Hotel Riu Palace Jandia

We had a very enjoyable week at Riu Palace Jandia in July 2026. The hotel offered what we had been looking for - delicioua cousine, no hustle or towel wars at the swimming pool and friendly, hospitable staff. It was a first week of three we have spent on the island, and the 2nd hotel we went was not even close to the quality bar the RIU Palace had raised.

Could not fault this hotel. Yes the majority of clients are German, but we find the best hotels in the Canary Islands usually are & we have no problem with this, as they are sociable & most speak impeccable English (which puts us Brits to shame!). Reading some reviews that say the hotel prioritised & caters only for the Germans is pure rubbish.. .Everyone is treated in the same courteous, friendly manner & the service everywhere in the hotel is excellent. We were well looked after by all staff..but a special thank you to Delores & Ben in the restaurant, for their warmth & service… & Eli who was always cheerful & smiling. The food served in the restaurants & snack bar is very good & beautifully fresh, with a really nice selection at breakfast & dinner, so there’s always something delicious to eat. From reception to housekeeping, this hotel deserves its 5* rating.

MOUSE AND MOUSE DROPPINGS IN THE ROOM - NO COMPENSATION We found mouse feces in the room on the bed, but didn't know what it was at first. One day later at night, we noticed a mouse running around the room, even inside our bags. After that, the following happened: 1. During midnight, we had to move all our belongings and relocate to another room. 2. The manager and director at the reception refused to give us any compensation and told us to contact Booking.com instead. 3. We contacted Booking.com, and they tried to reach the hotel several times by calling and writing emails, but received no reply from the property. 4. I have tried to call and write emails several times over the last 3 days to the hotel, but there has been zero reply. + In a 5-star hotel, nobody at the reception can speak even at an A2 level of English. This is a real shame, ridiculous, and completely unacceptable from a 5-star hotel. This incident will be reported to the Spanish Health Authority and to the European Consumer Centre as well.

Our stay at Riu Palace Jandia was excellent from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with stunning ocean views and direct access to a wonderful sandy beach. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, providing everything needed for a relaxing holiday. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it an ideal place to unwind. While the hotel has just one swimming pool and a relatively small gym, both facilities were well maintained. There were always plenty of sunbeds available around the pool, regardless of the time of day, which made relaxing especially easy. Guests should note that sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach are available for an additional charge, as they are not operated by the hotel. The food was very good, with a wide variety of fresh and tasty options available every day. The restaurants and bars were excellent and contributed greatly to the overall holiday experience. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay – friendly, professional, and always happy to help. The service was consistently of a high standard, and we particularly appreciated the attention to detail and the genuine hospitality shown by all members of the team. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel. We would happily return in the future and would highly recommend Riu Palace Jandia to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in a beautiful location

Exceptional Service The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the staff. Every team member we encountered was incredibly friendly, hardworking, and always ready to help with a genuine smile, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Spacious and Spotless Accommodations We were very impressed with our room. It was exceptionally clean and far more spacious than we expected, providing a perfect, comfortable retreat after a day in the sun. Prime Location and Amenities The hotel’s location is unbeatable, perched on a rocky outcrop with breathtaking panoramic views of the golden Jandia beach. Having direct beach access and being just a short walk from the charming old town of Morro Jable made our daily outings so convenient. We also thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor pool overlooking the ocean. Outstanding Gastronomy The food at the resort was truly exceptional. From the extensive morning and evening buffets featuring fresh live cooking stations to the excellent choices at the Krystal fusion restaurant, every meal was delicious, hot, and offered an amazing variety of dishes. What We Liked Best (and Least) Best: The combination of the warm hospitality from the staff, the sheer comfort of the large and clean rooms, and the fantastic, high-quality dining options. Least: If we had to mention one minor area for improvement, the gym is on the smaller side with a limited selection of equipment. While it serves for a basic workout, it is a bit modest compared to the high standard of the rest of the resort's facilities. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing and high-quality getaway!
