⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ TUI BLUE Flamingo Beach, Playa Blanca, Lanzarote We’ve just returned from an amazing two-week stay at TUI BLUE Flamingo Beach, and overall we had a fantastic family holiday. We travelled as a same-sex couple with two children and felt completely comfortable and welcome throughout our stay. The resort had a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and was a great place for families of all backgrounds. The location is superb, right on the beachfront and within an easy walk of Playa Blanca. We were lucky enough to have a sea-view apartment, and waking up to those views every morning was one of the highlights of the holiday. The apartments were spacious, comfortable and well equipped, and the pools and splash areas kept the children entertained every day. One of the nicest parts of the holiday was meeting some lovely people and making new friends. It really added to the experience. The food was always plentiful, with plenty of variety throughout the day. Breakfast was a real highlight—the full English was excellent and set us up perfectly for the day. The ice cream and desserts were also a massive hit! One of the biggest highlights of our holiday was our trip to Texas Ranch. The combination of the zoo and water park made for a fantastic family day out. It also became a very special memory for us because our youngest son achieved something we’d never imagined. He has had a long-standing phobia of birds, and during our visit he found the confidence to interact with them. Seeing him overcome that fear was an emotional moment as parents and one we’ll never forget. While we met some truly exceptional members of staff, we did find that a small number weren’t as welcoming or helpful as we would have expected. It didn’t spoil our holiday, but there was room for more consistency in customer service. A special thank you to Fatima, our maid. Her attention to detail, pride in her work and dedication were outstanding. Our apartment was immaculate every single day, and she always greeted us with a smile. She is an absolute credit to TUI BLUE and, in our opinion, has all the qualities to be a team leader. We’d also like to give a huge shout-out to the Kids Club and the entertainment team, who worked incredibly hard every day to create a fun atmosphere for guests of all ages. A special mention goes to Helena, who was warm, friendly and full of energy throughout our stay, and to the lady who performed the evening singing entertainment. Both were standout members of the team and helped make our evenings really enjoyable. And you can’t forget TUI the robot!! There are a few areas where the resort could be even better: * The daily sunbed rush was a shame to see and could perhaps be managed more effectively. * The Mickey Mouse children’s pool area would really benefit from having its own bar or somewhere nearby to grab drinks and snacks while spending time with the kids. * We also felt there could be more places to refill water bottles or access drinking water around the resort, particularly during the hotter parts of the day. Air con was and issue and felt too hot some nights. We did get a fan which helped. One night the air conditioning was leaking in the restaurant on reporting it was the same next night with guests still using the area. Overall, we had a brilliant two weeks. We came home relaxed, refreshed and with wonderful family memories, new friendships and lots of laughs. Holidays are about more than sunshine—they’re about moments you’ll remember forever, and this trip gave us plenty of those. Thank you to everyone who helped make our stay so enjoyable. With a few small improvements, this resort would be difficult to beat, and we’d certainly consider returning.

The all inclusive, entertain staff, and kids clubs were amazing. Great location by the sea, and lots to do with kids. Facilities are a little tired but well cleaned and maintained. We were far enough away from the main restaurant that there was no sound from the evening entertainment and were able to get sun loungers each day. I tried to book late check out before flying and this wasn’t possible so I tried in person on our first day here as we weren’t due to be collected for transfer to the airport until 8pm but was told I needed to come back the day before we flew out. Came back the day before at 8am and requested again, the gentleman in front of me got late check out quickly and efficiently and his key card extended. When I asked however I was told no it was not possible as our room was going to be in use, I asked if there was a possibility of another room just for a few hours, that I’d pay anything extra and was told to come back that afternoon to see. Went back and was told no there was no late check outs, I begged for anything they could offer because it would mean my kids not sleeping for 24 hours, I was told again no that we should sleep on the chairs in reception. The gentleman then kept repeating that the hotel was full, they could do nothing for me and that we should just sit on the counter behind the reception to wait for the airplane with him. In situations like this, I appreciate if there’s nothing that can be done, then being rude isn’t the answer and his attitude completely ruined what had been a nice week. If you can get early flights then this could be a wonderful family holiday with young children, if you can only get later flights then choose another hotel to avoid stress.

July 2026 This was a Last minute booking. Hotel has huge potential but is tired and in need of repair in many places. My sons got locked in the bedroom as the whole lock mechanism broke off, at the same time I was locked out on the patio. My children are teens so although upset they were calling out the window for help…. This would not have been possible had they been younger. However, the door had historical damage it looked like this had happened before and the door repaired. This was not a great start for us. The entertainment crew are 5* and go above and beyond but the entertainment is very much aimed at younger children, very little for teens/teenagers. Location is fabulous close to the beach and restaurants. This was our second visit to Playa Blanca as we like the resort. The restaurant was very busy towards the end of each service so would recommend getting there early, there was lots of choice. Pool entry was inconsistent some mornings 7.30am other days 8.40am - also I would question why the pool is not cleaned the night before and this would solve the above problems. What I recommend staying here.. yes if you have young children Probably not for teenagers or older folks. We wouldn’t stay again

Where to start… firstly I am no snob!! However, the complex is very tired, rooms are adequate but falling apart. All around the complex there places to watch for where you can trip & fall. If you go All Inclusive… beware, not everything that is advertised is included, for instance if you would like a specialist coffee, you will pay. Entertainment.. just go somewhere else!! The main pool… you can’t even see the floor for how dirty it is..Food, there is choice my very basic.. fill ya boots with pizza, chips & bugers… Overall, just spend a little more & go somewhere else.. honestly the worst Tie Blue I have ever stayed at.

Overall a great holiday, we gad a lovely time. Location was great, good walks either way and not far to the harbour. Food was good and plenty of choice. Lots of activities going on all day, my 16 year old found plenty to do. Some great shows at night and we enjoyed the quizzes, even though they were quite hard! A couple of niggles, could do with some TLC in places. Some of the steps were a bit dangerous and the room cleaning could be more thorough, but this didn't spoil a great holiday. They need to sort out the pool area access, it was anywhere from 7.45 to 8.50am to get in, meaning a lot of queuing for sunbeds. Especially as it started getting busier the last couple of days we were there. Our room was opposite the Sports Bar which was noisy, but we enjoyed sitting on our balcony listening. Once in our room with the door closed we couldn't hear it. Would I go back? Yes, probably!
