Hotel Vis a Vis

The hotel and views are stunning. Pool is perfect temperature. The staff are so friendly and attentive. Great quality food too. Also felt the bed and pillows were comfiest I’ve ever experienced!

Quite simply an Italian Riviera dream come true! An amazing hotel that has breathtaking views of both the Bay of Fables and Bay of Silence . The property is immaculately maintained and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. It has a fabulous restaurant and a rooftop bar that’s magical at sunset. The pool is an oasis of calm and serenity. A very special place indeed. Thank you to all of the staff and most especially Cinzia who helped to make our stay truly memorable. We wish this lovingly family owned hotel many more years of business.

I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. It is incredibly beautiful in terms of the views and the restaurants and staff are wonderful. It’s the perfect place to stay to explore the Cinque Terre and get a break from the crowds at the end of every day. The train is a 15 minute walk and just a short trip to any of the five towns. The town the hotel is in is also lovely for eating or shopping or going to the beach, but without the crowds.

Terrible experience. I was unable to sleep for the entire night because of the loud noise of water running through the pipes. The disturbance continued uninterrupted until morning, making it impossible to get any rest. What is even worse is that, after I reported the issue, the hotel did absolutely nothing to address it. In fact, it became clear that they were already aware of the problem. I find it unacceptable that such a serious issue, capable of completely ruining a guest’s stay, was ignored without any attempt to intervene or offer a solution. An unacceptable situation that I would not expect even from a run-down one-star hotel. Esperienza pessima. Non sono riuscita a dormire per tutta la notte a causa del forte rumore dell’acqua che scorreva nelle tubature. Il disturbo è durato ininterrottamente fino al mattino, rendendo impossibile riposare. La cosa più grave è che, una volta segnalato il problema, l’hotel non ha fatto assolutamente nulla per risolverlo. Anzi, è apparso evidente che ne fossero già a conoscenza. Trovo inaccettabile che un inconveniente così serio, capace di compromettere completamente il soggiorno degli ospiti, venga ignorato senza alcun tentativo di intervento o soluzione. Una situazione inaccettabile, che non mi aspetterei nemmeno da un albergo fatiscente a una stella.

The hotel Vis a Vis is wonderful. The staff are great. Food excellent. And the views of the bay so beautiful. It is an experience to be repeated time and again, as we have done over the last quarter century. It just gets better and better. If you want to walk the hotel is a very good base. if you just want to browse around the old town its minutes walk away. Just a great place!
