Fab location, 10mins to the train station, clean and tidy at all times. If you would like to use the pool you need to get there early when it firsts opens. We tried a few times and different times and it was full

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Boston. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The drinks at the bar were great and really reasonably priced. Our room was beautiful and modern with a huge bed and a fantastic shower - absolutely perfect. The housekeepers were super friendly too. We didn't have enough towels when we first arrived and I spoke to one of the housekeeping team who immediately make sure that we had plenty of towels and even wrote a lovely little note apologising. We only stayed for 5 days/5 nights but because the hotel was such a great base we managed to pack so much in! Monticantini really is a lovely little town, perfect for exploring lots of lovely places in Tuscany. We packed so much in the 5 days and managed to see San Gimignano, Lucca, Sienna and Cinque Terra. On the last day we decided not to travel too far afield because we had an early flight to catch the following morning. However, I'm so glad we did because we found a fabulous tram that took us up to Monticanti Alto - a wonderful hill-top village with lots of lovely bars and restaurants and a beautiful little church. A real gem of a place that we didn't realise was right on our doorstep! I'd say the only let down for me in terms of the hotel was the rooftop swimming pool - it's quite small, the surrounding area is quite small plus there's no shade at all, no umbrellas and therefore we only went up there once for the whole of our trip. On the plus side, by not using the pool it meant we did a lot more exploring and got to see so many different places we may not have seen had we used the pool more! We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food but it looked good! Thank you Hotel Boston - you were perfect :)

Excellent service and food, swimming pool the best

This is one of the best small hotels we have stayed in! The staff were fantastic, the location was in a quiet area close to both local railway stations. The restaurant meals and breakfast were superb. A great location to discover the town and to travel either to Florence or Lucca.

The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. The basic room was comfortable and clean. It is well located to walk in the town and to the station to explore further. Very good value for money.
