. Also if people were smoking we could smell it if we were in our pool/ in our room sometimes and we don’t smoke, would recommend separating smokers rooms and non smokers rooms. Other than that it was amazing and we would definitely return!

We had a lovely time for four nights, very good hotel, brilliant view and lots of space in the pool(s)/ beach area. Service was exceptional and the rooms were great and very clean. The location is very quiet and relaxing, overall very enjoyable stay and would recommend!!
